After approximately 60 billion years I finished this little comic ehehehe this song is insanely Vash coded & I planned to do the rest of it but I ran out of steam. I might go back to it later at some point we shall see.

Everyone in my friend circle knows I'm a Vashwood shipper but very few know I ship Plantwood and Kniveswood. Like I get it, it makes no sense, whatever---but what if you really think about it?

What if we have an ending where Nicholas DOESN'T die and Vash, Nai and Nicholas all suddenly are traveling together to make sure that no more bandits or whatever other members of some random, trigger happy bandit group cause any trouble. Vash is obiviously there with his now life partner who he is spending his tomorrow's with Nicholas D. Wolfwood and it pisses Nai off to no end.

Of all the people to stay with, why did it have to be a human.

Of all the people to fall for, why did it have to be a human?

They stop by a bar and Vash is haggling for the beds, leaving Nai and Nicholas alone for once. Nai doesn't want to speak to the Punisher, has nothing to say to him really, but he does sneak glances at the man sipping from the rather big pint of beer.

"You humans are always drinking that." Nai speaks up.

"Mmmhm." Nicholas takes another sip.

"Despite it clogging your sense."

"We drink it because of that." the priest meets his eyes and puts it down, "Not just for humans though, your brother really likes it too."

Of course Vash liked it, if it was human made then his brother would probably drool all over it.

"Just like he's drooling all over you." Nai whispers but denies saying anything when Nicholas asks him to repeat himself. Instead of leaving the conversation there, Nicholas instead slides the pint over to Nai on the bar and pats the wood twice.

"Go on, quick sip."

It's a testament to how much Nai has changed that he doesn't immediately shatter the glass because he knows Vash will fix him with another one of his 'I'm not mad, just disappointed' looks. So instead he tries to scoot away.

"Get that away from me."

Nicholas follows and smiles, "Oh go on boss, just a sip. You've been doing a surprisingly good job at this 'no killing humans' thing so you should reward yourself!"

Nai never understood the feeling of dejavu until hearing that, he remembers Rem would always talk about a 'little treat' after a big project. Those were times in which he and Vash would get some extra snacks or extra time in the gardens.

One time, Rem even let him win at chess.

"So if you could treat yourself, what would it be?"

"Cutting your face open."

Nicholas grins, "Thanks but I'll pass. Here, how about this?"

He watches Nicholas pull a brightly colored stick out of his jacket pocket and scoffs.

"A lollipop? Do I look like a human child to you? I'm not--"

The taste is on his tongue before he can think and Nai tries to wrench the treat away but Nicholas's jams it deeper, the sweet, brightly colored sphere no longer resting but pressing down on his tongue. Nai can't keep talking because he has to suck air in and that just makes him suck on the blasted treat--

He calms down when he takes in the taste.

Apple, the lollipop tastes like apple.

"Yeah this flavour is nice. Before Conrad left I made sure to grab a fucking bunch and just shove them in my pocket." he lets go of the stick and reaches into his jacket again to pull out a couple of double dollars to pay for his drink.

"I think your brother has finally made that poor lady cave in and give us one bedroom so--I'm turning in early. Hope you enjoy that, boss."

Nai is left sucking on the treat as Nicholas walks away, putting a hand up as a sign of farewell and leaving him behind with the most confusing feeling that has even taken root in his gut.

A hand on his shoulder makes him jump, turning around to see Vash picking up Nicholas's drink and finishing it in one gulp.

"So he got you with the lollipop trick too, huh?"
