“I asked ChatGPT-“
Yeah? Well I asked this random refurbished SecUnit I found and it told me that Sanctuary Moon was a premium quality TV show, which is weird because it’s MEDIOCRE AT BEST-

there's no such thing as a medicaid freeloader. everyone needs healthcare. it does not matter if you don't believe someone has a valid reason to not be working or in school- they are still a human being and human beings need healthcare. even if someone IS this strawman ""just lazy"" unemployed person, they deserve healthcare. sorry but i do not believe that the right to medical treatment without financial ruin is predicated on someone's "usefulness" to society. it's depressing that this is apparently too radical a belief.

Okay, should not post off the top of my head late at night.
A correction and a couple of afterthought.
St Elizabeth the cousin of Mary is the patron saint of pregnancy, which doesn't exactly seem relevant here, although Biblical. It's St. Elizabeth of Hungary who's the patron of hospitals and charities and such.
Neil's mother is literally named Mary, but so is Nicky's; well, Maria, but it's the same name. Not that either of them are any great examples of maternal care. Also, it's kinda interesting that Nicky's parents are Luther (how Protestant) and Maria (how Catholic).
I know I'm not the first to point it out, but, the K in Jeremy's last name is silent. Said aloud, it sounds like Nox, which is Latin for Night. So we have brooding angsty dark-haired Kevin Day and bleached-blond Captain Sunshine Jeremy Night; we do like our parallels in this series!

Yea, but has anyone also considered--
Matt Boyd -- St. Matthew the Apostle
St Andrew is also an Apostle, and also a patron of, among other things, butchers.
(Side note: "Andrew Minyard" can be read as originating from the Greek for "manly" and either the French "mignard" meaning delicate, or the Germanic "mainard" meaning brave and strong. Opinions differ, I guess.)
Kaitlyn MacKenzie and Catalina Alvarez -- variants of Catherine for St. Catherine the Martyr, patron of girls, students, and torture victims
Betsy Dobson, from St. Elizabeth, cousin of Mary and mother of John the Baptist. Patron of hospitals, homeless people, works of charity.
Nicky for St Nicholas, but also Eric Klose, Klose being a German variant of Nicholas.
St. David --patron of Wales, vegetarians and poets...okay, maybe not.
(Fun speculation: one possible origin for the surname Day is a truncation of Davidson.)
And if we're allowing Old Testament references--
Aaron, brother of Moses the Lawgiver
Jeremy, from Jeremiah, the prophets of Lamentations.
Danielle, feminine of Daniel, the prophet who read the writing on the wall and survived a den of lions
Abigail--third wife of King David. (!) Renowned for beauty, wisdom, and diplomatic ability.
Seth, third son of Adam and Eve. Although I guess this would be an inverse reference; Seth was the one who lived.
And of course, Natalie/Renee. I can't remember if this is explicitly referenced in Canon, but Natalie is derived from the Latin for "birth," in a Christian context the birth of the Lord, while Renee is from the French for "rebirth" or "reborn."
Guys wait has anyone talked about this yet??
Nora named a bunch of her characters after saints and it HURTS. Here are the ones I came up with and found online. (The ones that actually seemed intentional. I doubt she named matt after the patron saint of taxes)
Saint yves of brittany — patron saint of abandoned children
Saint john the apostle — patron saint of love, loyalty, and friendship
Saint kevin of glendalough — patron saint of dublin and ravens
Saint nathanael the apostle — patron saint of butchers
Saints alexander, stephen, and christopher — martyrs
Saint alodia of huesca — a child martyr; possibly patron saint of child abuse victims and martyrs, but I can't get a straight answer
Saint nicholas of myra — patron saint of children; known for his generosity and kindness; brought children back to life
Saint andrew avellino — patron saint against sudden death (this one may be a stretch)
But, like, have there been any discussions about this yet?? Bc I haven't seen any. I've just been letting the yves+kevin ones eat away at my mind, but then I realized a BUNCH of them fit. Pretty please, if this has been talked about before, point me in the direction of those posts🙏 and if you have anything to add, any corrections, or any other saints you think fit(or religious imagery in general. I'm foaming at the mouth thinking about how neil's mom was literally named mary), I would LOVE to talk abt this w someone

Could you maybe reblog this post if you think respecting trans peoples' names and identities is a basic right and not a political opinion?
No pressure. Just seeking some validation of my sentiment. Due to some. people

Ronan Lynch trilogy?!
okay I keep seeing people asking for confirmation that Adam and Ronan are a Thing, that Adam loves Ronan, etc.
I don’t think that Maggie Stiefvater is the author to give us three books of explicit fluff. But anyway, am I the only person to think that Adam-and-Ronan are already canon? That Adam and Ronan are already the most important person in the world for each other? That Adam and Ronan have already said “I love you”?
Of course, it helps to remember that in Lynch-speak, a language with which Adam is perfectly familiar, “I love you” gets translated into “You asshole” somewhere between the brain and the lips.
