NYPD Stops Spying on Muslims
The NYPD has disbanded a program which it used to spy on Muslims
A Decade of Spying Comes to an End
New York – Since 2003, the New York Police Department (NYPD) has been running a Muslim surveillance program that was created as a response to the terrorist attacks on 9/11. This program, called the Demographics Unit or the Zone Assessment Unit, has recently been disbanded by the police department. Needless to say, the spy tactics were extremely controversial and raised First Amendment concerns from advocacy groups.
The unit worked by sending plainclothes police officers into Mosques with hidden microphones to record sermons. In addition, they also monitored bookstores, cafes and other shops that openly identified with the Islamic faith. Some would even try to engage Muslims in discussions about U.S. foreign policy and relates issues to see where they stood and evaluate the likelihood of a terrorist plot. According to The New York Post, the unit successfully worked in secretly until 2011, when the Associated Press published an expose showing that the NYPD was spying on Muslims. The investigation ended up winning a Pulitzer Prize.
NYPD Working with the CIA
The surveillance program actually was not created by the NYPD, but by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). CIA officer Lawrence Sanchez constructed the program as a way to find would-be terrorist plots in average, mundane locations; law enforcement would then be able to prevent the attack before it took place. According to MSNBC, however, an NYPD official testified under oath that the spying program had not led to any legitimate terrorism investigations. There is also no evidence that the program actually prevented an attack.
Former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg is on record as defending the program, saying it was necessary to help keep the country and the people of New York safe. Mayor Bill de Blasio has taken a much different approach, however. Since his run for mayor, he has been very outspoken about the need to stop the spying program to heal relations between minority communities and law enforcement. He said in a recent statement:
“Our administration has promised the people of New York a police force that keeps our city safe, but that is also respectful and fair. This reform is a critical step forward in easing tensions between the police and the communities they serve, so that our cops and our citizens can help one another go after the real bad guys.”
The Center for Constitutional Rights and Muslim Advocates released a joint statement upon the disbandment of the spying program. It read in part:
“While we welcome the dismantling of the Demographics Unit as a long overdue step towards reining in the unconstitutional excesses of the NYPD, what has to stop is the practice of suspicion-less surveillance of Muslim communities, not just the unit assigned to it. We will continue to work, through litigation and advocacy, to ensure the NYPD is fully and finally respecting the rights of the Muslim Community.”
It looks as though these two groups are on the same page with the ACLU, who are equally satisfied that the spying program is gone, but are still on the lookout for similar tactics.

New Post has been published on http://misguidedchildren.com/politics/2014/05/scotus-refuses-to-review-ndaa-indefinite-detention-of-us-citizens/20197
SCOTUS refuses to review NDAA Indefinite Detention of US Citizens
On April 28, 2014,  the Supreme Court of the United States refused to review the NDAA‘s provision for indefinite detention of Americans. By doing so, it effectively allowed the federal government free reign to put anyone they choose in confinement as long as they want without due process… a serious breach of the U.S. Constitution. It almost sounds like a conspiracy theory, or maybe a song from 1977. But it is very real.
“Last thing I remember, I wasRunning for the doorI had to find the passage backTo the place I was before“Relax, ” said the night man,“We are programmed to receive. You can check-out any time you like,But you can never leave! “
Lyric to the song “Hotel California” by Don Felder, Glenn Frey and Don Henley
The NDAA’s indefinite detention clause gives the President extreme powers to detain American citizens… indefinitely. Thus far, the “fixes” to the 2012 legislation have been rejected by Congress.
No Standing
The Supreme Court has rejected many appeals to have them review hot-button issues by using the “no standing” response.
A U.S. District Court Judge, Katherine Forrest,  ruled in 2012 that the NDAA section 1021 was harmful to the First Amendment, and issued a permanent injunction against its use. The Government appealed that decision and others like it, and won by the SCOTUS refusing to review it – effectively killing the lawsuit. (Original lawsuit -  Hedges v. Obama, U.S. Supreme Court, No. 13-758.)
The court said that the plaintiffs had “no standing” – the same argument they used to reject all lawsuits regarding Barack Hussein Obama’s eligibility to be President.
Reuters wrote, “The appeals court said the challengers had no standing because they could not show the provision has any bearing on the government’s authority to detain U.S. citizens…The court said the plaintiffs, who were not U.S. citizens, lacked standing to sue because they did not show ‘a sufficient threat that the government will detain them’ under the provision.”
It appears the technicalities utilized by the Supreme court are ones that tend to favor the government’s position. In order for  a lawsuit against the NDAA to succeed, it would have to be brought by a U.S. citizen(s), after someone was threatened with such detention or actually detained, if we read that correctly.
Constitutional Issues
The vague provision of NDAA 1021 potentially violates not only the First Amendment rights of citizens, but the 5th Amendment’s due process clause, and the “equal protection” clause of the 14th Amendment.
“This pernicious law poses one of the greatest threats to civil liberties in our nation’s history…this law can be used by authorities to detain (forever) anyone the government considers a threat to national security and stability – potentially even demonstrators and protesters exercising their First Amendment rights.” Brian Trautman, 2012

