iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max - Apple's new and expected smartphones
New Post has been published on https://outlettec.com/iphone-xs-and-iphone-xs-max/
iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max - Apple's new and expected smartphones
Apple introduced today, September 12, the two successors of the iPhone X. The devices are called iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max and bring a number of small improvements over the original model. According to the brand itself, it is the most advanced smartphone ever launched by the manufacturer.
One more important news is the adoption of the brand new Apple A12 Bionic chip, with considerably better performance than the previous generation chip. The 7nm processor has 6.9 billion transistors with 6 CPU colors (15% faster than the previous generation) and 4 GPU colors (which is 50% faster than the old one), not counting the network engine neural.
  Apple iPhone Xs
Apple iPhone Xs Max
Screen Size 6.1 inches 6.5 inches Screen Type Super AMOLED 120 Hz Super AMOLED 120 Hz Screen Resolution 1125 x 2436 pixels 1242 x 2688 pixels Operating System Version iOS 12 iOS 12 Chipset Apple A12 Bionic Apple A12 Bionic Internal Storage 64GB /256 GB / 512 GB 64GB /256 GB / 512 GB RAM memory 3GB 3GB Memory Card No No Rear camera 12 MP (f/1.8, 1.4 micron) + 12 MP (f/2.4, optical zoom up to 2x) 12 MP (f/1.8, 1.4 micron) + 12 MP (f/2.4, optical zoom up to 2x)
There is dedicated Octa-Core processing of machine learning that analyzes high amounts of data and an intelligent system of energy consumption. It is capable of processing 5 trillion operations per second, according to Apple, and should be widely used in games, Augmented Reality, and monitoring of sports activities.
Enhanced Camera
As for the cameras, the rear set is dual: a 12 MP wide and f1.8 lens and a 12 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. Both feature TrueTone flash and optical image stabilizer. On the front, TrueDepth has a 7 MP that works together with the infrared camera to bring depth to selfies.
The Bionic A12 chip is well integrated with the cameras and helps you “read” the environment and choose the best setting possible.
A new feature is Smart HDR, which captures critical moments the moment you press the shutter button with “interframes” in different exposures so you have a greater detail of brightness, shadow, texture. So, this feature puts everything together in a photo that should be considered the perfect one of that click.
In addition, the camera aperture can be changed after the photo has been taken. You can slide your finger across the screen to blur the background or make it appear. This is possible thanks to this amount of captured frames and the fast processing of the Bionic A12.
Repeated design
The devices are pretty much identical to last year’s model, with the difference in screen size. It features a stainless steel body with a durable glass finish on the front and back which is one of the most durable on the market.
Both models come with a Super Retina OLED display. The edges are the smallest possible and HDR10 and Dolby Vision are supported for multimedia content consumption. As for the screen size, it is 6.1 inches for the iPhone Xs and 6.5 inches for the iPhone Xs Max
And the notch is there. But Apple guarantees that you will have the best that this feature has to offer, with a number of features inserted in the top front of the handset. This includes the infrared camera, the proximity sensor, a speaker, a microphone, the front camera, an ambient light sensor, and even more components.
More innovations
The iPhone Xs battery gives 30 more minutes of battery life than the iPhone X. The Xs Max brings 1 hour and 30 minutes more power compared to last year’s generation. They even bring the long-awaited dual-SIM feature, the ability to use two chips in one device – old order from multiple consumers.
In terms of security, faster algorithms that unlock the device faster and display your notifications almost instantaneously. Face unlocking via Face ID is also smarter and Bluetooth 5.0 is already supported.
DSDS (Dual SIM Dual Standby) makes a line always the primary line of the device when you receive a call, while the eSIM makes the second chip electronic, and installing a second line has no complications.
The pre-sale starts on September 14 and the shipping begins on September 21. The iPhone Xs and the iPhone Xs Max will cost $ 999 and $ 1,099 respectively, in their most basic versions. The color options will be Space Gray, Silver, and Gold.

Bionic eye prototype is made with 3D printer
New Post has been published on https://outlettec.com/bionic-eye-prototype-is-made-with-3d-printer/
Bionic eye prototype is made with 3D printer
Tumblr media
Researchers at the University of Minnesota printed a set of light receivers on a hemispherical surface with a 3D printer. The feat is a step toward the development of bionic eyes for the blind or those with vision problems. Advanced Materials magazine published the paper.
There is significant difficulty in printing electronics on a curved surface. To overcome the problem, the scientists began with a semispherical glass dome. Then they used a custom 3D printer to apply silver-based paint to it. The ink stayed where it waited and dried evenly. This allowed them to use semiconductor polymers to print the photodiodes, responsible for converting light into electrical current. The entire process takes about 1 hour.
According to one of the authors of the project, Professor of Mechanical Engineering Michael McAlpine, the biggest surprise was that they achieved 25% efficiency in converting light into electricity with the device. For him, there is still much to develop the printing of this type of electronic routinely, but the research shows the potential of the 3D printer used by them.
McAlpine and his team have already developed further research uniting 3D printing, electronics, and biology. A few years ago, they produced a bionic ear. From then on, they continued to produce artificial organs for surgical training, an electronic tissue that can serve as a bionic skin, among other devices.
The next step of the research is to create a prototype with more light receptors that is even more efficient. The team also plans to figure out how to print on a surface that can be implanted in a real eye.

