Tangentially related to my previous post but I was never really invested in “lost media search” internet stuff because I guarantee a solid 80% of the media from this country I saw as a kid is lost media. A jingle could be so popular here that a majority of people could quote it word for word but there’d be zero archives of it online. It’s just the norm for things to be lost media rather than not.

The only reason the Make it Click McDonald’s ad that aired on our stations for I’d say well over a decade and was fully 2D animated is because someone in my discord server asked Reddit if anyone had recordings of it anywhere. I don’t think that advert should’ve been “lost media” to begin with.
