Phainon used to be your sun when the both of you were just little kids running and playing in the park.
But now, he felt like your kryptonite.
Phainon was an example of an exemplary kid growing up.
A social butterfly, gifted at his academics and sports, and good-looking to top it all off.
As for you, well, you were just normal. And that would have been fine, that is if you had been placed next to a ‘normal’ kid growing up.
A fortune or a misfortune, you were placed next to Phainon maybe as some sort of cruel joke fate played on you.
You were tired, you’d never hear the end of the comparisons, the lack of praise for your efforts, and your self-esteem and confidence crashing down as you grew older side by side with Phainon. You were tired of Phainon.
At one point, you seemed obsessed with being at Phainon’s side, a desperate attempt to try to reach his heights. But you never did succeed, and so, you stopped and you sank down slowly to where you felt safe, where you felt like you belonged, a place where you could be comfortable in your own skin.
You stopped looking up, and started to look at things from your eye-level.
Phainon was destined for success, as for you? Well, you're destined to be wherever fate guides you. Just not by his side.
And that's okay, because the lines you set between Phainon and you will never be crossed.
At school, you always noticed the crowd that surrounded Phainon, it seemed like he was never alone, always with someone smiling and laughing. From kindergarten to middle school till highschool, he seemed popular with everyone; peers and teachers alike.
Although funnily enough, even with so many people around him, he could always spot you in a crowd, his blue eyes flitting over to you, stars forming in his eyes, as a wider smile graces his face, pushing through people to go over to you and grasp your hand in his.
Some people around weren't stupid, they could clearly see Phainon’s feelings towards you, although… they didn't seem reciprocated as you slowly peel his hand off yours, clearly uncomfortable with all the sudden attention on you from Phainon dashing to you like a golden retriever.
Even when you tried to distance yourself from him by rejecting his offers to hang out (it didn't matter as he suddenly appeared in your room over the weekends), tried to make other friends (he also became friends with them and it turned into a group hangout instead with the attention mostly on Phainon due to his extroverted nature), and tried to avoid him at school at all cost (he manages to find you even when you're hiding in an obscure corner).
He was… like a huge cockroach that you couldn't kill or fight off.
And frankly, your exhaustion grew dealing with him.
You look left and right, behind, back to the front, behind again.
Alright, you breathe out a sigh of relief, no tuft of white hair in sight. You snuck onto the school rooftop, wanting to get away from Phainon. Eating lunch with him was tiring because at least 5 other people would join the both of you when eating, and you're not that keen to have lunch with Phainon and a bunch of acquaintances you barely know.
You find a nice corner to settle yourself in, leaning against the green wired barricade as you look down to admire the view.
With the sound of nothing but student chatters down below and birds occasionally chirping accompanying you, it truly felt like a moment of peace away from the suffocating presence of Phainon haunting you.
“(Y/N), where were you? I couldn't find you during lunch!” The moment you take one step into the classroom, Phainon pounces on you, hugging and lifting you up in the air as he looks up at you, pouting.
Used to his antics, you tap his arm, signalling for him to let you down. You didn't answer his question, making your way to your desk. He follows you behind like a kicked puppy, yearning for a second of attention from you.
“You didn't find a new lunch partner, did you?” Phainon asks jokingly as if he didn't mind you disappearing on him during lunchtime, yet his arms wrap around you tightly, like a baby koala clinging onto its mother.
Once again, you didn't answer his question, swatting his arms off you like he was a fly. A darkened expression on your face as your classmates around looked at you and Phainon, gossiping arise.
“Go back to your class, Phainon.” You simply said. Your patience was wearing thin.
The bell rung just in time, forcing Phainon to trudge back to his class, albeit a little moody.
You heard the whispers about him and you in class, berating you for being so cold and negligent towards him and all you could do was bury your head in your arms, wishing to make your presence fade into nothing.
Again, you were on the rooftop. It's been about 2 weeks since you've been here.
Ever since the day you came up here, Phainon has been waiting for you in front of your class as soon as the bell rang, rendering you helpless, unable to avoid him as he dragged you to have lunch with him.
You find a suitable corner to have your lunch in, once again admiring the view from above. Your eyes shine brightly seeing the clouds pass by slowly.
If only this peace could last forever.
So, why couldn't it?
-
You were in your third year. It was the day of your graduation.
Your plan failed in trying to distance yourself from Phainon, despite trying every method to avoid him, only running away to the rooftop every once in a while worked unfortunately.
So today, today was the day you were going to end this friendship with Phainon. After this, you (hopefully) wouldn't see him anymore often as you chose a different college from him, even to the point of studying overseas just to get away from him. You had lied to him about your examination results, saying you were going to some prestigious school in the area, and no doubt Phainon applied to the same school and got accepted. It almost made you feel touched that Phainon thought you could get the same grades as he got.
Unfortunately, that's not how this world works.
Honestly, you think you're a pretty decent person for at least ending the friendship in-person and not over text as you initially planned, after all, you've been ‘friends’ for so long. The least you could do is give him some face.
Nearing the end of the graduation ceremony, you watch as Phainon gets on stage, receiving his awards for his contributions to the school. A sense of relief welling up within you, it looks like you wouldn't have to worry about him much when you'll be overseas.
You turn around and walk out, making your way to the park where you first met Phainon.
As you stand under the shade of the tree, you lean against the trunk and look up at the cloudless blue sky.
You send him a text, saying you would be waiting for him under the tree where you guys first met, emphasizing for him to finish greeting and chatting with everyone before finding you as you had all day.
Regardless, you didn't wait a long time before Phainon appeared out of nowhere, hands on his knees panting, his face red as droplets of sweat dots his forehead.
Yet the moment he saw you, his eyes lit up once again, like he was facing the sun of his very life. It made you slightly uncomfortable. A huge grin paints his face as he eagerly comes over to you to hold your hand to cup his cheek.
You look blankly at his actions, trying to manage your look of uneasiness.
Nevertheless, Phainon, perceptive as ever, glances at you with questioning eyes, “What's wrong? You seem tense…” His voice trails off.
You gently remove his palm from your hand once again, smiling gently. The unease in Phainon grew and he started feeling a pit of dread in his stomach.
“What's- What's wrong? Whatever it is, I can fix it.” He says, his hands going back to clasp both of yours.
“Did you not get into the same college as me? It's okay! Tell me which one you got into, there's still time for applications now. I can just withdraw my acceptance from the other college.” He rambles on, his hands slightly shaking.
This problem, this silence, and the smile and slight relief on your face. (From what? Where?)
He couldn't fix it. He couldn't fix this problem like the others. He instinctively knows.
He stops shaking, feeling you once again remove his hands away from you, positioning his hands back to his side.
“Phainon. Let's end this friendship. I'm tired of being friends with you.”
