After a superb weightlifting session this evening, I got my arse back in the kitchen and cooked myself a nice meal. Wild mushrooms risotto with @eatlean @eatlean_es grated #proteincheese. I’m slowly getting back to eating according to my macros and my fitness goals. Still not in the mood to cook though. What better way to get back on track without prepping and cooking than having a @performancemeals fitness meal? Ooooooooh I haven’t made this in a very long time! But today I just couldn’t get it out of my head, I just HAD to make it. Indonesian Chicken Satay with Bami Goreng (fried noodles). Didn’t sleep well at all last night, knowing that this morning was going to be a very tough one, on all of us in our CrossFit community. We lost a beautiful soul way too early and saying goodbye was one of the hardest things I’ve done in a very long time. I wasn’t hungry either but I know I need to fuel my body and don’t eat crap just because I feel like crap. For breakfast I had a toasted wholegrain thin with two triangles Laughing Cow light, with an egg sunny side up, and a small side salad, dressed with @nutriful SF FF Tomato Balsamic vinaigrette. Another Peaches and Cream Overnight Oats today for pre workout meal. I really found out the hard way that I need more than just drinkable carbs, to perform better at weightlifting. Another NTD again 😞 where I’m saving the little carbs that I have for work. A simple scrambled egg white with 1 whole egg, a toasted breakfast thin topped with 2 triangles Laughing Cow light will have to do for breakfast. With 18C/9F/30P it’s not too bad.
