I just wanna say Devin Druid and Justin Prentice knocked it out the damn park this season. They took two characters that had very set ways and flipped the script and transformed in ways that seemed impossible looking at s2.

There is a good and bad side to everyone. Even your favorites. This season really shed some light on him and the explanation behind his violent homophobic behavior. I know that it does not excuse what he did to Tyler, but we need to re-analyze his complex character and how broken he really was. His abuse that he’s endured his whole life, along with his struggling self-hate caused him to snap when he blamed Tyler for ruining everything. Season 2 Monty admitted all he had was his team, and Bryce. Nothing else. He lost both. Which was the cause of his *snap* (that’s what him and Tyler shared in common, they both snapped and planned/followed through with a plan that would cause harm. Monty assaulted Tyler and Tyler was going to murder several students-which whom many were innocent). People forget to compare their rage at the time of their breaks. Tyler had help to stop him, Monty didn’t.. I’m not justifying it, I’m making sense out of it. Yes, he should of never inflicted his own pain into someone else, but yet again we are all different. We all handle things differently. We all suffer differently. Monty was a product of his environment, clearly as he was beaten by his own father. Monty became the most complex character of the season by introducing his soft side explored with Winston. Which we all were waiting for. They brought out the content in his character by his developing relationship with Winston. The moment Monty re-approaches Winston after the homecoming game, we see a whole other side to him. Monty shows remorse, as he apologized to Winston for his altercation that happen last summer. The crack in his voice, and expression on his face he had telling Winston that he as sorry, and that he wasn’t going to do anything.. was it. The night he spent with Winston cleared the air more, by how happy Monty really seemed in the presence of Winston. He had a feeling he’s never had before, someone who was whiling to let him be whatever he wants to be. When Monty responded: “No. I can’t.” I cried. 😰 Right there you can see the pain, regret and sadness in his eyes that he wants to change, but he’s not sure exactly how to do it by himself. Which is why, he was different with Winston, because Winston let him be who he wanted to be. Monty wanted to change, and he was slowly doing so. Finally, the scene with his father really made me overall break for Monty. His father not only called him a fa**t, but adding insult to injury he spit disgracefully in his face... right there I understand how lonely, and empty Monty really was. 😰💔 He deserves a better father, and he deserves a chance at change. He is capable of it, as we all seen. His death is a hoax that’s use as a cover up. They added so much content and heart into his character for this to be it. He will return in Season 4, and so will Winston.

A brief insight on something I found and how abuse can affect a child and their behavior... Professor Webb said, “exposure to poverty can have an adverse impact on early child development as well as parental conflict and separation, harming children’s psychosocial development and well-being.” Continuing he added: “This study casts new light on our understanding of the deep-rooted causes of self-harm and violent behaviour. Though to some extent, we all make choices, what children go through does have a powerful effect on these harmful behaviours.” found at childinthecity.org (along with this, there are plenty of statistics of proven psychology facts that what a child endured growing up, plays a huge factor in their behavior.

A better, more positive Tumblr

Since its founding in 2007, Tumblr has always been a place for wide open, creative self-expression at the heart of community and culture. To borrow from our founder David Karp, we’re proud to have inspired a generation of artists, writers, creators, curators, and crusaders to redefine our culture and to help empower individuality.

Over the past several months, and inspired by our storied past, we’ve given serious thought to who we want to be to our community moving forward and have been hard at work laying the foundation for a better Tumblr. We’ve realized that in order to continue to fulfill our promise and place in culture, especially as it evolves, we must change. Some of that change began with fostering more constructive dialogue among our community members. Today, we’re taking another step by no longer allowing adult content, including explicit sexual content and nudity (with some exceptions).  

Let’s first be unequivocal about something that should not be confused with today’s policy change: posting anything that is harmful to minors, including child pornography, is abhorrent and has no place in our community. We’ve always had and always will have a zero tolerance policy for this type of content. To this end, we continuously invest in the enforcement of this policy, including industry-standard machine monitoring, a growing team of human moderators, and user tools that make it easy to report abuse. We also closely partner with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Internet Watch Foundation, two invaluable organizations at the forefront of protecting our children from abuse, and through these partnerships we report violations of this policy to law enforcement authorities. We can never prevent all bad actors from attempting to abuse our platform, but we make it our highest priority to keep the community as safe as possible.