-
Phainon couldn't ever remember a moment when you weren't by his side. As a kid growing up, he was hopelessly attached to you (as he liked to see it). It may have been hard to notice when you were younger but Phainon always seemed to prioritise you and give you slightly more attention than others around him.
Always trying to scamper to your side like some puppy, holding onto your hands all the time, dragging you around with him everywhere, and picking up hobbies you seem like you would have interest in so you could talk to him more- hang out with him more, play with him more. Whenever he played with other kids, he immediately felt your absence and would quickly run back to your side to sit down next to you and gaze at you as you read the book in your hands. (He was slightly jealous of the book.) He even wakes up early just to go over to your house to make you breakfast and practice his cooking as preparation when he marries you in the future and becomes your husband, and occasionally cleans up your room either when you're asleep or not around for whatever reason; steals some of your trinkets on the side for his collection too but he won't tell you that.
Even when he wasn't always by your side when both of you grew older, he often had fleeting thoughts about you when you weren't around, ‘What were you doing?’, ‘How is your day today?’, ‘Are you doing well today?’
Daydreaming about you was a daily activity for him to do.
He was ridiculously lovesick, attached to your side like glue.
And that,
That was his first mistake.
A consequence he suffered for his head being in the clouds. For the attention he laid upon you, all the things he ever did for you, wasn't enough to keep you by his side.
In the end, what was he without you?
. . .
You woke up, the door to the balcony was open, allowing you to see and hear the ever so familiar sound of birds chirping and the bright blue sky.
The clanking of chains snaps you out from your daze, it echoes cruelly in your ear.
“Darling! I bought you breakfast!”
The sun was shining brightly outside.

RUAN MEI
“Subject Delta’s brain waves are normal. Their behaviors are normal. A change in diet may be necessary however, as th— darling will you stop squirming?”
Ruan Mei sighed and stopped her recording, looking down at you writhing in her lap as you tried to get comfortable. It was a long day in the lab for Ruan Mei, nothing out of the ordinary as she just had to get through the list of reports for the week. Unfortunately, (or fortunately) for you, whenever the biologist was starting to get bored in her office, she would always call for you to soothe her boredom.
And in this case, it seems that Ruan Mei had wanted you to get out the strap she loved using and sit on it while she did her reports. You never pegged your girlfriend as the type to be into something so risqué —especially in her lab of all places— yet she was adamant on you cockwarming her while she worked.
“R-Ruan Mei I can’t…” your voice cracked as she nestled her strap deeper inside you, the girth of her cock stretching you open as slick pooled at the base of the toy. Ruan Mei had definitely noticed the sticky mess, but rather than being a clean freak and wiping it away, she gathered a bit of the essence on her finger instead. “Please move…I need it…”
“I am not finished with my recordings. We still have to go over six more stages.” She comments curtly, admiring the consistency of your slickness by seeing how far she could stretch it between her fingers. The eyes behind her reading glasses were fogged in what appeared to be pure lust. She really was lost in the sight of you gripping her strap so needily, tightening around her while your nails dug deeper into her thighs. “…What did I say about your nails?”
“Mmngh…sorry…” you could barely contain the urge to bounce on her. Ruan Mei was just too mean…
“Apology accepted. I should cut them for you later…” Ruan Mei made a mental note for herself and took one of your hands into hers, gently pressing against your nails —which had grown a bit long— and aimlessly began thrusting.
At the sharp bounce of Ruan Mei’s strap bulldozing its way in, you resisted the urge to cry out in utter bliss. Ruan Mei ignored your obvious struggle and just stuffed her fingers into your mouth, slathering your precum over your tongue and making you gag.
“I need to start again. Please do be quiet this time.”
She turns the recorder back on, the red light flashing mockingly in your face while Ruan Mei shoves her fake member deeper into your hole, back to being cold and calculating while your walls spasmed over her toy.
“This is take two.”
Tumblr media
FEIXIAO
“Don’t grip me so hard…”
Feixiao groaned and squeezed your waist as you nestled comfortably in her lap. The General thought it would be a fun idea to have you cockwarm her while she worked out, saying that she needed a “spotter,” but the General forgot to anticipate just how good you’d feel tightly squeezing her member. Maybe you’d be even more of a distraction than she thought…
“But General…you’re the one who asked me to—”
“I know what I said!”
She gave your hips one last squeeze before raising her arms to grab the bar above her, keen on doing a few chest presses while her cock was stuffed inside you. This was definitely unprofessional and dangerous by any means, but Feixiao was a strong woman. You trusted her to be able to handle herself during a workout, even if she might be distracted by your fluttering pussy.
“Alright, don’t move. Let me show you how strong your General is…” Feixiao purred and took the bar off the handles. The weights, intimidatingly massive, posed no threat to Feixiao as she pushed them up and down with no struggle. From where you were sitting, the sight of Feixiao flexing her muscles was just drool-worthy, watching as a thin sheen of sweat made her muscles glisten, the way they rippled with each pump of her arms. Not to mention how with each push of the weights, Feixiao’s cock throbbed inside you, almost as if it were aching to thrust with each rep.
You felt as if you could get pregnant just by watching her workout.
“Babe, babe…” Feixiao grunted, her teeth gritting together. “You’re squeezing me…”
You snapped out of your daze and looked down, watching as your pussy was practically clamping down on Feixiao and milking her. Though Feixiao hadn’t come yet, it sure as hell felt like it to her. “Sorry!” You exclaimed, trying to relax, though it was difficult to achieve as you couldn’t stop yourself from bouncing slightly on her dick.
“It’s…fine…” Feixiao’s chest heaved as she stared down at you squeezing her length, some of your slick pooling at her base and forming a creamy ring. “…Fuck.”
Your girlfriend suddenly lifted the bar up to the holders and set it there, carefully shimmying down so she can sit up and grab your hips. At the sudden movements, her heavy cock dragged wonderfully against your walls and caused you to let out a whine. “Maybe today should be a leg day instead.”
She chuckled and firmly grabbed your ass before making you bounce up and down on her lap. The sudden propulsion of your pussy getting pistoned by her dick had you throwing your head back sharply. “Feixiao…!”
Your beloved General simply flashed you a wolfish smile before leaning in to bite your neck, deciding right then and there that fucking you incoherent would be a better workout than chest presses. At least for today.

LINGSHA
“Yes, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible once the results come back. How does an appointment in four weeks sound?”
“Sounds good! Thank you Miss Lingsha!”
Your girlfriend smiled and waved off another customer coming to her for her remedies. However, despite her calm exterior, her thighs were quivering under the desk, all tension leaving her brow as she exhaled shakily and reached under. There, hiding just below her desk was you, pumping one of Lingsha’s cocks in your hand while your mouth pleasured the other. Just feeling the way you licked and stroked her two members had Lingsha whining and dropping her pen, unable to resist pushing your head down to bob further along her length.
