The main reason why I opted for the Create a Monster body and not Venus body is because the tail hole meant I could sculpt a custom shell onto a wooden dowel and have it be removable for doll clothes.

I did debate on wholly recreating the gown and shell body of the prototype but I figured if I was making these full scaled dolls, I would readjust the designs so they would fit better with the fashion doll play aesthetic.

For the bug girls, I really wanted them to wear some of my favourite Monster High pieces so I did try to keep in mind in making them as easy to dress as possible.

I really liked Catrine's dress as the lines feel like an abstracted slime trail and the pink CAM Blob girl shoes contrast nicely with her green skin.

I'm really happy how she turned out because I was really captivated by her design even if I tweaked it to more my own tastes.
