#the last breakup was awful and they fully believed it came out of nowhere.#whereas i had spent months with them becoming increasingly awful#but it culminated in them getting a dog directly against me saying please don't without a plan because I'm allergic#AND my apartment doesn't allow dogs (ergo you no longer can move in and we both need to be a dual income household rn)#it also involved doctors giving me pamphlets for dv#and also oh#they were fundamentally incompatible with my wants on kids in terms of culture/religion#and telling them they needed to talk to me was literal rape/consent violation because I would not let them table something important forever#they also hold many grudges over petty things#suffice to say ended very badly

I feel like there's two levels of chronically online. There's like, the variety where you recognize obscure memes and stupid drama and post constantly but have some sort of tether to reality and have friends in the real world and read the news from time to time, and then there's the kind where you genuinely don't realize that your political position or feelings about popular media are not just non-mainstream but actively fringe and that it's not emotional labor to pick people up from the airport.
