How am I supposed to be normal about Mona after turning her into a fucking pirate captain and alluding to having her hat and sword be passed down to Dread? Obelisk is too push over-y to be a captain. And I felt Mona needed more spotlight. Calling her Captain Clipper for now. (mainly for lore of her normal counterpart being one of the more swift members of the tribe, and Clipper a fast moving boat/ship)

Summer Vacation Sleepover in the Time Can Fly AU! Lets see. Tidal and Derecho up front 'watching' (Derecho found the horror film to be very boring and fell asleep) Tidal is going to have nightmares for weeks. Chive is scared hiding behind the couch. Jade and Titan competitively rizzing Shimmer up (Unsuccessfully.) Rowdy and Ashes' first kiss- doesn't go according to plan since Ashes is a dog and assumes Rowdy also would lick. And Azure has burnt the popcorn. Enjoy!

Finally, Bud the Badger (aka my sticksamy kid) is done. He wields homemade bolas / bolases and he is paranoid like Sticks, but in a somewhat helpful way. Always has first aid kits and other emergency items stuffed in his makeshift pockets on his boots. Cares very much about his cousin Lazuli (and Ivy ofc) even if he gives him a heart attack on the daily, and is one of the only things that keeps the idiot alive. Usually nice, but can be vicious, like Amy (Also bossy like her)

Thorn the Echidna

Thorn's the 'gentle giant' archtype, and hates violence, but could absolutely destroy someone if he wanted to. He would just never want to, unless someone he cared about was getting hurt. Thorn was from the Knuckles Clan, but left during Pachacamac's rule because as he got older to understand what was happening, he didn't like the violent turn the tribe was taking. So he's been alone since he was 16, having migrated towards the coast of Mystic Ruins, living in a cove near where Tails' workshop will some day be. The coast wraps around to the segment of Mystic Ruins that will become Angel Island, and he ends up searching for crabs there. And Obelisk finds him during a patrol, and despite having the biggest gay panic of his life, asks him who tf he is and why he's so close his tribe's grounds. Because Thorn is nonaggressive in nature, Obelisk ends up listening to him and helps him find the crabs and sends him on his way. They end up crossing paths so often that they just talk sometimes and eventually it become an unspoken romantic partnership. Neither really confirmed it but it was clear so they just went with it. With how things in the tribe were going, Obelisk was tempted to take Knuckles and run off with him and Thorn, but he knew his presence was needed severely in the tribe, so he stayed. Unfortunately. Thorn's still out there in Mystic Ruins. Knuckles knows who he is, he has vague memories of meeting him a few times when he was little. They may or may not cross paths again. And if they do, it'd be bittersweet. Either way, if Thorn had had a way of getting to Knuckles (or Coba as he knows him) he would've taken him in without a second thought. Bonus: Tikal's a sister, ofc she's gonna tease Obelisk about his crushes. Also Obelisk was very paranoid, acting like the whole tribe would just. explode if he had a new romantic partner. (It was really guilt for moving on)

Could Talus beat Knuckles?

As a teen? No absolutely not. Even if she's naturally strong, she had to work to get to where she is. As a young adult when he's getting weaker? Definitely. She is part black arms + trained by Knuckles after all. He can still hit like a semi, but he used to hit like a train. That's how she hits now. (Aka strength wise, she's as strong as he was in his peak) I try to make her not too OP but that combo for parents is- insane bro. She at least has weaknesses that balance her out. Like she can't get get too angry or kaboom and while it doesn't hurt her, it can hurt those she cares about / leaves her very drained despite being fine. Or she's not very fast/low stamina. she's also short af. She's not as gullible as Knuckles but she is easily guilt tripped. Not as strong as Shadow though, if anyone was wondering. She also has no chaos control, or chaos abilities other than the chaos blast that's spontaneous and not something she has choice of using. (she can probably go super though, just would feel it's 'wrong' to use the emeralds for that, or not trust herself, or something idk)

One of the besties, @firecurls-27, gifted me six fankids for my bday yesterday and now I've gotta grind to draw them all in my style XDDD First up is Talus, shaduckles/knuxadow child. I did tweak some things that were mainly color mixing (like her snout and coat colors simply because of my Shadow and Knuckles redesigns having slightly different palettes) but I also did decide to give her a default teal shirt without the design on it. It'd be funny to me if she just. Had strictly teal shirts but all had different designs.

