Course Post 8: Roof and planes are above your head.
Tumblr media
Those who live by a airport do not live in the best conditions when it comes to peace and quiet. They are affordable for a reason and those with little money often have to live there. They can really complain either. People, realtors to me more correct, will buy an area for the low and build home and or apartments and charge a fortune for it. Those who live there may be low middle class and lower. the politics here is that people are allowed to make houses and a can make a profit from those who will be miserable there. How much will people sacrifice in order to have a roof over their head?

Course Post 7: What we can become...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The cities of the future will need to Be built better withstand the noise pollution l. The cities of today are in fact wonders. We need to start thinking about how to better designs future cities in order to be able to keep up with a growing population. Over the course of the century, cities have been built and buildings have been higher than ever. Many dream of having cities with big buildings and flashing lights I don’t think of what could be the next step in order to help the environment better yet it’s people.

In the Article about future cities, we are to consider the growing population that the world will face in the next ten years. More people will be living in cities and that can lead to major problems. More people are going to be in close proximity with one another and not every one has good cleaning habits. What we need to do now is start planning of how cities will change with an increase of population. More population would require more cars on the road for private and public transportation, more homes for the people moving in, and store for everyday necessities.
What does these few things have in common? They all require money and SPACE. Cities might have to expand or build up. With construction going around for renovations, it will be dangerous for people who walk to get around.  Not to mention that more roads may need to be built or limit the use of cars. There are a lot of variables to take into consideration. One thing to also take into consideration is the noise pollution. Many cites in today’s society have population that do not go to sleep. the light are on all night and there are people outside causing a lot of commotion.
We need to start thinking how our cities may need to adapt in order to withstand pollution and the population. If we dont start now and think green, this all could lead to the downfall of a massive city.

Course Post 5: Question or suffer the consequences.
In Speculative Everything by Anthony Dunne and Fiona Raby, the idea of one should not only provide the a solution to a problem, but to make that idea a slingshot to other possibilities or ideas. Much of the technologies by big corporations solve an issue and wait to develop another solution when the issue rises again. I believe a great example of Dunne and Raby’s belief is the invention of the wheel. When the wheel was invented, it sole purpose was to help make transportation of heavy materials easier. But nowadays, wheel or the concept of the circle does more today than what their inventors have imagined. Wheels turn things. For example, Gears. Gears turn and when it does, it can create power. Ideas like the invention of the wheel has launched the possibilities that we today use. Those who invented the wheel may have solved their issue at hand at the time, but as we study history, the wheel was used in chariots, pulley and levers in wells, disks to be thrown and for cars to drive around.

Moreover,  Anthony Dunne and Fiona Raby asks readers to question everything. Let us be picky for we have the future in ours hand and it is our duty to preserve knowledge and the future for the coming generations. One day, we may find solutions for the world’s most complex dilemmas. if we question everything or be speculative, we can think outside the box for solutions that can pave the way for even more solutions and get others to convey his or her ideas. “Sharing is caring.” These ideas/technologies that we will produce one day should inspire others to branch out more possibilities.

No Money? NO TECH!
Tumblr media
In today’s world, we are so reliant on the technology around us. Technology is in our jobs, in our homes, and the reader of this post is using technology to read this post right now. As time passes by, technology will adapt to our life style. The world is in the palm of our hands and we sometimes forget that. What one doesn’t consider is the fact that who is behind all this power what is helping us in our everyday Much of our technology is in the hand of those who can afford it. life. As easy as it is to get connected to the internet, why doesn't big companies attempt to give this luxury to many countries that are still developing? Many will say that the money, funding or  no return on an investment. i believe there is an investment, helping other people.

Course Post 3: Want the Future? Okay, We’ll give you our Future!
Tumblr media
In Ben Green’s article, he talked about the many great commodities that arise when technology is incorporated within a city. With many great thing that have come our way with technology, some of still not happy with this advancement. Some, if not many, argue that these technological advances is not giving what they need in order to survive in a long term run. Sure 5G may be the next big thing to come in 2020, but will it end hunger or give better health care, if any. with great technological advances come great costs. Instead of making technology that will better the wallets of those who produce it, they should be making technology that in turn help the people. Fund technology that can help clean the environment, such as cleaning the oceans (save the coral reefs) or funding for more recycling campaigns or movement.
Tumblr media
In Meadows article, the vision of a futuristic city to benefit all will come come in the hands of the people. the process is a long one but in turn a city will be built that will generate clean and renewable energy for all. With such a visions, there are those that will want to make a return on their investments. If those with the money call all the shots, they will be presenting something they want rather than what the people want. the future belongs to everyone, however, many wealthy individuals want to make a profit out of it. It is a sad world we live it, but we can always come together. At the end of the day, they cant count their money without clean oxygen.

Tumblr Post 2: Coming Together...
Tumblr media
We should all take notes from Coach Boone. He said, “ If we don't come together right now on this hallowed ground, we too will be destroyed.” I know that this is out of context, but this statement alone can have an impact on the world. Relating to Johnathan Rose video, we only have one Earth unfortunately and we need to make the most of it. However, with many people trying to help the earth, the are some that wish to make a profit out of helping. Many say that food supply, electricity, public transposition is things that the people need. Many of these sources powered my machines and my manual labor, but what most people forget is that the true fuel behind such projects that can help mankind is money and people that want a return on their investments.
Tumblr media
The last picture, though it may be from a well-spirited movie, can haunt our future. Once the earth is destroyed due to our burning of fossil fuels, poor recycling habits, and just by our own greediness, the only thing to look at now is the sky. (If we don’t destroy that either, then we will be looking a cloud of dust like wall-e did.)

Course Post #1 Part 2
This image does in fact show the greatest fears of our generation. However, relating to the social inequality article, some still don’t have this fear yet. Parents may not be able to afford WiFi at home for their kids for a generation that  their school work is based around technology. Moreover, parents may not be able to afford a phone for their kids. We live in generation that is evolving alongside technology. Unfortunately, not everybody has this opportunity yet.

Course Post #1 Part 1
In 2020, Moto will be releasing the 2020 razr that is a flip phone at a glance, but a touch screen phone when opened. This is a good example of the media archaeology article. By taking a product that was success in the early 2000s and making it modern, it will sure grab the attention of many who had a razr in the past (if they don’t get scared of the price tag first).