So what is changing?

Posts that contain adult content will no longer be allowed on Tumblr, and we’ve updated our Community Guidelines to reflect this policy change. We recognize Tumblr is also a place to speak freely about topics like art, sex positivity, your relationships, your sexuality, and your personal journey. We want to make sure that we continue to foster this type of diversity of expression in the community, so our new policy strives to strike a balance.

Why are we doing this?

It is our continued, humble aspiration that Tumblr be a safe place for creative expression, self-discovery, and a deep sense of community. As Tumblr continues to grow and evolve, and our understanding of our impact on our world becomes clearer, we have a responsibility to consider that impact across different age groups, demographics, cultures, and mindsets. We spent considerable time weighing the pros and cons of expression in the community that includes adult content. In doing so, it became clear that without this content we have the opportunity to create a place where more people feel comfortable expressing themselves.

Bottom line: There are no shortage of sites on the internet that feature adult content. We will leave it to them and focus our efforts on creating the most welcoming environment possible for our community.

So what’s next?

Starting December 17, 2018, we will begin enforcing this new policy. Community members with content that is no longer permitted on Tumblr will get a heads up from us in advance and steps they can take to appeal or preserve their content outside the community if they so choose. All changes won’t happen overnight as something of this complexity takes time.

Another thing, filtering this type of content versus say, a political protest with nudity or the statue of David, is not simple at scale. We’re relying on automated tools to identify adult content and humans to help train and keep our systems in check. We know there will be mistakes, but we’ve done our best to create and enforce a policy that acknowledges the breadth of expression we see in the community.

Most importantly, we’re going to be as transparent as possible with you about the decisions we’re making and resources available to you, including more detailed information, product enhancements, and more content moderators to interface directly with the community and content.

Like you, we love Tumblr and what it’s come to mean for millions of people around the world. Our actions are out of love and hope for our community. We won’t always get this right, especially in the beginning, but we are determined to make your experience a positive one.

Part 9 ;

Incase you were wondering how things have been with Monty since we last left off. Fucking amazing. Monty was a complete asshole, everyone knew that. To me? Not at all. To everyone else .. yeah. It seemed as though it was part of his daily routine to stomp on someone’s day but since we’ve been together there has been no messing with other teens in Liberty.

Montgomery De La Cruz not ruining people’s lives? No. I’m not lying. I’ve literally been pulled aside and thanked by a couple teens he picked on for ‘changing him’ but the things is, I haven’t done anything. I’ve never had to lecture him on being a good person, he did it all on his own. Was I surprised ? Hell yes. I knew deep down he was a great guy but I was no fool, I knew when rubbed the wrong way he could be a serious jerk.

Besides his change in behaviour, his grades have changed significantly from C’s to B’s and an occasional A here and there. As a result, he’s been getting a ton of praise from Coach. That leads to the baseball team. You can pretty much say he was now becoming a fan favourite just like Jeff.

As for our relationship on the whole, it’s been amazing. We’ve been spending a lot of time together , keeping each other company since he liked to be distant from his father at times and my mom has been busy on trips lately. Now the real tea you’ve been waiting for. The sex. The sex has been AMAZING. Monty makes me feel a way i’ve never felt before . There was something about the way his hands always roamed my body whether I was ontop or below him. The way he bit his lip when he looked at me as though I was the most beautiful thing alive. The way he kissed any part of my body he thinks he may have been to rough with, apologizing and taking the time to tend to me. It was perfect.

“ I’ll see you at practice this evening? ” Monty asked, his arm around my shoulder as we both walked into Liberty High , ready to start the day. “As usual, can’t miss Chloe’s cheer practice and I gotta cheer on my man” I winked playfully at him and he chuckled, pressing a sweet kiss to my lips. “I love you, i’ll see you later.”

Removing his hand from my shoulders, placing one more peck to the side of my forehead , he slipped away to his lockers to get ready for his first period , leaving me to do the same until I caught eyes with Zach. We haven’t really spoken since our last encounter at Monet’s . We occasionally caught eyes in the hallway or the cafe but I usually looked away before I could get a reaction. He was standing at Alex’s locker , not paying attention to him as he looked my way. I sent him a smile and he returned one great fully just as I turned the corner to head to my own locker.