South Carolina -Family of Dead Armed Robber Make Laughable Claim
One suspect died in a botched robbery attempt
Spartanburg, South Carolina , February 2o14 -  Botched Attempted Armed Robbery at Waffle House leaves one suspect dead
Picture yourself sitting down to breakfast at the local diner; just as you’re about to enjoy your meal, two armed thugs burst into the restaurant and start threatening people and the employees. You have a concealed weapon and the thugs attention is now drawn to you. What is your next move? Hopefully you would do just what Justin Harrison did: fire your weapon.
Justin Harrison, a man licensed by the state of South Carolina to carry a firearm saved a Waffle house from being robbed while shooting one suspect to death and attempting to detain the second suspect.
Not feel threatened?
In all respects, this man should be lauded a hero, but the family of the dead armed robber believes otherwise. Dante Williams is clearly seen entering a South Carolina Waffle House, pointing a gun at employees and customers and attempting to rob the restaurant. But, the family of Williams says that Harrison didn’t need to shoot and shouldn’t have felt threatened.
Of course he should not have felt threatened, he should have laid on the floor like a good victim and just let the criminals win, right? Well, that would have saved Dante, but that is not what Americans do, true Americans will stand up to fight criminals. So poor Dante had to go and die, well, I guess he learned his once in a lifetime lesson, don’t mess with true Americans.
There’s no question that Harrison handled the situation correctly, According to David Blanton, a former Spartanburg County deputy who was Harrison’s weapons instructor. “Not only was he defending his own life, which the law says he can do, but there were other people in the restaurant.”
“Needs more training”
Tamika McSwain, Williams’ cousin, claimed that Harrison needed more training, and if he had had that, he might not have fired the fatal shots. Are you kidding me? Sounds to me that he had all the training he needed. Had he had less training he may not have killed Dante, and then we could waist a lot of tax payer dollars on a trial and taking care of this scum bag for the rest of his life in prison.
Come to think of it, she could be on to something, Jawan Craig, was caught later, convicted and sentenced to 30 years in prison. Had Harrison had more training, he could have taken them both out and saved the citizens the burden and the tax dollars.

Borders (No, Not the Book Store)- Mexican Army Violating US Borders
There are over 300 reports of Mexican army incursions into the United States
Borders define a thing or place, setting it apart from other things or places. Whether we’re discussing property lines between neighbors, whether defined by walls, fences or nature (rivers, canyons, etc.), at the very least borders establish separations. Unfortunately, as ‘X’ usually does NOT mark the spot, and for countries, borders are NOT painted lines in the sand.  Not even the ‘red lines’ President Obama continues to move.  Mexico apparently does not respect the borders of the United States.
Mexican incursions
The Mexican Army patrols the border south of Arizona for drug smuggling interdiction.  US Border Patrol secures the US side, or so they thought. But in January, Mexican Army soldiers crossed the border, even drawing their weapons on a US Border Patrol agent. In March, Tucson’s Javier Jose Rodriguez was visiting family in Sasabe, Mexico, when he was shot by Mexican soldiers returning to the US. Rodriguez spent three weeks in the University of Arizona Medical Center racing up more than $43,000.00 in medical bills.
These latest incidents involve Mexican soldiers from a post just south of the Arizona border. In January a lone Border Patrol agent found 2 Mexican soldiers 50 yards inside the US. Weapons were drawn, fortunately no shots were fired. Senator Tom Coburn (OK-R) ordered Homeland Security to provide answers to this incident by February. Neither Senator Coburn nor Homeland Security have released a response.
Didn’t Congress approve building a fence?
In 2005, the Bush Administration announced the Secure Border Initiative (SBI). To secure the 2000 mile US/Mexico border is NOT an easy task. The multi-year, multi-billion dollar program includes electronic surveillance, radar, motion detectors, sensors and yes, a fence. But the proposed ‘Great Wall of Mexico’, is more digital than physical. In 2008, Congress required DHS to complete at least 370 miles of fence or physical barrier before 2009, and 670 miles before 2010. By February, 2010, 651 miles of vehicle barriers and pedestrian fencing was completed.
In Border Insecurity, author Sylvia Longmire, looks at the difficulties regularly encountered by Border Patrol and Homeland Security agents. In the last 18 years there are at least 300 reported incidents of Mexican Army incursions on to US soil. Texas and Arizona borders are breached most often.
The United States and Mexico have a long history of border disputes. When Texas declared itself an independent state and established the Rio Grande River as the southern border.  Mexico recognized the Neuces River border.  Through their actions, Mexico continues to display a lack of respect for established US/Mexico borders.
Many times throughout history border disputes have led to international tensions, sometimes war. For centuries Germany and France had border disputes. In an attempt to secure its border, France built the Maginot line, a system of underground fortified positions to repel a German invasion. Named for Defense Minister Andre Maginot, it didn’t quite live up to expectations.
To say Israel has border disputes is an understatement of epic proportions. There are the ongoing issues between Ukraine and Russia. North Korea and Korea are again dealing with border skirmishes. Taiwan and China have been in dispute for decades. Any of the above examples could erupt into armed conflict overnight. Only through mutual respect for each neighboring nation are tensions kept to a manageable level.
The United States Must Send a Signal
National borders are NOT marked in the sand, but even invisible, borders require respect. It is incumbent upon each nation to respect their neighbor’s borders, just as it is necessary for each nation to enforce and secure their borders.
The Obama administration MUST send a clear and forceful signal to the Mexican government that armed incursions by Mexican Army soldiers will NOT be tolerated for any reason.  President Obama must demand Mexico respect our borders.

