listen I know that there were narrative reasons why Overhaul needed to be awful to Eri in canon but like. I really do feel like that was a massive missed opportunity for gap moe scary mob boss with cute adorable unicorn daughter. Classic villain troupe that gets me every time. Also had potential for exploring a more morally grey angle in that arc: this guy is gonna commit so many crimes but also his daughter adores him so what do. Not saying that the original angle was bad or anything just. they could've made good parent!Overhaul work, just saying.
