Bandai Namco US Attends 2025 NYC Japan Parade

Announced just a few days ago, Bandai Namco US attended the 2025 NYC Japan Parade and it was a blast! Julie, known as tolovelfromvine was in attendance representing the New York City Tamagotchi Club and she took some awesome pictures!

First and foremost, Bandai Namco US had a float in the parade which was seen around 1:30PM as it traveled from 85th to 67th street. The float itself featured some Tamagotchi graphics, and even the new Mametchi mascot! Did we also mention that Tara Badie, Brand Director, and Asaki Murakami, Assistant Brand Manager were on the float? Two Tamagotchi icons waving to fans throughout New York City!

Then, Bandai Namco US had a booth which featured Tamagotchi graphics, and Bandai was giving out Tamagotchi pamphlets and Tamagotchi stickers to visitors! Not only that, but they could also score a picture with Mametchi!

BANDAI SPIRITS Previews Tamagotchi Mogu Mogu Festival Wasshoi Plushies at The 79th Prize Fair

The 79th Prize Fair is an annual event that Bandai Spirits hosts where they display some of the upcoming prizes that you’ll see later in the year. This included two sets of Tamagotchi Mogu Mogu Festival Wasshoi plushies, which are available in two different sizes. The Mogu Mogu Festival (an onomatopoeia for sound of eating) is a festival in Japan that offers various foods, and musical experiences from around the world!

To celebrate, Bandai Spirits has created these new plushies featuring Mametchi, Gozarutchi, Kuchipatchi, and Mimitch dressed in their festival outfits! There are technically two volumes, and two sizes.

Volume 1 includes Kuchipatchi and Mimitchi that is set to be released the first two weeks of June, 2025, and volume 2 includes Mametchi and Gozarutchi which is set to be released the first two weeks of July, 2025.

There are also miniature keychain sizes plushies, same styles, that will be available the fourth week of July, 2025!

Be sure to look out for them this summer at your local crane game machine at your favorite arcade!

nanoblock Announces Tamagotchi Collection

Your favorite Tamagotchi characters, and device in block form! nanoblock (yes, intentionally lowercase), a Kawada Toys brand of micro-sized (much smaller than Lego) blocks that are super cute and allow for greater detail, are now in Tamagotchi form!

If you attend the “Fun With Tamagotchi” panel at the 2024 New York Comic-Con, then you already saw this as a sneak peek! We weren’t able to post about at that time, but we can now and they look so much cuter in final state!

First are the nano character blocks, which feature Mametchi, Kuchipatchi, Mimitchi, Memetchi, Furawatchi, and Oyajitchi. You’ll receive all the nanoblocks in a little packet, and assemble your character! How cute is Memetchi’s translucent block on her head for her swirly hair strand?

Second are two Tamagotchi shells, featuring the iconic white shell, and the other in the blue clock shell. How cute! They even feature little buttons and a sticker to put on the screen.

No word on pricing yet, but both will be available nationwide in Japan starting July, 2025!

Tamagotchi Original Angel System & Microphone Check Feature Discovered

It’s always fun finding new things on different programming. Now that the Tamagotchi Original Angel is available, the Tamagotchi Wiki discovered something new! The Tamagotchi Original Angel features a system a and microphone check, Now, a system check is nothing new, but a microphone check sure is. This is because the microphone feature is used to detect the tapping of the Tamagotchi for the iconic tapping feature which will call your Tamagotchi back from a stroll, and keep Battchi from stealing candy!

You can enable the system and microphone check by holding down the “B” and “C’ button together while pressing the reset button. You’ll see in the video that the Tamagotchi Wiki then tests the check by tapping the back of the device.

This feature is also available on the original Tamagotchi Angel from 1997.
