by jacks admitting that it was always evangeline and that he was constantly thinking about her ever since the church, he's fully showing it was never tella. while he was WITH tella and kissing her, he was thinking about eva. throughout all of finale, he had his little fox on his mind. and the fact that he had the nickname “little fox” AFTER the events of finale just prove he was thinking of her.

Like it made sense Evagenline HAD to make the first move. Jacks probably would have never made the first move because he so badly wanted her to live. He wanted to kiss her, but it didn't overpower his need for her to be alive.

"he couldn't even remember what donatella looked like" is SO crazy to me, and is a HUGE love confession. like what do you mean you don't remember your “one true love”??

the one person you wanted to go back in time for, even though you said yourself dealing with time isn't worth it. this girl he's been searching for is right there, yet he chose eva. when he had the stones, he chose eva. his entire pov throughout the series is just a big confession to eva of his love. over everything, he chose her. it just shows how eva had changed his perspective on love and changed him as a person. because of her, he was completely thrown off the 'one true love' course and followed her. CHOSE her.

i fell like most of you didnt like acftl because it was a lighter version. her publisher said the book was too dark for a ya book, but most of us wanted that version. stephanie, thinking it was too dark, tried to let it be not as dark as the other books in the series

and that is my theory of why some of you thought “the book was so different from the others it was off putting”

jacks saying he loves eva = turning back in time for her (THERES IS NOTHING OF EQUAL VALUE TO ME) and almost burning his heart for her sake bc he cant live a life where shes not safe and alive. fates have the urge to chase what they want and jacks chases true love, but when he finally founds true love, he wants to protect her so much he was ready to do ANYTHING to keep her alive (keep her away from his deadly kiss) and loving her so much it was more than his own urges that should surpass everything.

the same jacks, who once said he couldnt care less about what happens between humans. the same jacks from caraval, the villain of his own story, simping and crying bloody tears over his pink princess.

sometimes actions speaks more than words and i think thats beautiful <3
