being a system is having one of your headmates say the wildest shit known to man and just going "WHAT." while turning around to look at nothing

there’s this extremely kind soul of a woman on instagram that makes accessible recipes that don’t require standing, chopping, or a stove and she might just have a permanent place in my heart

The United States government is no longer able to protect us from real hazards because it’s shifting funds to fake hazards. This is a policy choice — and it doesn't have to be this way.

“It doesn’t matter if your skin is brown. It doesn’t matter if you’re white. It doesn’t matter if you’re a veteran or you serve this country. They don’t care. They’re just there to fill a quota.” Those are the words of George Retes, a veteran and U.S. citizen who was detained by federal agents during an ICE raid at a Southern California farm. Despite identifying himself as a citizen multiple times, federal agents pepper sprayed him and dragged him from his vehicle. He was thrown in a cell for three days, where he was not allowed to contact his family or a lawyer. He was forced to remain covered in tear gas and pepper spray, as he was not allowed to shower or change clothes. When he was finally released, agents gave him *no explanation* for why he was arrested and detained. When immigrants don’t receive due process as required by the Constitution, no one does. We are no longer on the path to fascism. Fascism is here. Now more than ever, we must protect each other – especially the most vulnerable among us. Keep speaking out. Keep standing up. Tyranny only wins if we submit to it.

Happy birthday to Lyudmila Pavlichenko (born July 12, 1916), Soviet sniper in World War II, with 309 confirmed kills.
A true role model for today.

i'm not a person with npd, but i'm so tired of stigma around narcissistic personality disorder. people without any psychological title diagnosing their abusive friends with npd, people calling someone 'textbook narcissisist", people calling people who are just toxic assholes "narcissisists". it's fucking sick, stop the fuck doing it. at the same time you say my cluster a personality disorders are the good ones, because they don't cause any harm in your opinion, whereas i'm also afraid talking about things about my szpd that people would find gross or creepy. stop it, people with pd already suffer too much because of their traumas.

No you can’t armchair diagnose everyone you don’t like with narcissistic personality disorder.
You have to be a psychiatrist to diagnose someone with that, you are unqualified and annoying.
Yes you’re being ableist.
And no, I don’t care if you think they fit the criteria. YOU ARE UNQUALIFIED!!!

I hate when ppl say "luckily sociopaths and narcissists are easy to spot" because they really don't know what they're talking abt. Yes, "low functioning" sociopaths and narcissists are easy to spot.
I'm a high functioning sociopath and narcissist and nobody I know irl would ever suspect it (unless they're one of the few that I've already told). Most people I know trust me wholeheartedly and spill their crazy secrets and memories to me without a second thought. They think I'm caring and empathetic.
This is because people with high functioning ASPD/NPD are oozing with charisma and are usually social butterflies (at least from my experience). A lot of these people think they're totally easy to spot yet don't realize that they're walking all around them. They wouldn't notice a thing.

btw you don't need empathy to be a good person. empathy isn't "what makes us human".