New Post has been published on http://misguidedchildren.com/foreign-affairs/2014/05/two-republicans-comment-on-benghazi-oversight-committee/20229
Two Republicans comment on Benghazi Oversight Committee
Plenty of politicians are commenting on Benghazi. Two of the people that have not been heard much in this is Representative Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) and Representative Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI). Both have been part of the committees questioning people on this issue.
Cynthia Lummis on Benghazi
Our investigation of the terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, and the murder of Ambassador Stevens and three other Americans, continues to yield deeply troubling results.
This week, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee heard testimony from retired U.S. Air Force Brigadier General Robert Lovell, the then-Deputy Intelligence Director at U.S. Africa Command who worked with the intelligence unit monitoring the Benghazi attack, about the fateful events of September 11, 2012.
When I asked him during the hearing who made the decision not to respond to the attack in Benghazi, he said the following:
“From my perspective it appeared that it was up-channel, beyond the Department of Defense (DOD) somewhere outside of DOD. We respond to civilian leadership and that’s what we would be looking for: civilian leadership.”
This comes after the release of White House emails indicating a White House aide helped to prep former U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice in her narrative that “these protests are rooted in an Internet video, and not a broader failure of policy,” and “to reinforce the President and Administration’s strength and steadiness in dealing with difficult challenges.”
Jim Sensenbrenner on Benghazi
The separation of powers—reinforced through checks and balances—is a bedrock principle of our political system. It limits overreach by the executive branch and prevents the over-centralization of power. The primary mechanism of the legislative branch to thwart executive branch overreach is congressional oversight.
Effective oversight, however, requires truthful testimony from executive branch officials. On March 12, 2013, during a Senate Select Committee on Intelligence panel, Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) asked Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, “Does the N.S.A. collect any type of data at all on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans?” Director Clapper answered “No, Sir.”  Wyden pressed, “It does not?”  Clapper replied, “There are cases where they could inadvertently perhaps collect, but not wittingly.”
Declassified documents reveal that Director Clapper’s testimony was false, and further, that he knew it was false when offering it. Congress is currently considering proposals regarding intelligence gathering reform. In considering these proposals, we need assurances that Congress can adequately conduct oversight following new legislation.
Once again, the Administration that promised to be the most transparent in history has fallen short. It has hidden monumental Fourth Amendment abuses behind the veil of national security. During a House Judiciary Committee hearing on April 8, 2014, I questioned Attorney General Eric Holder about Clapper’s untruthful testimony:
Although the Attorney General was evasive, I am committed to pursuing the truth. If Congressional oversight depends on truthful testimony, government officials cannot be permitted to lie with impunity.

Stranger Saves Purse Snatch Victim… There is Hope for the Human Race
Houston- A young mother out shopping with her 2 children was assaulted after leaving a shopping center, thankfully, there was an armed stranger there to come to her rescue.
Here’s how it happened:
As the young mother was leaving the Family Dollar store in the 3400 block of Orlando Avenue in northeast Houston, a female opened a car door next her, the woman grabbed her purse and pulled it into the car as the driver threw the car in reverse. The young mother refused to give up so easily and held on to her purse for dear life as she was dragged into the middle of the parking lot.
Out of nowhere a man appeared with a pistol drawn and forced the car to stop. He then made the two occupants of the vehicle exit and lay face down on the ground until the police arrived.
2nd Amendment  Win
The male and female suspects, identified as 34-year-old Shamarion Diana Brooks and 48-year-old Jesse Leroy Grace were arrested by the Houston Police Department. Brooks was charged with felony possession of an unlawful substance and robbery by threat, while Grace saw felony charges of unauthorized use of motor vehicle and robbery by threat.
Police department spokesman John Cannon said that “the citizen did what he thought was right at the time. In some instances, witnesses do that and other times they play it safer and just get good descriptions.” The police department does not endorse one action over another.
Texas is known to be a 2nd Amendment friendly state, and this just goes to prove why we still need our gun rights, had this happened somewhere else, like Connecticut, this young mother would be without her purse today.
After the incident, our hero of this story who’s name was never released, then bought the mother’s two children some candy and drove away. And our would-be victim says that she is shaken by the whole ordeal, but is grateful for the good Samaritan and his right to bear arms.

