Otacon totally just has google up on the other monitor whenever he is talking to snake. Like Otacon knows tons of weird nerd shit but theres totally times where Snake is like "hrnnnggg, Otacon, i need to know at what speed this paint i just applied will dry..." and otacon is like "hmm yes snake it will take 3 hours for that specific kind of paint to dry!" and he has like the home depot page or wikihow pulled up or something.

Snake of course would just assume he knew that.