“You really have no shame, do you?” She sighed, running her fingers across your scalp and moving down to tilt your chin upwards. Your eyes flitted up to meet hers, lips still suckling greedily on her cock as your hand paused its motions. Both of Lingsha’s hemipenes were erect and dripping with precum, spilling onto your lips and fingers as she resisted the urge to just take you on the table.
“Sawhy…” you said in a muffled voice, mouth too full of cock to respond properly. Lingsha just chuckled at your attempts to apologize, gently pulling you off her length so you could speak. “Don’t talk with your mouth full.”
You swallowed the saliva and precum that had built up in your mouth and groaned, clearly drunk off Lingsha’s scent now. You tried to go back to sucking her off, opening your mouth to take her in again, but Lingsha playfully pushed you away with a finger to your forehead.
“Ehh?”
“Calm down, I need a break…” Lingsha heaved, her cocks twitching with need while she steadied herself. “I have another appointment soon. I don’t want to make a huge mess under—”
There was a knock at the door, causing Lingsha to groan. “Yes, come in.” She responds, casting a glare towards you so you don’t get any ideas. You simply smile at her and lick your lips, trying to play innocent as the next customer comes inside. As Lingsha is talking however, you knew you wouldn’t be able to keep your hands off her, her cocks throbbing tantalizingly in front of you just begging for you to touch her.
It didn’t take long for you to grasp one of her shafts again and take the other one in your mouth, causing Lingsha to stutter mid sentence.
“Is something wrong Miss Lingsha?”
“N-No— nngh…everything is fine!”
Her thighs twitched as she felt your mouth engulf her bulbous tip, biting her bottom lip as she shot a messy load down your throat while the other one completely coated your hands in her cum. It was a miracle she even managed to keep quiet as she did, especially in front of another customer.
“Oh, alright then. So, I was looking for a remedy…”
As the customer trailed off, Lingsha subtly shot a glare at you from above the desk, watching as you licked up traces of her cum and cleaned her cocks up. Nevertheless, it was still quite a mess down there, but Lingsha had bigger things to worry about.
It will be a long day before her lunch break with you under there.

HERTA
“Madame Herta! Are you in there? Madame Herta?”
Furious knocks rapped at Herta’s office door, but the scientist didn’t utter a single peep. Too engrossed in showering you with affection as you sat on your mistress’ lap, all Herta could hear were the cute whines that left your throat and the lewd squelches of your cunt gripping her strap like it was the last one in the universe.
“Madame Herta! Your meeting is in half an hour!”
Herta simply rolled her eyes at her assistant’s frantic words. The other society members wouldn’t dare start the meeting without her, they could wait a little while longer while Herta busied herself with you. Yes, there’s no need to rush. Herta is just going to sit right here and have you squirm on her cock until you can't take it anymore. It had been weeks since she finally had the chance to be alone with you, and she wasn’t going to pull out anytime soon.
“…Herta?”
“Quiet now.” She tsks and drums her fingers against her desk, not even facing you as she was staring directly at the way her strap sucked deeper into your cunt. She chewed her bottom lip and noted how much slick was gathering at the base of her cock, the white ring surrounding the silicone making her imagine you cleaning it off with your mouth. ‘Her lips would look beautiful sucking me off…’ Herta wonders to herself ‘Maybe I can hide her under the table at the meeting…no, too risky. Ruan Mei would notice easily.’
“Herta…” You whine again, wanting her to pay attention to you. She was, technically speaking, but you wanted her to look at you instead of drooling over your pussy. “What is it, you needy girl?” Herta exhaled sharply, finally looking up at you and pinching your cheek. “I’m just admiring you for a second and you’re already complaining. Honestly, I should leave you here right now and not even bother to make you come.”
“No!” You exclaim desperately, clinging to her shoulders and looking up at her with big, teary eyes. Herta could be so mean to you sometimes! You just wanted her attention, and it didn’t help that she kept edging you instead of moving like she promised. “Oh, don’t look at me like that. Now you’re going to make me look like the bad guy.” Herta sighed and cupped your face, giving your cheek a small pinch. “I am merely teasing, little one. But I can see when you’ve had enough.”
She kissed your pouting, plump lips and shifted her hips, the snuggled strap on starting to plow into you at a shallow pace. The tip of the faux cock pounded relentlessly against that little bundle of nerves that had you arching your back. Oh how pretty you looked whining in front of Herta…your girlfriend had to hold herself back from reaching for her phone and taking a few photos of you bouncing. Tits in her face and your pussy creaming around her cock, Herta was starting to lose her cool.
“Mm, that’s right…bounce on my cock little one, you need to come don’t you? Come for me…” Herta gave your rear a tiny pat and pulled you in for a kiss, lost in tasting your tongue and swallowing up any moans you let out.
“Miss Herta!”
“Mmmph…five more minutes!” Herta pulled away from you with a growl in her tone, glaring at her assistant through the door as the string of saliva connecting you broke. “Tell the other members to wait just a little longer, I am finishing something important.”
Right on top of the papers that Herta needed for her meeting, she grabbed your waist and hoisted you up to sit at her desk, pounding you into the table and soiling her precious reports with your cum. She didn’t care, honestly. So long as she had proof of your private time together, Herta was satisfied.

as a fellow akechi lover, I literally live off of ur writing?? thank u for this fantastic fucking food??? if I may, could I request akechi with an s/o who is sweeter than sugar and extremely lovey? I've always wanted to know how he'd be with someone who's clearly the exact opposite of himself ^^;
Overwhelming  (Goro Akechi x Reader)

Tumblr media
It’s overwhelming.
When the doors close, you’re still smiling. When the cameras turn off, you’re still kind. When you’re alone in your room, you’re still you that he sees outside of it.
And it’s overwhelming.
Now, he lays here with you dozing off on his chest. You promised you wouldn’t fall asleep once you finally pulled him from behind his desk and onto the couch. But it’s only minutes into the hour-long documentary, and your breathing is starting to slow. Only minutes into the break you insisted he takes while you both wait for the takeout to arrive, and he knows he’ll be spending all these moments memorizing the feel of your heartbeat. Your steady heartbeat.
You’re real, and it’s hard imagining a world where you’re not.
His hands find their way under your shirt, resting comfortably at your waist as he traces tiny patterns into your skin. You’re not a secret to the world. The media knows your name. His fangirls know your school. His office knows your family. But he hates how they all know you. There’s a danger that follows him around. He knows it all too well. But not just from the fame. Not like you think, anyways. He signed his soul over to the devil when he agreed to work with Shido. And now his hands are stained red with blood he used to clean off purely for the sake of appearances. Now he looks at people and assures their safety with golden, closed-eye smiles. As if they couldn’t be next.
But that’s starting to change now that he has you. And it’s overwhelming. You’re overwhelming.
You’ll ask if he had eaten yet. If he needed you to fetch him some water. If he had gotten enough sleep. And he’ll answer you, trying not to let the mask slip, but it almost always does. But that’s okay. You’ll just give him the same smile you always give him, even in his dark ess. You’ll tell him that you understand that it must be tough being a prince. Tough being a hero. As if you’re not the one who’s saving him.
