Severus I like to compare it to the art of kintsugi.
Literally "repair with gold," it is a restoration technique devised in the late 1400s by Japanese potters to repair ceramic cups.
Broken lines are left visible and highlighted with gold dust.
Severus' fragile soul and his imperfections, in my opinion, are magnificent reflections of most people.
But that very fragility of his needs to be accentuated by making it a strength like Japanese vases.
The cracks in Severus's soul are painful and imperfect but from the wounds one can be reborn to achieve a complete form of inner stability.

Keep smiling through
Just like you always do
'Til the blue skies chase those dark clouds far away
I want some comfort for them
