Percy's attention was glued to Jamie and this other woman, concern etched into his features, while he internally squealed in delight. This entire exploit had been wonderful; ten out of ten, would watch again! He let his delight show a fraction as he smiled, letting it look like he was relieved that Jamie was okay- letting it look like the woman's remark about the medal amused him. "That's okay," he looked around his cell, "I don't have anywhere to hang it."
Everything in him wanted to approach them; to run his fingers through their hair and sink his fangs into their necks- God, how he wanted to feed from the vein. He hadn't attacked anyone since before coming to Havensdale and, with them standing right there, it was proving to be the hardest part of this plan. His thoughts briefly drifted to the blood still coating his fingers- Jamie's blood- and he wondered if the cameras were angled well enough to see if he were to lick them clean.
"I've already explained what I want." Not to her, of course, but surely the cameras caught his last monologue. If they didn't? Tragic. "I came here to find my brothers. If it means I don't have to be alone anymore... I'll spend the rest of my days in this cell." Percy could point out that if he wanted to run, he could have. He could point out that he could have attacked Jamie, one of the other guards, her. Telling her these things like he deserved some gratitude for not being a monster would get him nowhere, would likely rile up some suspicion within her. So, he opted to let her brain fill in those details for him. She seemed smart; she would know the things he could have done, but didn't. He even refrained from turning his attention to Jamie, seeing the protective grip the woman had on her and not wanting to antagonise her further, or do anything to be perceived as a threat. His words were directed only to her, "I'm glad she's okay. I won't move from this position until your guy has fixed the panel."

As quickly as the other boy had disappeared, Carmen was appearing in her line of vision giving orders to the guards that had just broken through. Jamie pulled herself up, still leaning back against the wall, but now she could see Chris being pinned to the floor by the guy who looked alarmingly like him and a panic washed over her. They were going to take him away. "No." It came out as a whisper, barely even a breath. Chris was going to disappear and she would never get another chance; not that she did too well this time.
Carmen moved in front of her, shifting her attention from Chris and her head shook automatically at her words. "I failed. I wasn't strong enough... I couldn't-..." Jamie was still firmly on the floor, but the room was spinning and forming sentences was hard. She had been so stupid. How could she have ever thought that she was capable of taking down a vampire. She was just a stupid girl and that's all anyone would ever see when they looked at her; the idiot kid that thought she could take down Chris Andrews.
His voice reverberated through the room and the words hit her- brother. There was another Andrews brother? Jamie's eyes darted to the figure backing away into the other cell and she suddenly became aware of the fact that he had been there the entire time, watching the entire interaction between them. She might have taken a moment to feel embarrassed about that if Chris' voice hadn't chimed in again, this time calling out to her- calling her name. Jamie scrambled forward, peering around Carmen as a syringe was plunged into his neck. She felt as desperate to get to him as he had sounded, but she stayed put; it wouldn't do to look like she cared. "What are they going to do to him?"

Admittedly, Percy flinched as the door was blasted open and he half expected the guards to grab hold of him too, but the woman in charge gave her orders and they didn't seem to involve him. As soon as the first guard had their hand on Chris, Percy stood with his hands raised and backed up, knowing better than to give them a reason to want to take him to the sublevel too. He could only venture a guess at the exciting things they must get up to down there.
The woman was glaring as she snapped at him and the corner of Percy's lips twitched imperceptibly. What a vision. Maybe one day he'll get a chance to taste her. "Helping?" He offered, shooting a concerned look to the girl on the floor. "Is she going to be okay?" Percy didn't wait for a response, feeling the unease of the people around him, he backed up even more until he was back in his cell and took a seat on the floor. If they were ever going to trust him, he had to give them a reason to.
At the sound of Chris calling out to him, Percy shifted his attention to his brother, his brow furrowing as if this was difficult for him. "I'm sorry..." It took everything in him not to smirk as he was dragged away, but he was sure that he would be seeing him again. Jamie. His eyes moved back to the shifter, watching her reaction to his brother being dragged away. It was... interesting, to say the least. He had listened in as she told him she loathed him, but that expression didn't seem hateful.
Percy hadn't been here for very long, and he had taken this assignment thinking that his main focus would be on his brothers, but it seemed that Havensdale Valley was full of far more interesting people than the Andrews brothers, and he couldn't wait to sink his teeth into them all.