Target CEO steps down due to data breach
Target CEO Gregg Steinhafel has announced today that he is stepping down from his positions as Chairman of Target’s Board of Directors, president and CEO effective immediately, because of the data breach that hit the company last fall.
Target CEO Steps Down | Fox Business http://t.co/04cWkdqNfo via @foxbusiness
It’s so hard to say goodbye.
Steinhafel made the announcement earlier this morning citing that he felt responsible for the data breach.  According to Target’s corporate site, Steinhafel has been with the company for 25 years, and has been CEO since 2008.
Presently, John Mulligan, the company’s chief financial officer will act as interim president and CEO, and Roxanne S. Austin, a board member has been appointed interim non-executive chair of the board.  Both of these people will hold their positions until permanent replacements can be found.
Target will be utilizing the services of the consulting firm, Korn Ferry to advise the board as they seek replacements. It is safe to say that Target is working over time to fix this mess.  So is Steinhafel responsible for the data breach?  That is a gray area.  While this author believes that Steinhafel is not directly responsible for the breach, it did happen on his watch.  As CEO he is the one who will receive the blame.
The Target data breach resulted in 40 million credit and debit cards being compromised between November 27, and December 15, 2013.
On March 28, 2014, a lawsuit was filed against the Target Corporation, as well as the firm used to handle the company’s cyber security Trustwave Holdings Inc. in Chicago federal court.  Given the severity of the situation, Target will have to take extraordinary steps to regain the faith and trust of the general public.  Steinhafel stepping down is the first step, and Target is also implementing a few other measures to prevent this from happening again.
Pretty challenging task for Bob de Rodes Target Names New CIO – http://t.co/7Kenq77rN3
The new kid on the block.
Aside from losing its top executive, the Target Corporation welcomed Bob DeRodes to its family.  DeRodes will be taking over as executive vice president and chief information officer on today.  In short, DeRodes will be handling the company’s information technology division.  He will be the one who will revamp Target’s data security enhancement efforts, and develop the company’s long-term technology and digital road map.
It means that he is going to clean up the mess and make sure it never happens again.  Can he do it?  DeRodes has an extensive background in data security.  He has been a senior information technology adviser for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Department of Justice.  DeRodes has also held similar positions for companies like USAA Federal Savings Bank, Home Depot and Delta Airlines.  So it seems that DeRodes is more than qualified to handle Target’s mess.  Target is also planning on revamping their REDcards by adding chip-and-PIN technology to their credit and debit cards.
The mark of the retailer.
For those who are unfamiliar with chip-and-PIN technology, it is where a microchip containing information on the customer is inserted into the card.  It is more commonly known as Smart Card technology, or “Mark of the Beast” technology.  According to Target’s site, the company plans to roll out the new payment terminals with chip-and-PIN technology by September, and the subsequent REDcards by early next year.
Apparently Target has been looking into this technology for sometime according to interim president and CEO John Mulligan.  The technology itself has been in use for years, primarily in military ID cards for U.S. servicemen.  While this author is not a fan of this technology, he does hope that something good comes out of this.
Final thoughts.
The target data breach has been classified by some as the worst data breach to date.  There have been others, however this one was the most widely publicized.  For now, Target is still in clean-up mode, trying to win back the trust of the public.  The reality is that for all of this company’s harping about “superior guest service,” they put profits above people.  Now they have to pay for it.  Target’s now former CEO Gregg Steinhafel started by stepping down because of the data breach, and the rest of the company is continuing with (hopefully) better ways of managing their guests’ information.

Here's your chance to support USMC & get Represented in Washington!
We are past the point of no return; thus we must move forward with an effort to save our nation. There is no other choice. We are asking you who have resources, national voices, email lists, blogs, FB, Twitter, to call for a non-violent American Spring May 16, 2014 in Washington D.C. We must appeal to ten million and more American patriots to come and stay in Washington, D.C. to stop the White House and Congress from total destruction of the United States. It’s now or never. God help us.
We are asking for donations to help get several USMC Admins up to Washington for American Spring. Just click the Paypal button within this article. Donate whatever you can. We understand many people can’t go themselves due to work, lack of money to do so, family, health issues, etc. However, what you CAN do is donate a little to help us get there to represent you and all our fellow Patriots. Our elected officials there do not represent you, but WE will. We would much rather see thousands of our followers there, but if you can’t make it, let us represent you!
———————– FUNDS USAGE – What will your donations go towards? ———————– As you can imagine, getting as many people as possible there is not easy or cheap. We’re going to put this in bulleted format for easy reading.
Transportation, Car Rentals, Fuel, etc
Food, Bottled water, ice, etc
Signs – lots and lots of double-sided signs to hand out with our messages.
Additional transportation such as train from where we are staying to D.C. so we don’t have to fight traffic or pay for over-priced parking.
Extended batteries and/or solar chargers for cell phones (constant live video streaming sucks juice fast), standard batteries cant last. We hope to have you live viewing everything we see and do.
Any permit fees, although we feel the Constitution is permit enough
Camping Gear – we may end up not having enough gear for everyone that shows up since we don’t have exact numbers.
Date of Operation: “OPERATION AMERICAN SPRING – Beginning Of Tyranny Housecleaning, May 16, 2014, completion to be determined
Donate to USMC So we can represent you
The law of nature rules. A fluffy, cuddly lamb that gets eaten by a mean old wolf is not an illegal or immoral event…it is the law of nature. When some greedy, self-serving occupant of the White House or Congress, or elements outside America, threaten our existence, our freedom, our liberty, our Constitution, our life resources, our America, then we must fight back to destroy the threat. There is nothing immoral or illegal about it. When the government becomes lawless, then “we the people” no longer are obligated to follow the government. There is no law when government picks and chooses what it will obey for political purposes or personal agenda. At this time, the government is performing as a lawless entity.
A duck cannot be turned into a fox; an elephant cannot be turned into a flea; the laws of nature will not permit it. Likewise, a nation ordained and principled by the laws of nature, sovereign, free, with liberty for all, cannot naturally become a nation guided by royalty, decrees, tyranny, elitist, self-serving criminals. The former has proven desirable, the latter has proven human pain.
“We can become a nation guided by royalty IF “we the people” beguiled by the government in surrender to our lusts for that which we have not earned –for what is not natural –if we have become intoxicated by unbroken success. We can very easily heap to ourselves leaders, and with itching ears, be turned from the Truth to become enslaved by the LIE.” Abraham Lincoln, March 30, 1863 in a call to fasting, humiliation, and prayer.
The United States of America, while embracing the “LIE,” is teetering on the abyss of becoming an undesirable nation.
OPERATION AMERICAN SPRING will be a gigantic step toward  removing the infestation that is sucking the life’s blood of America.
We see no reasonable, hopeful sign that indicates there are honorable, loyal, mature, critical thinking, experienced people in government that understand the chaos about to rain down on America, nor do they care. Our only hope is that “we the people” call, organize, and draw a few million patriots to stay in D.C. for an “American Spring.”
It would be the catalyst to draw the line and bring to a conclusion a decision on the out of control government, one way or the other. America will rise up or surrender. For me, I only go to my knees in the presence of God Almighty… my knees will not touch the surface as a result of some foolish occupant of the White House or a corrupt legislator, or outside element…I will go to my death standing if necessary.
Repeat- We are asking for donations to help get several USMC Admins up to Washington for American Spring.
Donate to USMC So we can represent you
There is not much time and the only planning necessary is to select a starting date, which we have done, and then show up in Washington, D.C. on that date, and plan to stay for the duration. The goal is restoring the US Constitution as the law of the land, removing the lawless leadership. Will this be a cake-walk? No, it will be painful, and some people may die because the government may not be non-violent; some of us will end up in a cell, and some may be injured. If that’s what it will take to save our nation, do we have any choice?
Freedom loving Americans will say there is no choice, we must begin the second American Revolution. Not with guns, but with millions of Americans demanding a return to constitutional government and the resignation of Obama, Biden, Reid, McConnell, Boehner, Pelosi, and Holder as a start…then the constitutional restoration process can begin. An AMERICAN SPRING can be avoided only if the above mentioned officials resign.
Will our national patriot leaders step forward and declare, “send me”, I’ll lead? There are millions of veterans and patriots ready to follow and have said “I will go”.
I urge all organizations, groups, particularly veterans and military retirees begin planning to visit Washington, D.C beginning May 16, 2014.
Please bathe this effort in prayer as there is no personal agenda or gain save liberty, freedom, and restoration of constitutional government for “we the people.”

