Savoring every inch of skin softened by the shae butter that still lies atop the funky dresser.

Everything you do makes my mind race a million places and back in half an instant

And I catch my breath, before you suck it up along with my soul and the last bit of pride left in my body

The same body that now refuses another’s touch

Despite the fact that you didn’t ask for this and in spite of my every objection.

Who am I to you?

Even a fraction of what you are to me?

It’s okay, I know we are nothing.

Empty calories to a starved gut.

Yet every message I hope is from you,

and inevitably feel the sting of disappointment when reality strikes me across the face.