Jamie tilted her head back as his hand reached for her throat, not wanting him to get the upper hand, but not willing to back off. It was a foolish move; she should have taken the opportunity to run. The adrenaline was wearing off and exhaustion was hitting her hard. Her one chance to take him out and she had fucked it. She should have run. His touch was terrifyingly gentle- more gentle than she would have ever imagined him capable of- and his words... God, those words. Her eyes closed for the briefest moment, but she snapped them back open, refusing to break eye contact- refusing to feel... whatever she was feeling.
And just like that, his grip tightened, cutting off her oxygen as she was pulled upright. Jamie wasn't quick enough this time. Before she could even think of shifting to escape him, she was being thrust across the room and collided with-... Was that the control panel? Pain shot through her entire body, her vision going in and out of focus as she lay crumpled against the wall. Scott's voice echoed in her mind as she tried- and failed- to get back to her feet.
'It’s him - just him, or you, and every poor asshole standing in his way while he tears himself out of here. All because you believe that you, and you alone, have the guts to do what professional, goddamn adults can’t.'
He was going to escape and it would be entirely her fault. What had she been thinking? Who was she trying to fool? The spiralling internal monologue was cut off by Chris lunging for her, fangs bared, and she closed her eyes... only, nothing happened. Suddenly, hands were holding her so tenderly, lifting her head to get her attention. Jamie's eyes opened and a gasp escaped her as a beautiful man asked her if she was alright. "I-..." She was struggling to focus on him, but as his fangs extended and his eyes darkened, she was horrified to realise that he looked like him. And then he was gone.

The last thing Percy had expected to see today was a young shifter hellbent on taking Chris off the board. He had no idea what his brother had done to deserve this elaborate break out scheme, but he was tickled. It had been an effort to look like he was horrified with what was happening, making a show of yelling for the guards and slamming his hands on the glass, but internally he was captivated. Who was she? How deep was Chris' attachment to her? How deep was her attachment to him? This whole scene was absolutely delicious and he wasn't even allowed to enjoy it.
He watched with outward horror (inward delight) as Chris stood, holding the girl by the throat before propelling her across the room. His hand came down to slam into the glass again, but it was in the process of dropping into the ground and, in his distraction, he almost tumbled over it. He was free.
Percy's eyes darted between them and the door, his neurons firing faster than the speed of light. If he moved to unlock the door- with the intention of letting in the guards that were currently pounding on the other side- it might look like he was trying to escape. He would rather not have to talk his way out of that. Really, there was only one option. At full vampire speed, Percy whooshed over, grabbing the back of Chris' collar before his fangs could break skin and launching him to the other side of the room. He crouched beside the girl, supporting her head so she could look at him. "Are you alright?" That was when he felt it- smelled it- the blood now coating his fingers.
Time for another performance!
Slowly, Percy lifted his hand towards his lips, but closed his eyes and clenched his fist at the last moment, turning his head from her. His fangs were bared in a dramatic display of self-control as he made a point of showing the camera that he wouldn't dream of hurting an innocent girl. His fangs retracted and he backed away from the girl, turning his attention to his brother. In the blink of an eye, he was on top of Chris, pinning him to the floor. Unlike him, Percy hadn't been deprived of blood and whatever had been filtering into the adjoining cell, hadn't been released into his. He was still at full strength, and holding down this little twerp was barely a challenge. "Stay down."