A tiny sound escapes your lips, and all of sudden, you’re shifting in his grasp. His train of thought is broken, and It’s by pure instinct alone that drives Goro into grabbing you tighter. Hands curl around your waist, his bare palm feeling the warm body on top of him, reminding him that you were still here. Still with him. His action makes you stop moving in an instant, this time letting a content sigh before tucking your head into the crook of his neck.
“Did I fall asleep?” Your voice is a quiet lull into his neck. He can feel the tiny puffs of breath escape your mouth. He can feel your soft lips brush against him as you talk. What did he do to ever deserve such intimacy? What did he do to ever deserve such intimacy that he just knows will be taken away from him? Somehow, some way. Like it always does. “Mmm, ‘m sorry Goro…”
“It’s only been a couple of minutes.” He finds himself answering back in a whisper. “You can go back to sleep if you want to, my dear. I’ll wake you up soon.”
The hum you let out is the only sign you heard him as you start growing silent once more. Not even twenty minutes have gone by since you tugged him away from the paperwork, and the mood he’s in has already shifted. He still recalls his own snarls as he sits in the dark of his apartment’s office, leading himself further and further down his path to hell. Cursing the existence of humanity and his idiot coworkers. Plotting the death of another nameless, faceless nobody in Shido’s grand scheme, just wondering when it’ll be his stupid father’s turn to look down the barrel of his gun.
Then a knock on the door sounds, and he doesn’t bother to put a smile on his face. Because he’s looking for an out when you let yourself in with a phone, the menu for the Chinese takeout place down the street, and that smile of yours that won over half of Tokyo. And you give it to him. You give that out to him. Just by saying that now would be a good time for him to take a break.
And now that he thinks about it, it’s a good time to fall in love with you too. As if he hasn’t already.
He wants to say that it’s something mysterious about you. Something that’s equally broken as him. Something that’s equally gray as him. But that’s just not true. You were raised to dot your i’s and to cross your t’s. You like bunnies and kitties and puppies and all things that make you look impossibly soft in such a dark world. You’re the first to apologize. The first to compliment too. You’re friendly with everyone you meet, and he swears up and down that you’ve never not known what it feels like to be loved. You’re charming in this sickly sweet way that practically rots inside of him. And it’s overwhelming.
It’s overwhelming knowing that he, as a monster, was never immune to you too.
Deep down inside, he wonders how long it’ll take until you’re ripped away from him. Maybe Shido will use you to keep him in check. He wasn’t too fond of Goro having you, to begin with, anyways. Or maybe, you’ll be swept away by that disgusting piece of attic trash. The stares always did linger whenever the leader of the phantom thieves lurked too close to you. Or maybe, just maybe…
You’ll walk away by yourself.
The very thought of it chokes him up. His breath stutters in his chest, and his heart starts to fill with dread. It’s a possibility. A very real, a very terrifying possibility. As much as he thinks you won’t turn away after seeing him lose his temper or yell, he knows that’s not true. Because he can curse. He can frown. He can furrow his eyes, and he can growl all because he’s in a bad mood. But that’s the Goro Akechi you know. The Goro Akechi you fell in love with. The Goro Akechi you cared for when no one else would. When no one else could. The Goro that was human.
But would you still love him? Would you still care for him if you saw the real him? No, he knows you wouldn’t. He wouldn’t want you to, anyway. He never deserved your touch. He never deserved your kisses, however shy or bold they may be. He never deserved you. But could you? Could you even look him in the eye after he told you what he really does behind closed doors?
Could you even stand to be in the same room as him if he ever told you just how many times he ignored the pleas of the ones he’d damned?
He turns his head, ever so slightly, and suddenly his nose is buried in your hair. He breathes you in, but he holds it. He holds every breath he takes of you because he knows he could lose you. And he knows that one day, he just might. You’re both just in high school. As you worry about what career you should study for, you hold stuffed animals that Goro got you and hope that you’ll find your way. But as he schedules time to study for college entrance exams, he has to fit in time to kill too.
You inspire him to be a better person. You do. You truly, honestly do. But that inspiration can only go so far when he has a job to do.
Now he has to settle for moments like these. Holding you close and holding you tight. Remember the curves of your body, and trying not to think about how perfectly you mold into his. Feeling your heartbeat. Your breath. Your warmth. You have everything you have to offer him, even as you’re off in dreamland with the light of some stupid documentary making it hard to hear your tiny little snores. It’s overwhelming. And somehow, that’s okay. Somehow, that’s perfect even.
And he thinks, it’s all because it’s you.

Lost you once

After your death, Akechi struggles to make the right choice.
Goro Akechi x Reader <3k words, angst, P5R spoilers, acceptance of death, Akechi cries a lot>
⋆。°✩⋆。°✩⋆。°✩⋆。°✩
It’s the first time he sees you in months and it feels just like the first time he ever met you.
You’re lost in the station, looking around in confusion as you try to decipher signs that don’t look familiar. You accidentally bump into him and Akechi has to stop himself from letting out a yell, to stop himself from unleashing the culmination of a bad day onto some unsuspecting stranger.
Besides, you were already terrified enough, having gotten off at the wrong stop with little to no money left on your train card.
You chided yourself while explaining the situation to him- rambling self deprecating thoughts about being stupid for not refilling your balance, for falling asleep on your original train ride, and for bumping into him from behind.
He thought you were pathetic at the first meeting. A bumbling idiot, sweating with every word you rambled out- he had to hold himself back from letting his inner annoyance leak into his eyes.
Something about you sparked something strange within him. You reminded him a little too much of who he once was. And maybe that’s why he helped you that day. Why he bought you a ticket to Yongen-Jaya. Why he sat next to you on the train. And why he let himself accept your thank you gift of a half finished pack of gum.
Akechi made a joke that just one piece would have been less sad than a half eaten pack and he could see your lip tremble at his words. Akechi chose to ignore the strange guilt that came with the sight.
Following that, you promised one day you’d give him a proper thank you gift the next time you saw him. Akechi didn’t really believe there would be a next meeting, but it didn’t hurt to entertain the thought.
It’s the first time he sees you in months and it feels like the first time he saved you.
In another stroke of bad luck (or maybe fate), you find yourself falling into the Metaverse as you run away from some creeps trying to rope you into a ponzi scheme.
You’re terrified, shaking at the surreal and unfamiliar setting of a twisted version of Shibuya. From the corner of your eye you see running figures of blacks and reds. Out of instinct you hide, afraid of whatever monsters this strange world possesses.
That’s where he finds you. Hiding in an alleyway from sentient ATMs and shadowy businessmen. You’re just as scared as the first time he saw you, even more so in fact.
