Picture this, you're stressed out because Covid and climate change finds you out of a job and now you can't pay for dental work so as you listen to the hold music to the dental clinic to cancel your wisdom teeth surgery you log into tumblr to calm your nerves only to be greeted by a Destiel meme informing you that the word flashing is banned and you realise fellow tumblr users can't use a warning for post that could trigger your epilepsy. Imagine this, you're now afraid and there's nothing you can do, no tag to filter out, no warning to safe you.

VET BILL

I have to take my cat to the vet tomorrow morning for an emergency appointment. I think he has an abscess in his lower jaw and I’m not sure how much the visit, treatment, and medication will cost. I’m really nervous cause I’ve never had to take a pet in to get emergency treatment before. If any of you would like to donate to help me cover the possible costs I’d really appreciate it. Below is a picture of his mouth on the left you can see the swelling in his bottom left jaw that makes it difficult for him to close his mouth completely. If anything bad happens to my cat lm not sure what I’ll do I love him so much.

interrupting the bday celebrations to say st. vincent's volcano la soufriere on their largest island chain just erupted and the smoke rose to 10km in the air, and ash is falling heavily.

st. vincent is a very small island in the caribbean - much smaller than that of my own country and my country is like a dot on the world map - of only 100k+ citizens and at least 7,000 people were told to evacuate. this is the first eruption since 1979. st. vincent is a predominantly black country, and as of now i haven't seen any petitions as yet from the people. all i can do is hope that we can boost this and send them our love and support.

At least eight islands in the Pacific have already disappeared because of rising sea levels. Over the next century many communities, including my family, will be displaced and lose their ancestral lands and foundation of their cultural practices. Trump removing the US from the Paris Agreement, taking climate change off the National Security Strategy, and repealing the Clean Power Plan is a slap in the face and to me, intensely personal. PLEASE contact your representatives regarding climate change and taking steps to counteract the potentially irreversible harm Trump is doing to our planet.

awesome possum, even with the work i've had done on my mouth to repair the damage after the assault and everything, it looks like it's still too little too late and i'm going to have to get them all ripped out and replaced with dentures. fuck. this is just... so much more than i can even think about right now, but my shitty medicaid is still gonna leave me with like at least 2 or 3 thousand to cover out of pocket if not much more and like, i really miss eating solid food and being able to open my mouth in public, and i'm kinda tired of being in like burning visceral agony all the time so i don't really have many options here and i gotta get this figured out. i'm gonna have another appointment in like a week to work out more specific numbers and appointment dates and stuff but right now i desperately need to start raising money for this. fuck. even if i could just get literally a dollar or two from half of my followers, that would get me where i'm trying to get for this. please. i'm so fucking desperate to finally have this whole fucking thing just over with, even if it's only possible through getting them all ripped out. i don't care anymore i'm just so fucking sick of my mouth hurting and not being able to eat and this post is probably rally badly written and rambling but i just left the dentist and i'm trying really hard to not start sobbing at the bus stop and everything is overwhelming right now