“And there’s the beauty I wanted to talk to” a voice piped in behind me as I rummaged through my bag , looking for my text book to switch. “Ryan Shaver, to what do I owe this pleasure ” I smiled looking up and noticing Courtney by his side “Hey Courtney” They both smiled at me as I switched books, shutting it behind me. “I want to organize a slam poetry at Monet’s and I know you work there.. Courtney will help me organize the event.. do you think you can speak to the owner and put in a good word for me?”

“Of course Ryan! I’ve got a shift there tomorrow so i’ll be sure to help you out, I don’t see why he won’t agree to it. ” I adjusted the strap on my shoulder and Ryan was about to speak when he heard shouting . A lot of shouting. “What the hell?” Ryan asked as the three of us made our way down the hall, turning the corner , shocked at what was laid out in front of us. There was a huge fight which had broken out.

I immediately spotted the familiar blue varsity jackets mixed with some leather ones. What the hell. Cyrus. Justin. Bryce. Scott was holding back Clay. Jeff was helping Tony up. And of course, Zach, Monty and Alex.

“Tyler what the hell is going on?! ” I asked urgently, leaving Courtney and Ryan behind. “Justin picked a fight with Bryce and everyone pitched in. Now what about to happen was really fucking stupid of me because I knew better but I did it anyways.

Monty was repeatedly punching Zach over and over whilst Alex raised his hand weakly , slamming his cane down on Monty which knocked up off . Zach was grabbed by another guy and Monty had gotten up, slamming Alex against the lockers. “MONTY stop it!” I yelled as I ran over to the two but it was a fail. He was way to focused on Alex and it was way too loud. “MONTY!” I repeated again, putting my hands on his shoulders to pull him off the blond haired boy in front of him. Alex did not need any more damage done to him.

What happened next felt like hours to me when in reality it could have only been seconds. Monty’s elbow not only hit me roughly in my eye as he raised his arm back but he turned quickly planting a blow straight across my jaw and partially my lip.

I landed to the floor in one go, laying flat on my back as everything sort of became silent all at once. Ryan had pulled the fire alarm to help stop the fight, everyone running off except for the main ones who were involved in the fight. Scott stayed holding Clay back. Tony was off to the side not wanting to be involved more than he already was. Jeff had helped Justin up and separated him and Bryce. After the guy had run off, Zach was left leaning against the locker doubled over whilst Alex looked on , eyes wide meanwhile Monty seemed like he had saw a ghost. They were all shocked, so shocked no one registered the hit I had taken until I groaned in pain and snapped them back to reality.

“(Y/N)!! ” Jeff yelled running over to help me sit up. I flinched as he cupped my cheek, the same spot where Monty had cuffed. He pulled it back quickly and I noticed the red on his palms. I brought my fingers up to my lips, flinching when my fingers brushed over it . Yup, busted open.

“Baby..” Monty’s voice was softer as he knelt down to examine my face, resting his hands on my knees. I flinched when he touched me and Zach grabbed him from behind, pulling him up and slamming his back into the locker “you fucking hit her you asshole” he yelled and Monty shoved him off . Zach was about to hit him when I called out to him quickly, my right eye already throbbing in pain. My face was definiately bruising already. “Zach Don’t.” I warned , pushing myself to stand with the help of Jeff.

“(Y/N) I thought you were Zach trying to get me off of Alex I swear. I would never hurt you, I would never lay my hands on you I swear” he pleaded and I shook my head, turning away from him as my eyes stung with tears.

“We’re done.” I spoke softly but loud enough for everyone watching to hear. I turned to Jeff , tears escaping “Please take me home..”

“(Y/N) no, please I promise you -” “Promise me what Monty? This was never your fight. This was between Bryce and Justin. Why do you always have to stick up for Bryce and get involved in his battles!! You were doing so well until you fucked up. But I guess I was stupid to think you could change. It’s who you’ll always be. An arrogant, hotheaded asshole ”

His face fell and he was about to speak when I turned back to Jeff , demanding to be taken home . He gladly grabbed my bag from the floor, escorting me out quickly, taking me to the hospital first before he took me home. I had to get this checked out and fixed. As he pulled out of Liberty’s car park, I couldn’t help but pull my knees to my chest, letting all my tears free. Why.