Once again he finds you pathetic, shaking like a leaf in the wind. But the sight of someone like you alive in the metaverse is a fascinating one he can’t help but admire. Deep inside he wonders if you’re different from others, but he squishes that thought.
He would have just killed you there, had you not immediately jumped into his arms when he first spotted you. Even worse- you had somehow guessed his identity under the mask- claiming the surprised sound he made was the exact same as the one from the train station.
He had every reason to kill you then and there, end your existence as he continued his mission to run away from the thieves, and no one would be the wiser as to where a pathetic nobody like you ended up.
Yet he didn’t. And that might’ve been the worst mistake of his life.
Because maybe if he killed you he wouldn’t have gone to dinner with you after. Maybe he wouldn’t have taken you home. Maybe he wouldn’t have spoken more and more with you.
Maybe if he killed you then he wouldn’t have fallen in love with you.
Maybe he wouldn’t desire your touch through every hour of every day. Maybe he wouldn’t go to sleep drifting to dreams of you. Maybe he wouldn’t live the rest of his days craving your form.
And maybe if he killed you, he wouldn’t have lost you.
It’s the first time he sees you in months and the way you run into his arms has never felt so wrong.
The last time he held you, he knew it would be the last. He spent the day showering you in love, kissing you all over, holding you as to savor everything you had to offer. He wanted you to feel safe in his last moments with you, how you always felt when you were by his side.
Going into Shido’s palace, he had every intention of never coming back.
He expected you to be devastated. Spend days crying in your bed over his disappearance. Be upset, maybe even angry at the thought of him abandoning you for his selfish goals. He expected you would be devastated, but he also expected you would move on eventually. That maybe your anger towards him would turn to hate, that your upset would turn to disdain. That you would look upon his imprint on your life as a dark part you would never long for again.
It’s for the best, he said to himself. As always, he ignored the guilt that came with knowing he would cause you turmoil.
But Akechi never expected you to come to Ren, begging him to help him. He never expected you to force them to take you, for you to venture willingly into the dangerous world of the metaverse- just for him.
Akechi looked into your eyes through his red mask and saw a flash of bravery that was never there before. The spark made him stop in his tracks, pause in his monologue, freeze over as he realized the best of you only came when he was at his worst.
But the guilt is squashed as soon as Ren opens his mouth. And all hell breaks loose.
The battle between the thieves and himself is something he wishes you never saw. Seeing his humanity break, letting loose the feelings he tried to keep you safe from, his desperation to prove he was worth living-
He tried not to look at you throughout the struggle. If he did, he knew his resolve would fall apart and he’d do nothing more than cry in your arms.
As he stands beaten and defeated in front of you and the thieves, he still doesn’t meet your eyes. Even as you try and comfort him with words of love and assurance the ringing in his ears tunes them out. He doesn’t hear your chiding, your cries, and he certainly doesn’t hear the first “I love you” towards him that slips past your lips.
As he accepts his defeat and his own inferiority, he notices a familiar presence creep out from the shadows.
The foul words that his shadow spits out make Akechi want to claw out of his own skin. Towards the thieves, towards himself, towards you- horrible words and terrible truths fill the air. Things he tried so desperately to hide from you.
His killings, his past, his life as a living puppet for Shido to toy with as he pleases- all of it is laid out for you to hear.
He notices the pistol attached to the shadow’s waist and recognizes the glint in his empty eyes. He swallows the defiance that rises from his throat, the part of him that wants to prove the monster in front of him wrong. Through it all Akechi realizes this is where he dies.
Acceptance is what causes him to raise his own gun towards the him in front of him.
And when his gun raises, you run.
It happens in a flash.
Two gunshots.
One towards him, one towards the button to raise the wall that separates him and the thieves.
Two people move.
You push him out of the way, he falls to the ground.
One wall.
And he can’t see you anymore.
Laughter in a mockery of his own fills the side of the wall inaccessible to him, descending in tone as they slowly disappear into the floor along with the source. Your shocked gasps and painful winces follow in turn.
He screams until his throat is raw, pounding at the wall as he tries to claw his way to the other side. He promised your safety, not this.
You speak to him the best you can, over the pain in your stomach and the agony in his heart. Shakiness lines your voice as you chide him, telling him to shut up and listen to you. Through your sentences you cry. And you let out the second “I love you” directed towards him, and the first “I love you” he actually hears.
By the time he can reply with his own declaration you don’t have it in you to answer. And despite his acceptance of his own death just seconds prior, acceptance at his own survival makes him want to do nothing but scream.
The months that follow leave him hollow, an empty shell at who he once was. He watches from the sidelines as the thieves save the world. He watches from the streets as Maruki makes a mockery of Tokyo.
And Akechi watches as you cry into his scarf, scared and terrified just as he remembered you to be the first time he met you. He holds you and he knows this isn’t supposed to be. He shuts his eyes tightly, squeezing your shaking form.
Akechi brings you to Ren because he doesn’t know what else to do.
But Ren’s changed. There’s a new sense of melancholy that’s settled in his soul, different from the overwhelming grief that’s taken over Akechi’s. The first words he speaks explain everything about this ‘new’ him.
“So this is what he meant.” Monotone. Void of all the underlying confidence and ego he used to carry himself with. Filled with nothing but acceptance of something the two of you cannot comprehend. Ren urges the two of you to come inside Leblanc and sit with him at a booth.
Akechi takes the inside of the seat and you grasp his hand as you sit down. After a moment of silence you’re the one that chooses to speak first.
“Why am I here?” The crack in your voice makes Akechi want to shatter.
You look up at Ren and your eyes plead in desperation for an answer. Akechi can’t help but look away, staring at the table as he refuses to bear witness to the cruelty of your situation.
Ren sighs and twiddles his thumbs on the wood. “Maruki came by yesterday. He offered me something in exchange for allowing him to merge mementos and reality together. I-”
Akechi sees red and stands up, letting go of your hand, pointing an accusatory finger towards Ren. “So you let this happen? You allowed him to do this?!”
“I didn’t! But I woke up this morning and everything… Everyone was different. All of my- our friends are somehow in these idealized, contradictory lives. It doesn’t make any sense… And I- I don’t know how to fix this.”
“And why aren’t you the only one affected huh? He offered you something but you’re still here-”
“It’s this. He offered me this.”
The walls of the cafe seem to dissipate as you soak in the information Ren just revealed. Akechi quiets, eyes widening as his hands fall to his sides. Ren looks away, a grimace finding itself on his features.
“I just wanted you to be happy, both of you. All of us. You shouldn’t have been involved from the start y/n. I- I shouldn’t have brought you with us and I regret it every single fucking day. It was my fault, I’m sor-”
You reach over the table and place a comforting hand on his own. “Please don’t apologize.” Despite the sadness that laces your words you’re smiling.
