Drought in California
In 2011 (1st pic), Oroville lake was crossing under Enterprise Bridge. In 2014 (2nd pic), there’s almost no more drop of water in this area due to increased drought.
Few years ago, Californians decreased their water consumption by 27,3%.
The case of Oroville lake is not the only one in West America, where drought is impacting lots of regions.

Glaciers: proof of climatic change
A few years ago, glaciers were mysterious wonders. Nowadays, they are the reflect of climatic change. 
Christian Aslund, a Swedish photojournalist working with Greenpeace, brought together different pictures of Svalbard glaciers. Some pictures are from the beginning of the century, and other are from 10 years ago. And the difference is gross.

Polluted seas
Each year, between 8 and 12 million plastic wastes are thrown in seas and oceans around the world, and this number could triple now until 2025.
The pollution is mostly present in South Asia, India, China and Nigeria and it is 80% caused by human and terrestrial pollution.
Nowadays, we count 1 million of birds dying because of shallowing plastics, not to mention all the others species.

Polar bears 
This bear could simply be dead because of its age. Nevertheless, lots of them around the world are found in the same critical state because of pollution, lack of food and so on.
This picture has been taken in Svalbard in Norway, where it used to be lots of polar bears some years ago…
Nowadays, female polar bears are thinned, and to weak to give birth, and polar bears are disappearing.

Pixilated animals
Recently, the WWF made a campaign on endangered animals, with 4 pixilated pictures. One with a wolf, one with a panda, one with an eagle and the last one with a gorilla.
The feature of those pictures is that they are made with the exact number of pixels which corresponds to the number of animals of those species still alive.

Kilos of plastic found in a stranded whale in Indonesia. 
115 goblets, 25 plastic bags and 4 plastic bottles have been found in a whale stomach in November.
Unfortunately, this is not an isolated case. On last June another whale has been found dead after swallowing 80 plastic bags, and on last February, 29 kilos of plastic were found in a sperm whale stomach.
Every year, 1,29 millions tons of plastic waste are thrown in seas.

Pollution in Paris
In 2018, pollution rate in Paris broke the record of the worth air quality since 2003. This phenomenon required several measures such as the setting of differentiated circulation.
This pollution is caused by exhaust, industrial smoke, and so on, which are favored by heat during Summer. Moreover, the bad quality of the atmosphere can induce to respiratory diseases.
After a study, one year in Paris is the equivalent of smoking 183 cigarettes.

Between August 2017 and July 2018, Greenpeace has announced that the deforestation In Brazil has grown of almost 14%, which represents 7900 km2 and more than a million of soccer fields. #tenyearschallenge

Turtles have been on earth for 150 million years. They’ve survived to all different climatic crisis through the years. But now, 6 out of 7 turtles’ species are threatened by our actual climatic change.

Dolphins of New-Zealand
150 dolphins died stranded on the beach in New-Zealand. The reasons of this kind of incident can be multiple : it can come from fishing, magnetic perturbation, sound perturbation, or tides.
