CME S17E2 spoilers

It's about the "whispering scene" (if you know you know)

I have a theory about what it might mean and it might be a stupid coincidence but I'm really proud of myself for noticing it.

So, according to the closed captioning the first time Voit whispers:

Injure, Jean, Fear, dot, Z, Y, Q

Now mind you, closed captioning can be wrong, and I swear even with the subtitles I hear the Z as an X, but regardless, subtitling means we are supposed to be hearing something. Unlike with the second game of telephone by Voit which is not subtitled.

So anyway, this is gibberish, right? or at the very least code. So because I'm that kind of dumbass my first thought was hey! anagram! Here's the kicker.

Injure Jean Fear

is a perfect anagram of

JennIFer jareau

Could it be a coincidence? A misdirection? Faulty CC? All of the above? Absolutely.

Do I know what the rest of it means? Absolutely not.

My money's is ultimately on sleeper agents/Manchurian candidate type of storyline where people don't know they are involved until they are activated with certain words or expressions.

So that's it. It may be nothing, but if this turns out to be relevant I will be insufferable about it.

So my goal this year was to read books I wouldn’t normally read. I always struggle to pick my next read so I decided to create the #CriminalMindsReadingChallenge. Should Hiro Mashima die?

My answer is no. 

Though, this isn’t about actually killing Hiro Mashima. Kinda got you with the title, though, huh? (This was originally going to be titled “Is Hiro Mashima dead?” and released on his birthday. You’re welcome.)

This post is about a widely debated topic of analysis known as the “death of the author.” I’ve talked about this a few different times in passing in a few posts over the years. You could argue that this belongs in my series rewriting Fairy Tail and I considered placing it there. However, I feel that it’s better that I keep this detached from that series. This topic concerns criticism of any series. Naturally, being a Fairy Tail blog, I plan on engaging this with the context of Fairy Tail’s author being dead or not, hence the title. Still, this is helpful to think about for analysis of plenty of other series.

Again, though, my answer is still no.