Ren returns your smile with a solemn one. He turns to Akechi, “When you disappeared after it felt like that dream was as good as gone. I didn’t know you were even alive until today…”
“So by bringing me back Maruki thought that would…”
“Fix us…” Akechi cuts in and his hands are shaking. The anger that claws up his body is familiar. It’s visceral, and he still refuses to look at you. “That bastard…”
The two of you leave Leblanc shortly after, accepting an invitation to come back tomorrow to discuss the situation further with Ren. The streets are quiet as Akechi leads you home, holding your hand but not looking at your stare.
“Goro…” He doesn’t need to meet your eyes to know you’re looking at him in pity. “I…” Your hesitation makes his throat close. Are you scared of what he might do? Are you thinking back to the last time you saw him angry? The last time you saw him ever?
“I… don’t want you to accept this reality.”
“What?” The smile that finds itself on his face is a front for his disbelief. His eyes are closed despite turning towards you and that makes you frown.
“Look at me, Goro.”
He doesn’t want to. The last time he stared at you up close was the morning of your last. The last time he looked in your eyes was moments before your passing. The last time he looked in your eyes was the day a part of him died.
But your hand gently grasps his chin and forces him to drown. He can’t stop the tears that fall from his eyes as his eyes finally meet your own.
“Reject this, please…”
Akechi doesn’t say more because if he does it’ll be a verbal acknowledgement that you weren’t supposed to be here. He doesn’t say more because if he does he doesn’t know what’s going to happen to you.
He was supposed to be your protector, but he’s reduced to a shaking child desperate to cling onto the one source of love in his life. The more you take him into your hold the more he crumples, letting out sobs in a reply he can’t bring himself to speak. He must look pathetic, he thinks to himself.
“I-”
Your hand comes to his head, caressing his hair as he cries. Through sniffles and hiccups he allows himself to hug you back.
“I’m so, so sorry,” His voice is lined with water as he feels himself begin to grovel.
“I know,” your voice is soft yet all it serves is to intensify his turmoil.
“I don’t want to lose you again, I-”
“It’s alright.”
“Is it selfish that I want to say no?”
You pull away from him, holding him by the shoulders and looking up at him with your wonderful, shining eyes.
“It’s not selfish Goro. It’s just love.”
You kiss him, and your lips are just as soft as he remembers them to be. The same lips that would bring him out of nightmares and darkness. The same lips that would manifest a sense of love for himself that never existed without your presence. It’s innocence that lines your movements, just like the innocence that has followed you since the first day he ever met you.
When you draw back to take a breath he finds himself chasing after you in desperation. His hand comes to your chin as he tries to pull you closer to him, to try and merge your souls so yours can’t escape from his again.
There’s a sick feeling in his stomach that if your lips represent innocence, his represents the ever growing darkness seeping out from within him. With the merger of your love, Akechi doesn’t want to know if the product is something that can withstand what has to come next.
His lips supplement all the words he refuses to say. They pour apologies into your being and with every movement he hopes you understand just how much he missed you and how much he needed you.
When you part you’re panting, staring up at him in awe and wonder and it makes him want to sob.
“I…” Akechi wants to move away from your gaze, from any possible judgment he feels you may let out. Ironically, it’s the intensity of your look that keeps him chained to eye contact. “I cannot live in a world without you.”
“But you have to.”
He can’t bring himself to say that he knows but you know it’s there anyways.
“It’s going to be okay Goro.”
“How do you know that? It hasn’t been okay since… I haven’t been okay since.”
“I know because I believe in you,” your thumb rubs his cheek, red from the cold and tears. “I know you think that what happened is your fault but it was my choice Goro. You can’t take that away just so you can deny yourself the chance to live.”
The shine in your eyes is unmistakable. The same look you gave him before he never saw you again, bravery. Akechi grabs your hand because he knows what’s going to happen next.
“You can’t do this,” he chokes up, “You can’t sacrifice yourself again for me.”
You take a step back, still holding onto his cheek and looking at him with those incredible, shining eyes. “I love you, Goro.”
“I love you too. I love you, I love you, I-” He hopes if he repeats it enough it’ll convince you to stay.
“And because I love you, I can’t stand to see you this way.”
You kiss his cheek for one more time and whisper in his ear.
“Live your life Goro. Help Ren and save the world. And when we see each other again, tell me everything,” your lips leave his cheek so gently it's like you were never there.
“I will, I promise, I promise you I will,” his gaze glosses over as he takes in all of your form. Your warmth, your eyes, your kindness, your lips, your bravery, your smile, all of you. Akechi closes his eyes and there’s a silent I love you that doesn’t need to be said.
The embrace of your arms dissipates, his hand closes around nothing, and all that’s left in your wake is the glitter of sparkle and shine. It’s the last time he ever sees you in this life, but it’s nothing like the first time he lost you.

Ryoji, a being of death, the one who will end the world.
All he has known is endless darkness, and the times where he had consciousness, he was attacked and sealed.
And then he met you, and he cared for you.
Even when he didn’t remember, he was drawn to you; his special one.
You, who is full of life despite being pulled into these events, continued life with your head held high.
You who held out your hand to him and befriended him.
But he wanted so much more, and yet…was he even real? Could he touch you?
He was death, he would only bring you pain.
…but he yearned for you and your touch.
And wasn’t that that most frightening part? You having the power to make even death yearn.
And that’s why he gave you the choice.
To allow you to forget.
He would remember until the end, but at least you wouldn’t remember the pain of these memories.
So when you chose to not kill him?
A part of him knew this would be the result.
A part of him was grateful.
But who knew? You would forsake it all?
To be by his side?
You had always surprised him.
The Life to His Death.

Right from the moment he met you, Sakusa Kiyoomi knew he hated you.
You don't know how many hours Sakusa would be thinking about you.
He hated the way you looked at him like a sweet, innocent bunny. Eyes wide like you're oh so curious about him.
He hated the way you acted, weird, awkward and a mess when you were around him. But whenever you're with the others, you act like you're the bravest person around.
He hated the way he found himself rushing over to someone. His whole body was hot with anger after they made you cry. He hated the way your tears fell from your glassy eyes. He hated the way you stopped him from killing that person.
He hated the way you touched him, always feeling an electric spark, every single time. Might it be the brush of your fingers or a simple hug from you.
He hated the way you came to his games. All of them, without fail. You were there in the crowd. He hated how he started looking for you in the masses at every game.
He hated the way you kept him up at night. The way he couldn't sleep, thinking about that face, that oh so gorgeous face.
He hated how you made him feel like he was the most loved man in the entire world. How you showered him with so much affection and love. How could you? Sakusa was just...him.
Why put on so much effort for a man who would barely reciprocate what you're doing? Why? It made no sense to him.
But how he loved you.
Small little things. You noticed this. How he bought you all of your favorite things. How he knows which meal you like from every restaurant you've went to. How he had red ears every time he talked to you.
