every day i log on and i have to ask myself what show people are watching that they think either ryan or oliver would go along with a story line where ~something happens~ the night of the bachelor party, but buck and eddie don't remember/don't talk about it until months later for the purpose of confirming canon. especially when BOTH characters are very much involved with other people. you think *that's* how they'd want their "epic love story" to get started???? after saying the show is already walking a fine line with the 'i'm bi and suddenly realized i have feelings for my best friend' angle??? save it for the fanfics.

JONAH?!?!?! where did that come from?? is this an actually spec people are throwing out?

People caught on to Kelvin Han Yee (Mr. Lee) following Bryce Durfee (Jonah) last month around the time the cast was still filming episode six. (How people have the time to keep track, I will never know!) The theory (I've only seen a little bit of it) is that Jonah may have found a drunk Chimney, possibly drugged him - I guess based on how clearly messed up he is? - and is going to end up being the person standing behind Chim in the shot where he's trying to crawl away.

Pure spec, ofc, but this cast doesn't follow anybody just for the fun of it. We already went through this with Ryan and Lou (and look how that's turned out).

the focus on buddie having their own party without the groom-to-be is funny, yes, but also the set up for the main event???

chim wouldn’t have gone MIA, possibly harmed by jonah (unclear), and brought to the hospital if buck and eddie didn’t get so drunk that they forgot where he was…

In your opinion, what are the chances of Tommy coming back after 7.06? Thanks!!

I would say very high. Regardless of where the Buck/Tommy relationship is at as we get closer to the finale, I would expect Tommy to be back just so the audience can get an idea of where Buck's story is going as we wait for the new season (similar to how BuckTaylor became official in 4x14 and Eddie and Marisol and Buck and Natalia started dating in 6x18). As for the actual specifics of the story line...Lou not wanting to speak about Buck and Tommy beyond 7x06 (when he didn't have scripts), but still saying Tommy could make more appearances in season 8 if ABC is happy with fan reception makes me think (though I could be wrong!) that at *worst* things are going to be left open-ended in a way that allows for Tommy to return if approved, but also gives Tim room to close that door if he absolutely had to, just like he's done with Natalia and Ali before this. (That being said...I don't think we're any closer to a different canon pairing for Buck despite what fandom is saying, so...I'm not seeing the point in tossing this relationship away already, and especially not when it's actually succeeding.)

is now a good time to say that as much as i never cared for bucktaylor i don't understand using that relationship as evidence of buck on a hamster wheel when - it was the first relationship buck actually wanted to be in since season 2 (i repeat, season 2) - they WERE "friends" for a time before taylor went to buck's loft and they agreed to start dating - they didn't OFFICIALLY move in together until 5x13 even though ofc when we'd see them together it's because they were at buck's at the same time what "hamster wheel"??? where was he rushing??? and btw. fandom's interpretation of the hamster wheel does not line up with tim's when tim has already clarified that the hamster wheel for HIM was solely about buck dating women and having the relationships go nowhere because they're not connected to the firefam :)) “I have been thinking about this story for a long time,” Minear told TheWrap. “I was kind of bored with the hamster wheel of the relationships [Buck] had been in. His story needed a slap. It needed some something fresh. This felt like it could be important to some people, and it felt like it was right for the character.”

@ hit the floor anon i've tried posting your ask twice, but tumblr isn't cooperating, so here we go first of all - same wavelength. thank you. "antis" rejecting the possibility of a buck/tommy kiss in episode six are building it up to be some Big Thing as if onlookers are gonna start clapping or audibly GASP because they had no idea Buck was attracted to men, too and then start gossiping amongst themselves. but that's not how i see it all. given what we know about the plot, given what else is supposed to be going on (chimney in the hospital), the more likely scenario (IMO) is that buck kisses tommy in front of a select group of family and friends because yes, tommy does find chimney and does get him the medical attention he needs, but the reactions will be mostly in the facial expressions - confused and/or amused depending on who we're looking at - because Now Is Not the Time. (I think this is where some of the catastrophizing comes in, tbh. I've seen people talk about Tommy "saving the day" so Madney can get married and I'm like...we all saw that promo, right? Something's wrong with Chim. He's not getting transported to the wedding venue when he clearly needs a doctor first. *That's* probably where Tommy crosses paths with the others.) ngl, I find this whole idea that a second kiss is supposed to take away the attention from another couple laughable just because the entire point of buck realizing he's bi later in life has been for it NOT to be treated like a huge shock, and when you remove homophobia from the equation (sorry, buckley parents haters)...the actual reaction is already set up to be much more subdued than the fandom is expecting.

"maybe we should try making the madney wedding episode more about madney" says the people who haven't shut up about bachelor party night as if it's taking up 90% of the plot because ~feelings realization~

yes, i think there is a high probability of a buck/tommy kiss in episode six, but why are the ones against it acting like buck is going to come out DURING the ceremony or even the reception??? if anything it's going to be before that to NOT take away from madney's moment. (the fandom focusing on it is different from the GA who has already seen them kiss before and won't be as surprised as they were during 7x04)

3. how threatened by a ship do you have to be to get mad that the number of fanfics are increasing on ao3/tumblr??? buck/tommy popularity is measured by RATINGS first, social media commentary second. and the social media commentary is probably by the people who write the fics so??? it's all the same??? the two guys responsible for making buddie what it's been and has become have told us that they are open to doing the story if they feel it's right for their characters. getting pissy in the interim is not going to motivate them to go down that road any faster when they also said they'd never do it just because the fans have been clamoring for it. /logs off

my favorite are the people who are saying they’re killing Tommy off. And I’m just like… yes, they are going to have him and Buck at the wedding, then he isn’t in two episodes and then, they bring him back, to kill him? in one of the last episodes of the season? makes sense.

And where would the "tender and positive" vibe come into play? When Buck goes to Eddie for comfort and ends up realizing he loved him all along? 🤔😝 L O L @ anyone thinking Oliver, the one who went on record with not wanting Buck's bi awakening to be about homophobia (he must have discussed it with Tim!) wouldn't argue against Buck's first male LI getting killed off even if that were an idea brewing in Tim's brain. He'd reject the entire arc if he had to. For a fandom that claims they don't like when characters get killed off, it sure has no problem concocting scenarios where the ones they don't like meet that exact fate. This season it's Tommy. Last season it was supposed to be Lucy that died in 6A to send Buck spiraling 🤣

Ngl I can't take Buck/Tommy hate seriously when people are making it glaringly obvious that their feelings aren't about Buddie as much as wanting their fave to get the arc instead. If Tommy and Eddie actually became a couple, Eddie stans would be saying Repressed Eddie is enough for them while Buck stans would be asking how the guy with the bi "hints" in prior seasons didn't get the arc first. The actual percentage of people who want Buddie and Buddie only is not as big as either side that is rooting for one character over the other.

One day it’s “Yeah, I can see how that first Buddie locker room scene had people sensing sexual tension” and the next it’s “I thought we left couch theory in season six” 😂😂😂