Americans caught between US and Russia
Misguided Children has been covering Uranium One and how it is owned by Russia. Today, the person in charge of American operations spoke with this news agency. She was gracious, informative and showed concern over the current situation.
Donna Wichers on concern over Russia
One point that was made clear when talking with Donna Wichers, is that she stated that none of the uranium mined in the United States goes to Russia. The uranium goes to fill orders here in the United States and Japan.
When asked about possible sanctions that could be coming, Mrs. Wichers was hopeful if it did happen, that they could get an exception. She said that such sanctions, because of their ties to Russia, could cut electricity, stop shipment of vital materials and generally hurt the companies that buy their production.
Also, when asked about her personal donations to candidates, Mrs. Wichers said she chose people who she thought personally should be in office. She is a personal friend with US Representative Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) and has a lot of respect for what US Representative Joe Barton (R-TX) has done for the uranium miners. She said that the people involved with Uranium One here in the United States, that she knows, usually choses those reasons to donate to political candidates.
Misguided Children would like to thank Donna Wichers for allowing the interview.
The issue with sanctions against Russia
One of the points of wanting the interview was to show the impact of the schizophrenic policy that President Obama’s foreign policy with Russia has on working Americans. The miners and staff of Uranium One here in America are having to watch matters closely because of this. These people needed a job and because of the economy, they can’t just pick up and leave. This is a human face to the incompetence of this administration. All the tough talk and no real way to enforce it. This is why America could not hurt Russia with this President.
A recent interview, via Reuters, with Ian Telfer shows just how useless the sanctions are.
U.S. sanctions could stop U.S. power utilities from buying Russian-controlled uranium from Kazakhstan, where Uranium One owns mines, but such a move appears a remote possibility as it would hurt U.S. companies that need it, Ian Telfer, nonexecutive chairman of Uranium One, told Reuters in an interview. He added that he does not know what Washington is considering.
“Like everyone else, we’re just taking a look at this,” he said in Toronto. “So far to my knowledge there has been no indication that U.S. sanctions are going to impact the uranium from Kazakhstan, so we’ll just have to wait and see.”
“Uranium is a little bit like oil – if you stop a country from importing Venezuelan oil, then (Venezuela) will sell it to someone else. The supply system will get messed up for awhile but people would figure it out.
“… The uranium would get moved around to whoever needs it, I think.”
Uranium One has had no discussions about the impact of sanctions with the U.S. or Canadian governments, he said.
It would seem that Barack Obama has no real ability, especially as his administration is the reason that these people at Uranium One are employed by Russia.