Jamie couldn't think, couldn't process the surrounding information. There was only Chris and her, and her useless hand that wasn't strong enough to do what she needed it to; she wasn't strong enough. She felt like a child having a tantrum, kicking and screaming at the mall because her parents wouldn't buy her an ice cream. She roared until she couldn't- until her throat dried out. She pushed into his chest until she couldn't- until the muscle in her arm went limp. It wasn't fair!
And he was laughing.
His hand gripped hers and pulled, mocking her with an attempt to help. Jamie could feel her fingers sliding in deeper, but the ache in them made her sure that if he kept going, it was more likely that her bones would break before his. Her gaze was full of venom as she stared down at him, breathing heavily- panting, even. She tried to ignore the shiver that ran down her spine when he called her baby, convincing herself that it was disgust, but pressed up against him like this, she was struggling to formulate a coherent thought.
The pain in her wrist as he tightened his grip and tore her from his chest, snapped her somewhat back to reality. A whimper escaped her as her bones threatened to shatter under the pressure, but she held her position mere inches from his face. "Like you?" Jamie scoffed, leaning impossibly closer, their noses brushing, as she spoke through gritted fangs. "I abhor you. I detest you." Her other hand seized his jaw, claws gently imbedding themselves in his skin. "With everything that I am, I loathe you, Chris Andrews."

"Well, my mother had just died and then I found out my father and half-brothers were long gone too, so I think disappointing might be putting it mildly." Percy snapped at Alex, as though it were a sensitive topic. Once upon a time, it had been. He could still remember being that scared human boy, discovering that he was all alone in the world; that he had traversed the globe... for nothing. "I understand." He added when Corey spoke, knowing now that they had been turned and had to flee. And then Alex asked that. Percy didn't miss a beat, a flicker of pain flashing across his expression. "I don't know." A lie, of course, but they needn't know that it was Charles Emerson who had sired him. "I met a girl at a protest in New York and I-... I took her dancing. Next thing I knew, I was waking up in the alley behind the dance hall and..." He trailed off, avoiding eye contact with his brothers in a show of shame. "I killed a lot of people that day." For the most part, the story was true; Percy just made a point to leave out Charlie's involvement.
He shook his head in a scramble to explain himself. "No. No, I've never met Jordan, but if he's here and would-..." Percy reeled in his excitement, "I've just heard so much about him. He's a legend." He let awe colour his expression, but when Alex made a show of leaving, his face fell and his hands pressed up against the glass. The slam from the next cell cut through the silence and Percy was getting a little irritated by Chris' interruptions. This wasn't about him, though he would be lying if he said it wasn't still mildly entertaining.
"Corey, please." His attention was fully on his oldest brother now, "I'll stay in here without complaint, I won't cause any trouble. All I ask is that you give me a chance to prove myself, if not as a brother, then as a friend." Percy poured every ounce of sincerity he could into his plea, even briefly glancing towards Alex before returning to Corey. "Should you find I'm no threat to you, but you still want nothing to do with me, I'll accept that too. Your people can knock me out and toss me in the forest somewhere, so that I can't ever reveal the location of this place." His brow furrowed and he allowed tears to freely fall down his cheeks. "I have nothing- no one. I just want a chance."

As Percy finished up his short answer version of the story Alex scoffed. He'd been perfectly happy not knowing Percy so much as existed until about 20 minutes ago, and he'd be just as happy going back to that. Despite this, he couldn't help but listen intently to the longer tale, the contents of which he found to be believable, for the most part. "France? Quite the journey, sounds disappointing." Believable, however, was a standard that didn't hold much potency these days. It wasn't enough. Trust had to be gained, and Alex didn't throw that around for free anymore.
His brow furrowed as the newest Andrews referred to his vampirism, spurring an important question, "who sired you?" It couldn't have been Edward, surely. Alex' lips tugged towards a smile for brief moment at that possibility - it wouldn't surprise him at this point, despite the unlikelihood. "Popular guy, our Jordan. Who is he to you? I can go get him, he's normally quite sociable. Chris, you'd like to see Jordan too, I'm sure?"
Alex expression, which had mostly been a steadfast frown since entering the holding cells, softened into a look of confusion at his new brother's emotional recount of his actions since entering the dome. However, Alex wasn't about to delve deeper into this pointless bonding session for fear of connecting with a hope that - well, that he could have his brothers back. His family. Bring Corey back from the edge. Make Chris see sense. Edward would surely take this from him as well. "Well, consider us found. Hope we've lived up to your expectations. I'm sure, at least on my part, they weren't overstated. I'll leave you in the capable hands of the Institute." With that, he looked to Corey and nodded towards the door, urging them both to leave.