Sakusa also hated...no. he loved the thought that he was right here, on one knee proposing to you. The sparkle in your eyes as you jumped on him after saying "Yes!" With so much enthusiasm and almost screaming.
He loved it when your eyes crunched up after telling him a joke. Your curious eyes was actually a hint of mischievousness.
He loved the way that after less than a month, you were no longer a stuttering mess, but a flirt who always looked in his direction. He loved how you were the bravest person he knew.
He loved the way you would defend him, no matter what happens. Always on his side. Even though sometimes it was wrong. He loved your unending support.
He loved the way he was always aching for your touch. Always finding himself rested on your chest, fiddling with his hair.
He loved the way you were cheering him on at every game. Eyes always softening after he found you in one of the seats. You always tried to get the best seat, get a front row view of his performance. He loved the way he felt like he could win any game as long as you're there.
He loved the way he wakes up, you lying on his chest, snoring away. The sun shining through the windows. He loved admiring you. Every inch of you.
He loved you. And he'll make sure you are the most loved individual in the entire world. All simply because you deserve it.
Right from the moment you met, Sakusa Kiyoomi knew he was in love with you.

You liked to think you weren’t one to fall into stereotypes. But every once in a while you did something that reminded you that you weren’t different from everyone around you. Like right now, standing hidden behind the corner of this building, clutching an obvious red envelope in your hands, waiting for the volleyball team to shuffle out of their club room so you could sneak in and slip the envelope into a certain boy’s locker.
So you had a tiny little crush on everyone’s favorite boy, Oikawa Tooru. Sue you.
Your ears were on high alert, staying as still as possible so you could focus on the voices drifting out of the room. You were a bit farther away, since you wanted to be hidden, but if you strained yourself enough, you could make out the sounds. You tried not to make yourself tense, afraid you would wrinkle the envelope. You had been so careful with it. Making sure you didn’t smudge any words as you wrote, perfuming the paper afterward. You even used that expensive wax and seal that you bought only for journaling purposes. You wanted it to be known that you made an effort.
All for him.
It was hard not to fall for someone as charming as Oikawa. He was tall and handsome, he was always so nice, always welcoming to anyone who wanted to speak to him. He was beyond talented. You could watch him play for hours. You did watch him play for hours. At the end of the day, you were just like all the other giggling, blushing girls who admired him.
The only difference is that you had never gone farther than admiration until now. You had never spoken to him, never greeted him in the hallways, never made him anything to eat like girls often did. You had watched from afar and basked in the warm, bubbly feeling that comes with having crushes.
But now here you were, slipping him a letter with all your feelings written on it. You were going into this not expecting him to accept the confession. You hadn’t even put your name on it. It was anonymous. God knows how many of these he got on a daily basis. And with Valentine’s Day approaching, you were sure his locker was overflowing. What was one more, right? You were doing this for yourself more than anything else. You needed to get these feelings out because they were overflowing in your head.
You were shaken from your thoughts when you realized the locker room was completely silent by now. You listened closely, giving it another few minutes. No shuffling, no humming, not even a peep. The coast was clear.
You could feel your entire body shake as you turned the corner and stealthily hurried to the club room door. You couldn’t let anyone see you going inside, so you quickly opened the door, slipping in and sliding the door shut behind you. You let out a sigh of relief.
Then you turned around, and your eyes met wide chestnut ones.
Oikawa was standing next to an open locker, a half folded shirt in his hand. He had probably been mid fold when you had barged in, staring at you with those big browns, mouth slightly open. Thick silence stretched over you both as you stood frozen, not even blinking.
Oikawa’s eyes drifted down to your hand, the very obvious, deep red envelope. His lips twitched before a smile took over them.
“Hello there.” His voice was lively. “Is that for me?”
You tensed at the sound of his voice, your panic finally catching up to your brain as you gulped around the knot in your throat. “No!”
He raised an eyebrow at that, tilting his head a bit. A lock of his hair fell over his forehead. “No?”
“No.”
Another silence, awkward as anything. You couldn’t move at all. You felt like you were frozen in place. Every muscle in your body was pulled tight. You had never anticipated that of all the people who could catch you in the locker room, it would be Oikawa himself.
“So who’s it for?” He then asked, eyes darting between your face and the envelope. You felt your face burn, heating up so much it made you dizzy.
“It’s-” Your mouth was so dry. You had no saliva. None. Not a drop. It felt like you were incomprehensible. Could you even speak? Or was it all gibberish? Were you spiraling now?
Oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god-
“It’s for Iwaizumi-san.”
Oikawa blinked at that, and you realized you had caught him off guard. Well, he wasn’t the only one. You had caught yourself off guard too. It seemed that, in the midst of your panic and staring at Oikawa, the only other person you could name was Iwaizumi.
Iwaizumi Hajime. Oikawa’s best friend. Seijoh’s ace. Someone you saw just as much as Oikawa considering they were attached at the hip. No wonder when you had to think of someone, you thought of him.
“Well now I’m truly shocked!” Oikawa sounded jovial, placing a hand on his hip, his half folded shirt crumpled in his other hand. “A confession for Iwa-chan? I never thought this day would come!”
Your mind raced and you tried to scramble your thoughts together into somewhat understandable sentences. But you had just dug this fresh hole for yourself and you didn’t know what to do to get out of it. In fact, at this moment, there was no getting out of it. You had to go along.
“Y-yes.” You managed to blurt out, not knowing what else to say, looking anywhere but at him, who was steadily growing more and more amused by the second.
“You have to give it to him!”
Your head snapped up, and that’s when you realised what true panic was. What you had felt so far was nothing compared to the shitstorm your brain was experiencing after what he had just said.
“Come on.” Oikawa threw the shirt carelessly into his locker, slamming it shut and fast walking to you. With one grip on your forearm, he tugged open the club room door and proceeded to speed out of it, dragging you with him.
“W-wait!” Your voice trembled, and you doubt he even heard you. You felt like your whole mouth was stuffed with cotton. You tried to lock your legs into place and break Oikawa’s momentum. It was not happening. He was way stronger than you. You tried to pry his hand off your arm, but his grip was vice-like.
“Oikawa-san!” You basically shrieked like a hyena, finally breaking through right outside the Seijoh gym. You snatched your hand away.
“I can’t!”
Oikawa stared down at you, blinking owlishly. You bit your lip.
“Oh.” He breathed, and you saw realization wash over his face. You froze. Had he figured it out?
“I get it.” Did he?
Then he promptly turned around and cupped his mouth with his hands, leaning in through the open gym doors.
“Iwa-chan!” He shouted.
You gaped at him, struggling to even comprehend what was going on in his head. But that was the least of your worries, because trudging footsteps sounded and then the boy in question was standing in the gym entrance, scowling down at his friend.
Oh no. Oh, this is bad. This is so bad, I’m so screwed-
“Look!” Oikawa pointed at you, or more accurately, he pointed at the envelope in your hand. Iwaizumi followed his gaze, and you saw his scowl drop as shock colored his features.
