Reflection Research
I was thinking for this piece to formulate some kind of image using different trippy reflections of either every day objects or my own body. I am thinking of maybe even including the object taking the image as well. Sort of how we have selfie-culture nowadays.

For this project I attempted to include myself and my shadow as the subject of the piece. I used different lights with colored sharpie tape on different phones to create muted tones reflecting off of mirrors on to the wall. I made use of motion around me and my lights as I stayed still most of the time. I meant for this piece to be contemplative and thoughtful as I look at myself every now and then and have my reflection portrayed through my shadow on the wall.

Light project ideas continued
For this idea I was thinking of using different fabrics and several sources of light to create a form of a draping effect. I was also paying attention to the way certain glass fixtures and windows reflect light in a different way than conventional ones. I was thinking of including these types of glass like objects in my piece

Immersive Environment: Light as Medium in Relation to the Body
IDEAS
For this project I was thinking of using different colored lights to express mood and changing. Like the way that pink or magenta creates a calming atmosphere. I was intending on using my color changing light bulbs and other assortments of color lights to create a colorful, changing atmosphere

Phantom Bodies Final

Phantom bodies
For this project I was looking into my self and how I feel on the inside. Day in and day out, being unable to get out of bed. Succumbing to depressive thoughts and the doom of forced isolation because of the pandemic we are all experiencing. i think this piece speaks a lot about the human condition and how I personally live with my bipolar disorder.

Phantom Bodies Reflection
For this piece I was looking in to the feelings I felt as I was younger and going through puberty and how I always had issues with my body and its image. Like the way I would look in the mirror and look at myself in different positions and different angles to see if I looked fat or undesirable. This piece shows the progress I went through for self-acceptance and self-love. I attempted to make it delicate in nature with careful positioning of my body as a reflection in the mirror.

hand on sphere
For this idea I was thinking of using my hand in its plaster form and making it hold something reflective or sphere like in nature. I was unsure where to go with it but I think I want to use something interesting as an object held in my hand

hand coming out of earth
For this idea I was thinking about using my plastered hand in an environment where it is emerging from something. Be it dirt or water. I feel like it can speak a lot about man v. nature.

hand coming out of water
For this idea I want to expand upon the idea of man v. nature in the way that my plastered hand emerges from a body of water. I was thinking of using it in the sense that I am creating a reflection of myself

Idea Board 3
For this idea was really thinking about how I could use something as comforting and familiar as a throw blanket in a different context. Not sure where yet but I found it as an interesting option