While being a school principal can be tough, sometimes they need to leave the school to take care of their needs. Annie Schmutz Seifullah decided that having sex with a parent, a school guard and the assistant principal in the school was a good thing to do.
The school principal
The principal, 35-year-old Annie Schmutz Seifullah, was the head administrator for grades 7-12 at the Robert Wagner Secondary School of Arts and Technology in Long Island City, a neighborhood of Queens. She is being accused of sleeping with a guard, an assistant principal and a parent on campus while classes were in session, and leaving incriminating photos of the trysts on department computer. One good part is, she only messed with guys that were adult.
Via the Daily Mail, here is some of the response about this school principal.
Detectives investigating the allegations seized computers and other electronics from her office and home, which, according to the New york Post, contained pictures of her wearing only lingerie and engaging in various sex acts including a threesome.
‘We are appalled by these disturbing allegations and acted swiftly to remove the principal while the matter is under investigation,’ a Department of Education spokesman told the Post.
‘This type of alleged behavior is completely unacceptable for any DOE employee.’
School principal gets recorded
Here is some of the investigation, via the same Daily Mail article.
The unidentified dad also gave investigators a video and audio tape in which Seifullah allegedly confesses to engaging in oral sex with an NYPD school-safety agent in the school security office.
She also admits to getting frisky with an assistant principal in a book-storage room during school hours, while he was visiting from another school.
‘I don’t know what I was thinking. I don’t know why I thought it was OK,’ she tells the angry father in the tape, after he accuses her of cheating.
‘You gave him [expletive] while my child was in the building,’ he yells in the recording, according to the Post.
It would beg the question on how well the school principal ran the school, since she seemed to be bored.

Obama hand-picks crony to be U.S. ambassador to Seoul
Another Obama crony has been rewarded for his loyalty to the state this past week, when the president announced that Mark Lippert is to be named the U.S. Ambassador to Seoul.
President Obama to nominate longtime foreign policy aide Mark Lippert as U.S. ambassador to South Korea #GovCon http://t.co/qk9PrnvcaN
All about Mark.
Okay, so everyone knows that Lippert is not only an Obama crony, but one that goes back to the president’s days as a U.S. Senator for Illinois.  This makes him a Senior Crony.  Now that may be all that the president looks at when selecting his staff, but fortunately there is more to this guy than just having the right friends.  Mark Lippert is a Navy veteran who has specialized training in the Intelligence field.  In fact Lippert was a part of Operation Neptune-Spear which resulted in the death of Osama bin Laden.  Lippert also served as an Intelligence Officer for the Navy SEALs from August of 2007 until June of 2008.  So as far as Intelligence goes, Lippert seems to know what he is doing.  As for foreign policy, he does have a lock on that too.  Lippert made his bones in the Crony Cabinet by serving as Obama’s foreign policy adviser from 2005-2008, where he handled a lot of Obama’s affairs on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.  After Obama was elected to the presidency, Lippert became his Chief of Staff for the National Security Council, as well as Deputy Assistant to Obama himself.  Presently, Lippert serves as Chief of Staff to Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, so when one glances at Mark Lippert on paper, he does look appealing.  However, an Obama crony is much like a used car.  They both look good, but there is usually something wrong under the hood.
He said. He said.
While Mark Lippert may be a shining star in the Obama Administration, there is one presumed skeleton in this man’s closet by the name of Retired General Jim Jones.  Jones was Obama’s National Security Adviser in 2009.  Some may remember that and others may not.  What the administration has worked hard to keep quiet is that Jones and Lippert did not get along all that well.  The tipping point came in October of 2009, when Lippert resigned his position to return to active duty.  This was the reason that was flaunted all around Washington, as well as the mainstream media.  However there were whispers around Washington that Jones was irate with Lippert, because the latter may have leaked information to Bob Woodward for his book called Obama’s Wars.  This is not something that has ever been substantiated, however if true, it is scary to think what information that Lippert may have access to in Seoul.
  Hurry up and wait.
While Lippert may have the president’s blessing, he still has to be confirmed by the Senate.  The problem is that there is a backlog of confirmations for ambassadors since the elimination of the filibuster for executive appointments by the Democratic Leadership has forced the Republicans to slow the confirmation process down to a snail’s pace.  So as Lippert waits, the nation can wonder at what it will get when this Obama crony becomes the U.S. Ambassador to Seoul.

Breaking - Shooting at Good Samaritan VA Hospital in Ohio
Lockdown at Dayton VA Center in Ohio
Dayton, Ohio –  Neil Moore, a 30 year retired employee of  Good Samaritan VA Hospital at the Dayton VA Center in Ohio, has reportedly shot another employee, Paul Burnside, in the ankle as he struggled with Moore over a  gun. The suspect is currently in custody.
The victim’s injuries were  not considered “life-threatening” according to preliminary reports, but was being treated at the Emergency Room.
Hospital security placed Moore  in custody at the VA, and then transferred him to Dayton police custody. He was transported to Montgomery County Jail. The black male was wearing a jacket with a United States Marine Corps emblem on it. According to police, Mr. Moore was at the hospital seeking psychological treatment.
WDTN News reported, “When the shooting happened shortly after noon, medics responded and staged in the area at 4100 W. Third St. while buildings at the center were evacuated and others locked down…  Police continue to secure VA campus buildings.”
The shooter is said to be a resident of Dayton. According to the local Fox news station, “A tow truck operator was seen a few minutes ago loading up what is suspected to be the shooting suspect’s vehicle he used to drive himself to his sister’s Dayton home. She then reportedly drove him to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was taken into custody.” The vehicle was described as a 2008 GMC Silverado pickup truck.
Dayton and Montgomery County SWAT teams were deployed to the area, and an immediate lockdown ensued. All civilians were evacuated from the buildings as teams combed the VA campus. All medical appointments were canceled, even though the area where the shooting occurred was a break room area. Persons already at the hospital were continuing to be treated.
“We don’t have reason to suspect there are more shooters, but we want to be safe rather than sorry.” Spokesman Ted Froats
According to all news reports, the  suspect was armed with a “revolver.” Police units were dispatched to the suspect’s home on  Shadowbrook Drive in Trotwood, Ohio, a suburb of Dayton.

