Outer Worlds Prompts

The crew uncovers pictures of Vicar Max in his prime playing tossball. He’s attractive, which is weird, and smiling, which is weirder.

The walls between rooms are way too thin for Felix to play music that loud, or for Ellie to punch walls, or for Max’s late night mumbling. The worst, though, is when Nyoka wakes up screaming.

ADA and SAM are... close. Parvati takes care of SAM. ADA now prioritizes Parvati’s happiness and safety, sometimes even over the Captain.

Felix and ADA get along strangely well.

Felix bothers Ellie and Nyoka about their history as Badasses. When the two women hang out and swap stories, he tends to go starry eyed. Lucky, they find him endearing.

Parvati puts stickers on SAM. The crew notices, and by the end of the week he has notes written on him, doodles, sticky notes...

Parvati takes the crew on a tour of Edgewater, and then her home. Saying they stand out is an understatement.

Max misses meals a lot. When someone started leaving food outside his door, he assumed it was Parvati- until he catches Felix.

If you bring Parvati to the Trash Disposal on the Groundbreaker, she’ll comment, “I was wondering what they do with their waste. I guess they just chuck it down here. Where’s it all go?” If you go down the ladder (or jump) she’ll add, “Uh, how about I stay up top? You know, keep watch. Okay?”

Revolutionary: A… trash… cube.

Rioter: Yeah. Look at him. He just keeps making ‘em.

Revolutionary: You’re fucking weird, Karl!

Rioter: I don’t think he can hear you. He’s in the zone.

Revolutionary: The trash cube zone.

Rioter: You’ve got to admit, they’re convenient. Fit together real nice.

Revolutionary: Trash is trash. I don’t care what shape it’s in.

Rioter: I guess.

Patron 1: So… was Fallbrook all you’d hoped for?

Patron 2: Yes. No. Maybe. It’s no Byzantium. But that’s rather the point, isn’t it?

Patron 2: I slept for the first time in months so I’ll give it that.

The Outer Worlds actually names its NPCs in conversation, even when the player doesn’t see them labeled as such. Two NPCs (each titled ‘Sublight Employee’) have this conversation in Fallbrook:

Whight: Hey, Cass. Knock knock!

Cass: Go away, Whight.

Whight: That’s not how the game works. I say “knock knock” like I’m on the outside of a door. And you say…

Cass: I swear to the Architect I will punch your lamps out.

Whight: Oh, uh… having a rough day?

Cass: I lost a shipment out for delivery. Barely made it out… Marauders got Keeley.

Whight: Oh, Catherine is going to flay the skin from your fingers.

Cass: I know.

Rioter: All’s I’m saying is it ain’t worth it. It’s gonna taste like sulfur all the same.

Revolutionary: Nuh-uh! Pteros got that sweet blood.

Rioter: So? You gotta boil it or you’ll get sick, and then all that sweetness takes to the air anyhow.

Revolutionary: Naw. Don’t boil it. We gonna get sick all the same. Might as well enjoy it.

Rioter: Don’t boil - do you WANT the runs?

Revolutionary: Better than tasting sulfur and dirt every damn day.

I play console so I can’t get the dialogue files from The Outer Worlds, so I’m waiting anxiously for someone to upload them so I can analyze eVERYTHING