Description

Talus is 19-21 years old, and has the mark of the guardian on her chest under her shirt (It's shaped like a rounded poison ivy leaf.) Despite her being in a semi-popular band with her friends, she takes her duty seriously when need be. Despite who her fathers are, she's actually rather calm and collected when it comes to anger issues. However she does have high anxiety due to expectation. So, she dabbles in weed. She's incredibly strong but not fast at all. Has low stamina as a whole, you better hope she doesn't land a hit before she gets tired because you'd be hospitalized. However, after one rather- eventful- tour, she finds herself expecting her daughter, Marigold, the father being bandmate Slick. She tells him just because she knows it was the right thing, even if she knew he would reject helping. Not that she really wanted his help to be honest, though it still hurt her in a way she doesn't quite understand the reason behind. She kind of isolates herself from those she cares about until the very end of the pregnancy, the only person who 100% sniffed it out early on being her aunt Rouge. She tries to cover it up, not wanting people to dote on her or worry about her. So, she just literally doesn't tell her dads. Comes home with her egg like "Hey guys wassup" She does tell her friends Cayla and Yami early on. All that being said, she drops out of the band, not wanting to be around Slick, but also because she wanted to switch her focus to her kid and the Master Emerald / Angel Island as a whole. And let's just say she may be a kinder guardian than her father, but less gullible as well. She can and will end someone though if she needs to. She and her friend Cayla end up dating and raising Mari together. Both of which inspired her to strive to be better, so she rarely smokes or parties or anything like that anymore. (Can't do weed at all, she has a poor reaction to it now after going awhile without it.) But yeah, she ends up taking up her duties on Angel Island and living a happy life. ***Note: Her spurs on her knuckles are retractable, like a cat's claws.

Ripple the Platypus

Here he is, Shimmer's adopted son in the future that I mentioned on the adult refs. He's about 6 when she finds him, but in this picture is 8. I used Starline's design as a ref for the bill and tail because I love the parallel that the only two monotreme species have opposite tails. (echidna's are 'down, up, down', and platypus seem to be 'up, down, up.') He was found alone in Mystic Ruins shortly after a tourist group visit while Shimmer was doing cleanup, but even after weeks of trying to find out who his parents were, they mysteriously couldn't find them, even with Tidal's help of trying to hack into the train's systems to see who was on the last route to Mystic Ruins. Plus, Ripple seemingly would rather stay there than go back. And with how things work in the Sonic Universe- that's just what happened. He stayed, under Shimmer's care. He's explorative and exciteable, but also cautious because of living on Angel Island. Thanks to his mom and grandpa, he knows where all the traps are, and if he doesn't, he knows how to tell if one IS there by sight alone. He loves his family, including the 'friend found family' (Tidal, Jade, Chive, ect. The Silvaze family is technically crossed over because of Rowdy and Ashes) His favorite uncle is Rowdy because he sees him more but because he also brings back cool rocks. When he meets someone he starts out shy, but eventually if he's comfortable he won't stop yapping. He loves to talk and learn new things even if those new things are unimportant or he doesn't fully understand it. (Love uncle Tidal for that one. They can yap back and forth for hours) He does have his spurs! I just couldn't showcase them with this pose. So while he isn't very strong (yet, certainly Shimmer can't allow that) he can definitely defend himself with that. His favorite place is the chao gardens, which he likes to spend time with Chive there. Rosy is still growing up by this point (She'd be roughly 14 when Shimmer's 25) so she's his "lets do some crazy stuff" aunt. (nothing too crazy for mobians, but probably like hanging from trees and stuff (At least she's a bat, he is- in fact not I imagine it's a bit harder with webbed hands) He loves to weave, taught how to by Knuckles. Anyways yeah. You can ask questions about him if you'd like ^^