Climate Change - An Excuse to Destroy Americans' Rights and Freedoms
How much longer will farms exist?
Climate Change: a priority of this administration. It’s  why Maryland and all the other states are undergoing such extreme pushes by the governments- state and federal- on environmental issues. In the socialist world of the current White House administration, “Climate Change” is listed as one of their priorities (in addition to gun control).
Based upon spurious science and scare tactics, the President issued an Executive Order back on November 1, 2013 that basically put all waterways, land…even the ocean, under Federal jurisdiction.  The order demands changes be made to “prepare” America for climate change. It was the worst power grab in the history of the United States…and it was not reported by the mainstream media. USMC reported it back in January, but in light of recent events across the nation and Maryland in particular, it deserves a second look.
Part II – Background
In this Part II of the series regarding Maryland’s woes with both the federal and state governments, this article will give you some background as to how and why this is happening, and note that it has been encroaching upon us for some years now. “Endangered species” are but  one small portion of the reasons for federal overreach. Rather than a balanced, cooperative effort, the government has seen it as an excuse to move with heavy-handed intimidation to any group or even community that does not lock-step move with it.
The EPA was created as a regulatory agency, meant to assist communities and states to clean up polluted areas. It was not created with Congressional approval, but it now has wide-ranging powers to demand that companies comply with their agendas. While some of the original intent was good, it has grown into a powerful arm of the federal government. The BLM, as we have recently seen, has employed unbelievable methods to take lands and property from American citizens.
Executive Order November 1, 2013
“Sec. 3 Managing Lands and Waters for Climate Preparedness and Resilience. Within 9 months of the date of this order and in coordination with the efforts described in section 2 of this order, the heads of the Departments of Defense, the Interior, and Agriculture, the Environmental Protection Agency, NOAA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Army Corps of Engineers, and other agencies as recommended by the Council established in section 6 of this order shall work with the Chair of CEQ and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to complete an inventory and assessment of proposed and completed changes to their land- and water-related policies, programs, and regulations necessary to make the Nation’s watersheds, natural resources, and ecosystems, and the communities and economies that depend on them, more resilient in the face of a changing climate. Further, recognizing the many benefits the Nation’s natural infrastructure provides, agencies shall, where possible, focus on program and policy adjustments that promote the dual goals of greater climate resilience and carbon sequestration, or other reductions to the sources of climate change. The assessment shall include a timeline and plan for making changes to policies, programs, and regulations…”
The agencies involved
The Bureau of Reclamation, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), National Oceanographic  and Atmospheric Administration, (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), US Forest Service (USFS), Bureau of Land Management (BLM) US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), and numerous other alphabet soup agencies are all involved in everything from air quality, to enforcing the Endangered Species Act, to the the use of irrigation water, to watching out whether a farmer has bug problems and needs to use a pesticide to save his crops. And that’s if the BLM hasn’t already stolen his land and property. And under the executive order, every state is required to report to the federal government on what they plan to change to make all that happen. Extreme pressure and intimidation is the name of the game.
“Climate change” has been the biggest power grab committed by the President and his various cronies in the history of the United States. It is the bottom line excuse for  unjustifiable federal overreach perpetuated by socialists ant the radical environmentalists who have armed themselves with militaristic goons that want to destroy the freedoms of the people of the United States.
“The term ‘climate change’ is meaningless…There is no reproducible scientific evidence CO2 has significantly increased in the last 100 years… Anecdotal evidence doesn’t mean anything in science, it’s not significant.” Professor Les Woodcock, Former NASA Scientist and Emeritus  Professor of Chemical Thermodynamics at the University of Manchester