Percy had to fight his instinct to smirk at Chris' complaints in the next cell. It was incredibly satisfying knowing that he was the one to put him there, and it made this whole scene all the better for it. He wished he could see him. As it was, he kept his attention on his other two brothers, now standing side by side and asking all the right questions. They were playing their parts excellently.
"The short answer? Yes, I knew you were here. And nothing. I don't want anything other than to know you." Quick and to the point, but severely lacking in detail, Percy hoped his response had piqued their interest. "The long answer...?" He shrugged, looking at each of them in turn, knowing fine well that he would have to explain himself, but wanting desperately to see the curiosity in their eyes. What was the point in a story without a captivated audience?
"I grew up knowing about you. When my mother died, I didn't have anyone else, so I did everything I could to leave France and get to America, but when I finally found your family home... well..." It was burned to the ground, of course. "I asked around and I was told that the Andrews family perished in that fire, so... I moved on. Tried to start a life. You can imagine how it ended up." Percy used a hand to indicate himself and his obvious vampire-ness.
"A few years ago, I heard that a war was coming; that supernaturals from all over were gathering in Havensdale Valley and mixed into all that, I heard the name 'Andrews' being thrown around- alongside Jordan Rickman, of all people! I wasn't foolish enough to believe it could be you, but I had hope. But then..." He dramatically flared his hands to indicate a puff of smoke, "It was gone. I forgot what I was looking for. I forgot Havensdale entirely. It was only recently that memories started trickling back in, and so... here I am."
His eyes glistened as he faked fighting back his crocodile tears. "I found Chris first, but it didn't take me long to realise his humanity was off. I thought he might have led me to you both, but when he didn't, I changed plans. I knocked Chris out and brought him to the McReid house, thinking the hunters of this town might help me if I brought them... someone from the other side. I didn't realise I'd be stumbling into this entire operation." Percy's brows knitted together, his joy at finding them turning a little sad. "I've been alone for so long... I just needed to find you."

"Well, you've just got yourself the most adorable doppelganger," Alex snickered at Chris, ignoring Corey's entrance until he heard his line of questioning. Turning to Corey in bewilderment, he exclaimed, "who cares where he's been? He's here in a cell." Returning his attention to Chris, he clapped his hands together gleefully, "a crisis would suit you. Feels like it's due time."
He listened as Percy answered Corey, uninterested in this particular subject matter, but his mannerisms caught his attention. The excitement, the emotions - he could see it. Himself. Corey. Both of them in this stranger. Didn't mean he'd have to accept him though. Family wasn't just blood. Alex walked to stand side by side with Corey to study the newcomer. "What do you want?"

Ah, the darling 'step-daddy'. If only he knew. "Is that so? Well, it sure sounds like you've got me all figured out." What a fun guy. His mind was going to be so blown if he ever chose to reveal the truth- something else for him to look forward to. The question on Chris' lips would have been a fun one to answer, but Percy couldn't be too disappointed when it was interrupted by the door opening. Showtime.
Using the wall as leverage, Percy pushed himself up and slowly approached the glass, his hands pressing against it as he stared at Alex. He smiled at him as he made his observations, letting excitement- awe- leak into his expression. "Alex?" The door opened again and he watched as Corey hesitantly entered the picture. This moment was... everything. For decades, Percy had been watching them from the shadows, but to have them see him? It was exhilarating. His smile grew, tears welling in his eyes as he looked at his family. "You're really here."
It wasn't difficult to fake the emotional response one with their humanity on would have to this situation. He had been honing his acting skills for years and it certainly helped that he was absolutely buzzed to be here. "I've been... outside for a while." He admitted. "I couldn't get past the town boundary, but then that explosion happened and there was a ripple." He waved his fingers against the glass, "I followed two other vampires through." The implication being that it was Ruby and Jordan. "I've been looking for you."