“It’s for you! Can you believe it?” Oikawa let out a cackle, leaning an arm against the gym door. You wanted nothing more than for the ground to open up and swallow you whole.
Iwaizumi looked genuinely incredulous, like this was something he hadn’t dreamt of in his wildest dreams. Later when you looked back on what happened, you would be surprised that despite being friends with the most popular guy on campus, Iwaizumi did not get much attention. He lived in Oikawa’s shadow, and he liked it that way.
Right now, his feelings were the least of your concerns though.
Finally free from Oikawa’s grasp, you lunged forward, slamming the envelope against his chest before turning on your heel and absolutely booking it. There was no other option. You couldn’t give that shit to Iwaizumi. You also couldn’t give it to Oikawa and say you had lied. It couldn’t get any more humiliating than it already was, so you might as well run away.
Very active fight or flight response, one might say.
Oikawa watched your back as you ran full speed, one hand holding the envelope he was so unceremoniously handed. He turned his attention down to it when the flowery scent hit his nose, and he couldn’t help but smile.
“Aw, she perfumed it too! How romantic.”
He grinned up at Iwaizumi, whose ears had turned red. Iwaizumi’s scowl deepened as he stared at the shiteating grin on Oikawa’s face. But he didn’t stop himself from taking the envelope Oikawa handed to him, his heart doing jumping jacks in his chest.
………………..
When you tried to convince your mom that you didn’t really need high school when homeschooling was a perfectly viable option, she told you to suck it up and there was no way you were dropping out. You didn’t know how to tell her that your life in high school was pretty much over. How could you show your face in any place where you might run into Oikawa or Iwaizumi?
But alas, you could only take one sick day before throwing yourself back to the wolves.
You were jumpy the whole day, paranoid that somehow everyone knew what had happened two days ago. But your day went by as normal, unaffected by the storm in your head. You should’ve known your peace wouldn’t last. At lunchtime, the one person you had been dreading the most was standing before your desk, looking down at you expectantly.
“I was hoping we could talk.”
Well. This was it. The one thing you were hoping and praying you could somehow avoid.
Iwaizumi led you outside for some privacy, finding an empty bench overlooking the school’s running track. You sat stiffly by his side, waiting for him to speak.
“I read the letter.”
You closed your eyes and nodded, coaxing him to continue. You knew the contents of the letter. You had mulled them over in your head ten thousand times yesterday. You had not written Oikawa’s name. You had talked only about how you felt about him and the thoughts plaguing your head. You knew how easily Iwaizumi could have thought it was about him and not Oikawa.
“I’m sorry.” You blurted out.
“For the confession?”
You hesitated. “For how it all played out.”
That was vague enough.
Iwaizumi let out a breathy chuckle, and you looked up at him. “I think I should apologize instead. Oikawa can be a bit of an insensitive jerk.”
You felt your lips twitch into a smile, shrugging. “He kinda steamrolled all over me.”
Iwaizumi groaned, running a hand through his spiky hair. You followed the movement with your eyes, gaze pausing on how his bicep flexed. Something in your heart stuttered.
Up close, he was extremely attractive. His skin was smooth and clean, and his hair looked soft despite being so short. His jaw was defined and his eyes were striking. When he looked at you for longer than a beat, it made your insides squirm.
“I’m sorry about him. He told me he found you in the club room. I’m sure you wanted to do it anonymously. He shouldn’t have dragged you here. That wasn’t cool.”
You smiled at how considerate he was being. “It- It’s okay.”
“And I’ll make him apologize to you too. Promise.”
His lip ticked up in a crooked smile. You couldn’t help but stare. You watched him grow a bit nervous, rubbing the back of his neck. A little habit?
“I was wondering if you would like to have dinner with me sometime?”
The question caught you off guard. You knew how Iwaizumi perceived you after the contents of that confession. You had just not anticipated that he would want anything to do with you. In your slurry of thoughts, you realized you had still not told him that the confession wasn’t for him. You stared at him, wide-eyed.
The sun beat down on your heads, casting harsh shadows on his face. High cheekbones. Strong jaw. And those same captivating eyes. You couldn’t remember ever appreciating him the way you were right now. Oikawa’s light was so bright it made Iwaizumi almost invisible. But here and now, it was just him. No distractions, no takeaways. Just Iwaizumi in all his glory. And it was making your heart skip.
“Okay.” You breathed.
Iwaizumi positively lit up at your words, straightening his back. His features smoothed, his eyes widened and a smile took over his face.
“Cool!” He blurted out, before clearing his throat. “That’s uh, I mean. Great. That’s great.”
You giggled as he stumbled over his words, endeared by his reaction. Your heart and mind both told you this was the right decision. With Oikawa, it was a puppy crush. With Iwaizumi, something told you it could be so much more.
Years later, when you told Iwaizumi about the exact intentions of that letter, and how you were beyond grateful you hadn’t given it to Oikawa, all he did was cackle while the Argentinian setter whined about how he had missed his chance.
He was joking, of course. He was the proudest best man ever at your wedding. He wouldn’t have it any other way.

I'll make a gold medalist out of you! // i am once again asking you to please read medalist it's the best manga that so few people are reading right now ❄🧊
the story excels at depicting kids learning and thriving in a supportive environment, the value of hard work over talent, and pushing your limits to achieve your dreams. inori is not only competing against the other figure skaters, but against herself most of all. medalist always hits so damn hard ⛸

Ayato Aishi as your boyfriend HCs
Tumblr media
□ He's very, very sweet. Like, tooth-rottingly sweet. This guy speaks all five of the love languages.
□ He remembers everything you say. Everything. Partly because he cares about you so much, and partly because he listens to everything that comes out of your mouth.
□ He is always looking at you and watching you, even when you think he isn't. It catches you off guard when you tell him something you did without him, and yet he somehow knows how it went.
□ He loves physical intimacy. He's always playing with your hair, stroking your cheek, holding your waist with one arm, or clinging onto you in various other ways.
□ Speaking of being clingy, he is always needy and clingy. The thought of being apart from you for longer than a few hours sends him spiralling into panic. You remember losing internet service for a couple of hours while on a trip and by the time you got it back, he had sent 235 messages and 86 calls.
□ He's an extremely jealous individual. He has to know who you hang out with and when. He has to know the nature of your relationship with other people. If he doesn't approve of these people, he'll probably cook up a plan to sever your ties with them or get rid of them himself.
□ He is completely willing to isolate you from everyone, but because he has always felt a bit bad for his father whose world only revolved around his mother, he decides to give you a little bit of freedom. But don't test his patience, because you might just end up living the rest of your days in his basement.
□ Ayato, although indifferent to everyone else, cares so much of what you think of him. The more unstable your relationship is, the more anxious and insecure he gets. Clear his doubts and let him know he's the only one.
□ He will literally do everything and anything for you.