iPhone XS, the name of the new Apple smartphones
New Post has been published on https://outlettec.com/iphone-xs-the-name-of-the-new-apple-smartphones/
iPhone XS, the name of the new Apple smartphones
Tumblr media
Apple has already confirmed that it will host a press event on September 12, as rumors have already predicted. Of course, the company did not reveal what it will show on that occasion, but it seems that the Website 9to5Mac managed to spoil the only thing that Apple still had to mysteriously reveal at that event: the name of the new iPhones. According to the site, they will be called “iPhone XS”.
This news publication on Apple explains that of the three new devices that the brand should launch, the two models with an OLED screen will be called “iPhone XS”, both the 5.8″ and 6.5″. In this way, there is the possibility that the company has abandoned the suffix “Plus” to differentiate its devices with larger screens.
The site still leaked the photo you see on the cover of this article, and this is the first official promotional image of the devices to appear on the internet. Note that both the smaller model and the larger model appear in the golden color, variant already known by rumors due to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approval.
The 9to5Mac makes no mention of the iPhone with LCD screen, but the site states that Apple will also launch an Apple Watch Series 4 in that same event on September 12th. The publication also considers the possibility of new iPhones already in stores before the end of September.

Nokia, Ericsson, and Qualcomm - already set how much they will earn for each sold 5G smartphone
New Post has been published on https://outlettec.com/nokia-ericsson-qualcomm-each-sold-5g-smartphone/
Nokia, Ericsson, and Qualcomm - already set how much they will earn for each sold 5G smartphone
Tumblr media
The 5th generation of mobile internet, 5G, is coming and in June some international standards have been set for it to work well all over the world. This brought together industry-leading manufacturers to accelerate the process and, of course, offer what they have best for assembling the infrastructure. In return, companies such as Qualcomm, Huawei, Ericsson, Samsung, and Nokia can charge their licenses from device manufacturers such as Apple and Google.
And the Finnish company has tried to price its essential patents for standardization: the company has warned it will charge 3 euros ($ 3.48) per device that involves its technology. Ericsson also announced its plans, but its values vary according to the price of the device, from US$ 2.50 to US$ 5. Qualcomm thinks of 2,275% of the wholesale cost per product and 3.25% for those with a 5G multimode modem.
Note that these values apply only to smartphones. Other devices, such as those connected through the Internet of Things, do not yet have their table listed by the companies. As Huawei and Samsung have not yet released their values, as well as other manufacturers, the costs of these licenses may still change until the mass arrival of 5G-enabled mobile phones and devices – including iPhones, which are expected to connect with 5G by 2020.

LG says it will be the first to launch a smartphone with 5G
New Post has been published on https://outlettec.com/first-to-launch-a-smartphone-with-5g/
LG says it will be the first to launch a smartphone with 5G
The fifth generation of mobile internet, the 5G, is in full development and the first commercial tests should be done later this year. It will be essential for the development of autonomous vehicles, the Internet of Things, intelligent houses, and cities, among other things that require more speed and power with lower latency. LG and operator Sprint say the first smartphone with this technology is expected to reach the United States in the first half of 2019.
The four largest American providers already have a release schedule, however, these releases are for the time being WiFi connections in the largest cities in the country. Sprint is the fourth-largest carrier and plans to roll out the 5G mobile phone initially in nine cities – Dallas, Atlanta, New York City, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Kansas City, Washington DC, and Phoenix. After the merger with T-Mobile, worth $ 26 billion, 5G gained priority at Sprint and the whole process has been accelerating.
While Sprint and T-Mobile claim they do not have the means to build a nationwide 5G network, combined spectrum and network assets can deliver faster development than AT & T and Verizon rivals. That’s because T-Mobile has long-range 600 MHz waves, while competitors have a mmWave frequency, with a more powerful but more limited radius.
Apart from this information, nothing else is known about price, settings or release date. It is worth mentioning that Motorola said that an accessory for the Moto Z3 should bring a modem to 5G soon and Samsung has also been promising some devices already equipped with support for 5G later this season.

9th gen Intel Core processors expected to arrive in October
New Post has been published on https://outlettec.com/9th-gen-intel-core-processors/
9th gen Intel Core processors expected to arrive in October
While the market is anxiously awaiting the arrival of new Intel processors with 10-nanometer lithography, the manufacturer still has some news to impact the market with its Core line. The 9th generation is expected to arrive on October 1, according to a source at WFCCTech.
An improved 14nm chipset was already expected to power mainstream products, but so far there was no confirmation of its launch. The components must come optimized, with more cores and higher frequency rates. There will be three models unlocked.
The Intel Core i9-9900K should be the first with 8 cores and 16 threads. It comes with clock base at 3.6 GHz (starting at 4.7 GHz of boost speed), 16 MB cache, TDP 95W and suggested price of US$ 450. Already the Intel Core i7-9700K promises 8 cores and 8 threads, with clock base at 3.6 GHz (starting at 4.6 GHz of boost speed), 12 MB cache and TDP 95W, at US$ 350.
The Intel Core i5-9600K would have 6 cores and 6 threads, 3.7 GHz clock (starting at 4.3 GHz of boost speed), 9 MB cache and TDP 95W, estimated at US$ 250.
In a previous leak of company information were also listed four more Intel Core i5 and other Intel Core i3. Below are all expected components, with those previously mentioned in the article likely to be announced in early 2019.
It’s too early to tell whether these specifications will actually run as desired on machines, so it’s necessary to wait for the official confirmations and the first performance appraisals.