Buck McKeon responds to military pay cuts in NDAA 2015
Buck McKeon, Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, released what that committee is going to work on with the NDAA 2015. He had hard words for the issue with pay and benefits that Obama wants to cut. This is an important issue for all the military.
Buck McKeon remarks about NDAA 2015 cuts
Here, via the HASC pdf, is what Buck McKeon plans to change in Obama’s NDAA 2015 proposals on pay and benefits.
Chairman McKeon’s proposal provides our warfighters and their families with the care and support they need, deserve, and have earned, while continuing the Committee’s longstanding efforts to end sexual assault within the military. The proposal also rebukes the President for his efforts to increase out of pocket costs for military families.
Military Compensation Commission and the President’s Proposed Benefit Cuts:
In his FY12 budget proposal, the President made cuts to TRICARE and spent the savings on other programs. In the FY12 NDAA, the Committee fully restored those cuts through reforms to other programs and admonished the President not to take similar action in the future. In his FY13 budget request, once again, the President proposed compensation cuts and spent the savings in other areas. In the FY13 NDAA the Committee restored half of the funding, and required the President to find other sources for the remaining funds. The FY13 NDAA also established a military compensation commission to examine a range of reforms and report back to Congress. Members in both parties have consistently stated that they are unwilling to make piecemeal compensation reforms, nor are they willing to make reforms until the commission provides its report to the committee.
Again in FY14 the President proposed TRICARE cuts and reduced the military’s pay raise from 1.8% to 1%. Once again, Congress rejected the TRICARE cuts and worked to restore the program with other funds.
In the FY15 budget request, the President proposed his most sweeping compensation cuts to date, including TRICARE, Housing Allowances, and Commissary benefits. When combined with a reduction in the annual troop pay increase, these cuts result in thousands of dollars of additional out-of-pocket expenses for military families. Chairman McKeon categorically rejects these cuts. He continues to believe military compensation reform should be addressed comprehensively and should be informed by the recommendations of the commission.
Since the President needs legislative relief to permit his proposed compensation cuts, he remains legally bound to provide established benefits to the military community. The Chairman’s mark does not attempt to offset these programs. In light of Congress’ consistent opposition to premature, ill advised cuts to warfighters’ pay and benefits, Chairman McKeon expects the President to find an alternate solution.
Troop Pay:
Reflecting the input of the Subcommittee on Military Personnel, Chairman McKeon supports current law, which mandates an automatic 1.8% annual increase in troop pay. The President retains his executive authority to make reductions to this pay rate without congressional authorization. The Chairman’s mark does uphold the President’s request, endorsed by senior military leadership, for a pay freeze for General and Flag Officers for FY15.
Here is hoping that Buck McKeon can protect the members of the military.

Michigan Citizens lose Right to Farm
Michigan’s new changes to remove their “Farm Act” protection will have serious consequences for many urban and suburban backyard farmers, who raise small numbers of animals. The backyard and urban farming was protected by Michigan’s Right to Farm Act, but no longer.
Kim White, who raises chickens and rabbits, said, “They don’t want us little guys feeding ourselves. They want us to go all to the big farms. They want to do away with small farms and I believe that is what’s motivating it.”
Specifically, the new ruling will allow local governments to ban goats, chickens and beehives on any property where there are 13 homes within one eighth mile or a residence within 250 feet of the property. The ruling is not simply an urban or suburban concern.
A six and half acre home to 150 hens, providing eggs to a local co-op and local restaurant will also be affected. Shady Grove Farm, in Gwinn, Michigan also provides wool from sheep, a few turkeys and chicken for meat to provide fresh local poultry, in addition to their 150 laying hens. Randy Buchler told The Blaze about Shady Grove Farm. “Everything we do here is 100 percent natural — we like to say it’s beyond organic. We take a lot of pride and care in what we’re doing here.”
The UN Farming Report in 2010 called for more organic and small-scale farmers in the food systems and an answer to feeding the world.
Chefs are also pushing more local farmers and push for “farm to table”.
Many Americans are attempting to start growing out of their own backyards, providing additional home-grown vegetables, and fresh eggs for their families, as food prices increase. Rosalind Creasy grew in her 100-square foot garden in 2008 was $683.43.
Yet, in a special session, the Michigan Commission of Agriculture and Rural Development removed the Right to Farm projection for their citizens. The vote, 4-1, approved the Site Selection Generally Accepted Agriculture Management Practices (GAAMPs) which included the controversial, “if the site is determined to be primarily residential, and zoning doesn’t allow agriculture as a use by right.”

Gentry Smith, failure of Benghazi, nominated for promotion
Gentry Smith has just been nominated to the role of Director of the Office of Foreign Missions, with the rank of Ambassador during his tenure of service, Department of State. He, since 2009, has been in charge of security at embassies and consulates.
The Gentry Smith nomination
Here, via the White House website, is a short biography for Gentry Smith.
Gentry Smith, a career member of the Foreign Service, class of Minister-Counselor, is Deputy Assistant Secretary and Assistant Director for Countermeasures at the Department of State, a position he has held since 2009.  Previously, Mr. Smith served as Director of the Office of Physical Security Programs.  He has served as the Regional Security Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo, Japan and the U.S. Embassy in Rangoon, Burma.  He served as a Security Officer and Deputy Regional Security Officer during two separate tours at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, Egypt.  Mr. Smith entered service with the Department of State in 1987 and joined the ranks of the Senior Foreign Service in 2006.  Before joining the State Department, he served as a Police Officer with the Raleigh Police Department.  Mr. Smith received a B.A. from North Carolina State University.
What was Gentry Smith in charge of
Here, via the State Department website, is exactly what Gentry Smith was in charge of since 2009.
Gentry Smith became Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) and Assistant Director for Countermeasures on October 26, 2009. He holds the rank of Minister Counselor in the Senior Foreign Service.
As the Countermeasures DAS, Mr. Smith supervises development of the Overseas Security Policy Board security standards and Department of State policies associated with the physical and technical security of U.S. diplomatic missions around the world.
He is responsible for the Office of Security Technology, which assists in providing a safe and secure environment through the application and use of appropriate technical security countermeasures, and the Office of Physical Security Programs, which directs and develops worldwide physical security standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines for protecting personnel, facilities, and national security information.
It seems, yet again, that failure is rewarded by this administration. Gentry Smith will get the appointment, unless Democrats decide that the death of a US Ambassador and three very courageous men is worth something.