Alex hadn't been sure what to expect when Ana called both himself and Corey for a debrief but a family reunion sure wasn't it. Percy Andrews? Who the fuck was that? As soon as she'd said where they were held, Alex was off, leaving the logistics to his brother. There was only one way in hell he'd believe this, and that was seeing it for himself.
As soon as he stormed in he flew straight past Chris' cell to greet his new brother, no doubt interrupting their conversation. The resemblance was uncanny, to say the least. There was no doubt that this man was related to Chris. He analysed Percy for a fair few seconds before turning to Chris in the other cell with a smirk, "have you seen this?" He motioned to Percy while addressing his younger brother - the only one he'd had until today. His eyebrows raised in disbelief, "guess you're not the baby anymore."

Percy grinned from ear to ear when he was accused of having a flare for the dramatic. Something they had in common, perhaps? Maybe it ran in their genetics to be a vacuum for attention in whatever room they inhabited. "What can I say? I was nervous." He turned slightly so that his back was now against their shared wall, and leaned his head back. "Can't say I anticipated being locked up beside you, though. That was my bad, but you have to commend their security."
He took a moment to look around the room- at the bright lights and white walls of his cell, the one glass wall making him feel like he was a new exhibit at the zoo, the world beyond that lead to the entire underground operation of the Resistance. Percy didn't much like being caged, but he was nothing if not a patient man. He would get out of this cell through manipulation or force- he didn't care which. So, despite the circumstances, he was absolutely tickled to have infiltrated this elusive location already. His attention shifted back to the conversation when Chris laughed, and his smile somehow widened. "I couldn't say. My mother certainly... romanticised the situation, and him. My view is a little rose-tinted, I'm afraid."
Tumblr media
@alex-andrews-hih
Christopher. It wasn't entirely shocking that his assailant would know his name and, well, in this town everyone did. But there was something in the way that he said it. There was too much familiarity, too much anticipation. Chris felt himself move closer to the wall, suddenly feeling a shift in the air between them, as if he should be anticipating some great reveal too. Get them all together? Chris canted his head, running over all the names he knew of the traitors underground. The obvious answer was staring him in the face. He wasn't ready to see it yet. "I see you have a flare for the dramatic," he commented as the silence stretched between them.
Chris was practically clawing at the walls to know the answer now. The tension Percival had built up had its desired effect, even on him. And then the bombshell landed. 'As my brother', the words went around and around in Chris' head. If his humanity had been on, his reaction would have been bigger, he was sure. The implications of such a thing were so much bigger than he could comprehend. Another brother. Another vampire. Another... pain in the ass. Percy, if that was indeed his real name, had dragged Chris down here for a damn family reunion, making his stance clear. Chris didn't trust him, but at the same time he found himself not doubting him. That this particular truth, was real. After a long stretch of silence while Chris' mind was blown, he suddenly let out a loud and borderline hysterical laugh. "Dear old dad... Not so perfect after all."

