I’ll Give You a Bright Light

VenSora art because I haven’t done anything of them in a while. 

The boys are enjoying a private quiet night on the beach entangled in some lightstrings. Because who needs a flashlight when they have each other?

Thought about this due to Daylight Savings Time, and from being tired af.

Soroku scenario where Sora is uber exhausted by time shifts that he’s spending the whole day pretty much TKO’d in bed.

Roxas being bewildered and concerned at the same time that Sora of all people would rather stay in bed. Ensues a lot of comedic efforts in him trying to wake his bf up with no successful results. Roxas tries singing to Sora, which only serves to put him even further to sleep.

Roxas ultimately gives up and decides to cuddle in bed with him instead.

Random Roxas Thought

Headcanon that Roxas holds some contempt towards the number 13 due to it being a reminder of his time in the Organization, and doesn’t help that it’s an unlucky number in most beliefs. 

I’d also be willing to bet that when Ansem the Wack Wise created the digital Twilight Town, he deliberately assigned 13 as Rox’s apartment number. 

But at the same time, no.13 stands for Death in the tarot cards; Death of a period of struggling and the making for new beginnings (Thanks Persona). Which is pretty much what happened with Roxas in his story. 

He had to struggle as a Nobody and had no place to go except for a group who only took him in because he was useful to their scheme. Not only that, he was desperate to find the answers regarding his purpose in his existence, and why he existed. He experienced moments of joy, only for those to be taken away and leaving him with anguish in what seemed to be an endless cycle until he finally received the big change that brought him to a better and happier place.

So while the number 13 may be a source of pain for Roxas, he probably also acknowledges that it’s a part of him and who he is now. He’s free now. Free to move past that rough period and go about his life on his own terms. No more fighting because he’s ordered to. No more fear and no more anger, no more fearing of losing what’s precious to him. 

He had begun to be.

The boys shared a smile before turning back out to admire the sight of the still waking town, feeling content as they soaked up the morning air in the dawn of a new day.

A new day that will bring new adventures.

Random Soroku and Bennefrost Double Date Headcanon (or something)

Sora and Roxas on a double date with Jack and Jamie.

Roxas and Jack get along but will occasionally fall into debates that may or may not escalate, flicking fries at the other or shooting paper straw covers while they argue over some topic.

Jamie: How long do you think they’ll go?

Sora: I’d say until they both pass out, probably.

(With Jack and Roxas)

Roxas: Is that the only argument you got, Ice pick?!!!

Jack: It’s the only argument I NEED, Rucksack!!!
