it’s bonkers how easy it is, just by seeing some of your amazing creativity and talent, to inspire me to want to write/rp here again. i’ve been writing on discord with some friends, and gotten to work on some of my crime / spy / assassin characters for different group rp’s we do —— and basically i gotta get out of here before spy stuff takes over my brain again bc i have a podcast and a novel to continue working on.

Marble turns her head and licks at Arthur’s wrist and arm, tail wagging approvingly at the pets.

          Late night strolls in cities he isn’t very familiar with tends to be a tradition with Jules and Sully. He has a flashlight, and a camera for shots of parks, cities, streets under the darkness of night. Nighttime shots aren’t something that Jules excels at, even after all these years, and he takes the chance to improve whenever he can, and now is no different. He’s talking to Sully, who is a few feet away, barking at some birds or squirrels, about a few of the pictures he’s gotten so far as he peeks through the pictures on his camera. But then Sully’s barking more loudly, and running down the path, so Jules has to go and catch up with the excited dog. “Sorry ‘bout him,” he says, giving a shake of his head as he finally catches up to Sully, who stopped a few feet away from a woman and her dog. “Gets excited about potential friends.” He realizes his flashlight is in her face, and he drops it toward the ground after a moment.

Perion offers a disarming smile, “It’s alright, no harm done.” She is still being careful though, no telling how someone might react here, off the beaten path, fairly late at night. “Hope we didn’t disturb you, seems your boy can tell there’s a friend nearby from pretty far off.” Marble wags her tail pleasantly, but doesn’t approach the other dog.

aftermathed‌:

          Honestly, this trip to the park has mainly been Jack chasing Mila around while she causes trouble, despite his best efforts. It’s just one of those days when the dog is incredibly hyper and excited over essentially everything, and is two seconds away from jumping into Jack’s arms at any given moment. It sure is something— especially when Mila darts away for a ball that Jack certainly didn’t throw. “Hey!” he calls, and jogs after her. “Put that down!” She just stares at him, tail wagging even harder.

Perion laughs at the exchange, getting down on one knee and opening her hand. “Can I have my ball back?” she asks, not really expecting the dog to listen, since she doesn’t know what kind of commands this dog responds to.

fighting for most of his life has meant that this? this is easy. this is just routine. he runs and he fights and surviving is what he does best. and should the day come where his luck runs out, then he’ll accept death with grace. so long as he doesn’t turn into one of those fuckin’ things, of course. he’d rather not become part of the problem that plagues the world as it is. this personality of his, however, can be off-putting enough, and though the reluctance to work together exists, there’s not much he can do but do what he can. and what he can do? it’s fighting.

“ there’s a risk either way, ”  he responds.  “ preferably would like to pick them off quietly this time. you know— less of a mess and all that, yes? ”  over the years, he’s found that doing things quietly benefits them the most, unless going loud is part of a plan. of course, it doesn’t always work out that way.  “ let’s try goin’ around first. might do your leg well to take it a bit slow here, wouldn’t it? ”

The structural integrity of the last building they were clearing had failed and a heavy armoire had crashed through the floor. Surefooted-ness couldn’t always help them, because the Runners certainly weren’t practicing that kind of self restraint. 

“Around first,” she agrees, and does a quick self assessment in terms of her range of motion with her leg and wide injuries. They hurt but she can manage. “Actually sprints and running are probably easier,” she says with a shrug. “It’s the slow slinking around that puts more of a strain on the muscles. But as long as we’re not trying to be Houdini, I’m good to go.”

“It’s a stretch but this should work, trust me.” It’s almost a long shot, but not that much. “My nose is still tender from the fight I had two days ago, if I knock it it’ll bleed again and I can make a scene to get us out of here.” She shrugs. “You wanna put your hair up and wear my jacket or...” As an improvised disguise.

Perion wouldn’t claim to be “good” at sex, she doesn’t think of it as a skill you need to develop. She would however consider the process of learning a partner a skill worth developing, not to make the sex “better” but to make it more fulfilling and pleasureful for both of them. She listens and takes cues well, and while she isn’t clingy, the way she holds onto or touches a partner speaks to the level of trust there is in that exchange. She can have one-night stands, but she can’t get drunk so there’s a level of clarity she maintains in how she’s able to respond and engage with someone.