Percy always loved this part- the reveal, the first interaction- but it felt different this time. This was... special. This was decades in the making and he wanted to savour it- to bottle up the buzz in his chest and relive it over and over again. "A text?" He scoffed. Imagine. "No, a text simply wouldn't do, Christopher." It was a shame, really. Percy could see it- the brothers they could be. They would cause all sorts of mayhem together; maybe even rival the great Vandevieres for vampire siblings of the century. But, alas, his camaraderie, along with his freedom, would be sacrificed for the bigger picture- for the bigger masterpiece. "Please understand... With your humanity off, I saw no other course of action to get you all together."
Hearing the question made Percy feel giddy. They always asked who he was, but even if he told them, they never knew. He was just some guy, there to ruin their life with no apparent rhyme or reason. He didn't have the recognition of his maker and he liked that just fine, but here they would know him. It was tantalising. Part of him wanted to wait until they were all here- to see Chris' face when he made his confession- but he was sure that Ana would have already spoiled the surprise for Corey and Alex, and he could not contain himself a second longer. "My name is Percival." He paused for dramatic effect, "Percival Andrews. I hope, as my brother, that you'll call me Percy."
Tumblr media
Chris was already trying to scheme his way out of this. Who was the weak link? Corey? He definitely had to get out of here before they got any funny ideas about cutting into his head. Chris couldn't believe this had happened. No one took him by surprise. No one caught him vulnerable. And yet, this guy had. Who the hell was he? His brow furrowed at the sound of his voice, the sound of him moving in his adjoining cell. Chris walked slowly over to the wall, leaning his back against it while he listened to this stranger who spoke like they were old friends. "A blatant understatement, but go on."
His brow furrowed at his words. What did that mean? "You could have dropped me a text," he countered, "not fed me to the wolves." Chris could hardly contain the question, turning to face the wall as if he could bore through it to this asshole's face. "Who are you?"

Okay. So, that hadn't exactly gone to plan, but he could work with this. When Chris Andrews had collapsed in Dexter's garden, Percy had been lurking at the edge of the woods, watching. It wasn't his intention to make his move now, but when an opportunity like that presents itself, you don't let it go to waste. Only, he wasn't quick enough. That tall drink of water had exited his home and swiped up his bounty before he had the chance to think up a dramatic entrance. And so, he was left to improvise. When Chris reemerged, Percy was there, waiting to introduce himself as a friend before stabbing him in the neck with a syringe full of-... well, he honestly stopped listening when Edward was explaining, but he trusted whatever magic was in it would do the job and voilà!
From there, he transported him to the McReid home, where a pretty little blond wolf glared daggers at him as he lay his offering down at Lillian Khaldun's feet and begged for an audience with the leader of the Resistance. It was from this point that his plan took a little detour, and he now found himself in a cell adjacent to his darling brother.
Percy had been awake for a little while now and, upon hearing Chris stir, he chuckled. Things might be playing out a little differently than his vision, but this was still pretty good. "Hey, sunshine." He sat a little more upright, excited to finally be communicating with one of his longest targets. "I won't lie to you... things could have gone better." He scrambled across the floor to the wall hiding Chris and placed a hand against it as he leaned his ear in closer. "You have no idea how long I've waited to meet you. I hope you can forgive me for the lengths I've had to go to."
Tumblr media
Chris' head was pounding. He was trying desperately to piece together the last few hours (days? months?) while fighting against the pain of his still healing wounds. He had made it from Dexter's garden, staggering to his feet, the tears in his flesh stitching up slower than he'd prefer. He'd needed blood, that much was clear. That much he remembered. Chris had been looking for the nearest heartbeat to tear into when a figure stood in his path. A shadow. Wait, no... Some fucking guy. What the hell did he want? Who the hell was he? Chris groaned, finally forcing his eyes open.
The guy, he'd said something about being... a friend? Next thing Chris knew, he was lying on the cold, hard, ground. The truth of his situation was slowly dawning on him. He'd been knocked out. Handed over. Locked up. The damn Resistance had got one over on him. How had they got one over on him? "Fucking hell," he murmured, sitting up in what was clearly a cell. It was then he realised, at last, he wasn't alone. He could hear him through the wall and while Chris had barely had a chance to interact with him, he knew who it was. "Hey genius... Was this your big plan?" @p-ercyandrews
