My favourite coffee shop in Romsey is “Number 5” on Bell street. One of the coffee shop residents is Monty. He occasionally leaves his nest to browse for spilt crumbs from the excellent cakes but this day I was sitting at the back of the cafe overlooking his nest. I prepared to take the photo and then he gave me such a gaze that I just had to release the shutter. Unfortunately with the subject in a fixed position and my seat too, moving round to find a better composition was not possible. So, I don’t normally do this, I removed a chair leg from the image!
