activities:

starting with the obvious, birdwatching might be a fun thing to do to strengthen your connection with your kin, even if your species doesn't live in your area. put out some birdseed, if you can (though this will also attract squirrels). just be careful what kinds of food you put out so that you don't end up harming the birds (though if it's store-bought birdseed you should be okay)

swingsets. swingsets are wonderful and can feel like you're flying. though depending on your age, you might not feel comfortable going when there's little kids and their parents around. if that's a problem, try going during school hours, or in the early morning. if there are little children around, keep an eye on them so that if they wander near you you don't hit them, and give up your swing if one of them wants a turn (given that playgrounds are usually made for much smaller folks than the average tumblr user, it's only polite)

if your bird-self collects small objects, you can do that too! try sticking to small things, keep your collection organized, and make sure nobody throws it away by accident.

running, I've heard, can be a good substitute for flying. remember to stay hydrated, and if you're running on the streets outside, be very careful of traffic.

things for spacekin individuals

activities:

you've probably already thought of stargazing but i'm putting it on here for the sake of completion. just remember to be safe when going out in the dark.

making paper stars is easy and can be calming if you're stressed out, plus it keeps your hands busy. i've heard that if you make 1000 you can make a wish, though that might just be paper cranes. maybe cranes are for big wishes and stars or for smaller wishes?

just a thought for some of the creatively-inclined galaxykin or planetkin; map out yourself! what stars do you have? what planets do you have? do you hold life? do you have a moon? things like that. do lots of research so you can be as accurate as possible and find out more about space and yourself!

it's time to actually run this blog

after claiming the url and sitting on this blog for a while i've finally discovered what i want to do with it

otherkin resource posts, aimed specifically at certain kintypes. like there would be a birdkin resource post and then a dragonkin resource post and a spacekin resource post and a glitchkin resource post and yeah. stuff like that!

does that make sense? i'd still do the story requests too just. i want to do something with this blog and this is what i've come up with. i'm working on the first post for starkin right now but i'm not posting any until i've got a decent amount done

ok i guess this blog is up and running

this is just a generic otherkin blog. i dont really know what its purpose is. i want it to be a place for otherkin/therian to find resources and comfort mostly. right now im doing otherkin story requests which you can find here

currently the only mod is mod redacted, aka tumblr user redact glxtchkin, and unless things get too tough to deal with im keeping it just me for now
