We ever gonna talk about that Japanese Black Spy?

The only other spy seen working for one of the main two factions in Prohias’ own works. The woman who duped White Spy without using flirtation like Grey Spy does, and the woman who dutifully made sure Black Spy and the politicians he was with knew about White Spy’s plans? All while undercover as a pearl diver?

As I wrote on the Spy vs Spy wiki:

The Japanese Black Spy was a character that appeared in the paperbacks written by Antonio Prohias. She wears a flower-print kimono and underneath wears a black bikini. She wears her hair in the traditional Shimada hairstyle. In the comic, she was disguised as a pearl diver on a boat, when White Spy pointed a gun at her. Not knowing she was a secret agent for the Black Embassy, he forced her to put a small microphone in an oyster, causing a pearl to form around it, so he could replace Black Spy’s pearl pin he was wearing to a top-secret meeting with the bugged one. He paid her for her services and then politely left. During the meeting, she called the diplomats on a television screen, revealing she was a Black Spy and quietly showing them what White Spy had done so White Spy wouldn’t hear her foiling his plans. Black Spy then had a band loudly play into the microphone in the pin, overloading White Spy’s headphones. The fact she was wearing black under her kimono might have been done to intentionally foreshadow the part where she reveals herself to be a black spy.

Seriously, moments like hers make me wish we learned more about the Black and White factions because it’s looking a lot like the two factions might be more than just two bickering countries.

So here he is all barrel chested and what not and the second one is Black annoying the leader about his latest white spy kill. For the 100th time.

Also gotta find better ref pictures of the Black leader.

In both the paperbacks and the magazine comics, Black Spy falls for traps involving food. He also frequently is stealing food from White. And on multiple occasions is lacking food in some way.

Boy. Are you ok?

My goodness!

I just logged into my personal account here and just discovered I have a lot of activity notifications! And all of them came from that one post I made about my findings in my SvS comics where i disscused and showed about how in the earlier comics they have bucked teeth, and one of the blogs that reblogged this was actully the out of context Spy vs Spy blog!

Wow! I did not see that comming! But thank you all so much to those who reblogged and like this! Especially @wolftheidioticfan who was the first to reblog that post! ^ ^

I was kinda feeling in a blue mood yesterday.. So I drew some sad Black Spy. (ft. a lil’ bat doggie in the bottom left corner!)

I discovered something while looking through my Spy vs Spy omnibus book. But in the earlier comics, the spies used to have buck teeth.

That’s actully cute that they used to be drawn with their two front teeth sticking out! ^ ^