And if it is expected that the device has some degree of waterproof.
Motorola One Power
Along with the Moto Z3, Motorola can announce its next Android One device, dubbed Motorola One Power. Sony recently introduced its new IMX586 48MP CMOS sensor designed for future smartphones. The latest leaks now suggest that the Xperia XZ3 could feature the company’s new Quad Bayer CMOS sensor.
As for specifications, rumors reveal that the upcoming Xperia XZ smartphone will feature a 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels.   Xiaomi Mi A2 vs Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite: main differences in display, processor and storage
In terms of design, one of the differences between the Xiaomi Mi A2 and the Mi A2 Lite is obvious at first glance: the Mi A2 Lite has a notch and the Mi A2 does not. As we delve deeper into this, we learn that the Mi A2 has a 5.99 inch IPS LCD screen with 18: 9 resolution and 2160×1080 resolution, while the Mi A2 Lite comes with a 5.84 inch screen with a resolution of 2220×1080.
The Mi A2 is powered by the Snapdragon 660 Octa Core processor (with four Kryo 260 2 GHz cores and four Kryo 260 1.8 GHz cores). Mi A2 Lite sports the Snapdragon 625 with eight A53 cores that accelerate up to 2.0GHz. For games and media, there is the Adreno 512 in the Mi A2 against the Adreno 506 in the Mi A2 Lite.
Another thing worth noting is the headset. Although there is a strong tendency to wipe out the 3.5mm output between the latest generation phones, the trend seems to be recovering also among low-cost smartphones. Thus, the Mi A2 does not have a headset – instead you get the multi-use USB-C port and Bluetooth connectivity. On the other hand, the Mi A2 Lite kept the headset.
Both phones offer some options when it comes to RAM and storage. You can get the Mi A2 from 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM and 32 GB, 64 GB or 128 GB of storage. The Mi A2 Lite is available with 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM in combination with 32 GB or 64 GB of storage.
Below more details of each device.
Xiaomi Mi A2: strong performance at a reasonable cost
As we mentioned above, the Mi A2 comes with a very good screen: you have a 5.99-inch FHD + screen with an 18: 9 ratio. A nice touch to the design is the 2.5D curved glass, which creates a nice soft frame which is easy to handle with one hand.
The processor is the reliable Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 – easily comparable to the latest flagship in terms of energy efficiency and speed.
There is the 3010mAh battery under the hood. You get Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and a USB-C port for fast and efficient communication with other devices. The camera game isn’t bad either: the Mi A2 comes with a primary IMX of 12MP, coupled to a 20MP module with large 2.0um pixels. You also get the selfie 20MP shooter and the famous AI Portrait Mode from Xiaomi.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite: the Mi A1 with a new design
The Mi A2 Lite shares a number of features with its predecessor, the Mi A1. That is, you get the same Snapdragon 625 processor, offering a good balance of performance and energy efficiency. As with the Mi A1, the Mi A2 Lite acquires the Adreno 506 GPU, the version with 4GB of RAM, 12MP back camera and a 5MP front camera.
And there are some significant differences. First, there is a major upgrade in phone design: the front camera has been moved to a notch at the top, which allowed it to expand the screen to 5.8 inches (compared to 5.5 inches in the Mi A1). The larger screen comes with a number of obvious benefits (a better media experience, more immersive games, easier navigation, etc.) and gives the phone a more modern overall look.
The two devices have another difference that we do not quite understand. The Mi A1 came with the USB-C port while the Mi A2 returned to the micro USB – an intriguing choice, but does not take much of the experience.
What are the benefits of Android One?
Android One is a version of Android that is specifically designed to deliver great performance on budget-conscious smartphones. How is it different?
First of all, it’s a basic version of Android – so you do not have a plethora of unnecessary features to handle, which in turn makes your smartphone faster and energy-efficient, even with the limited resources on board. Second, since there is no third-party customization, you’ll enjoy the kind of Android experience that was developed for you by Google, with no changes from other companies. Lastly, since you get your software directly from Google, you can also expect updates in a timely manner, without the inconvenience of delays often faced by inferior devices running on Android.
Xiaomi Mi A2 vs Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite: the verdict
The Xiaomi Mi A2 and the Mi A2 Lite are very decent following for the bestseller Mi A1. With new design and performance specifications, both phones offer interesting features for a budget that Android should be. The price does not disappoint, as you can see on this OFFER PAGE of Xiaomi Mi A2, and this OFFER PAGE of Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite.
