Artist Statement - I have always thought that the snow was so beautiful when it fell for the first time each year. I was lucky to have it had fallen when it did so these pictures were made possible.
With this small series of pictures I aim to get the viewer to think about the scenery. The message it displays is open and I expect people to interpret it differently.
These photos evolved because of Mother Nature herself, before the snow I had decided to use paint to use on the trees and since then the snow has came and I felt that the snow really emphasised the whole ‘blank canvas’ aspect that I was aiming toward. When I put flowers in these photos, I placed them to tell a story. All of this being said I really enjoyed this project and how it made me grow as a Photographer.
I hope that everyone can enjoy this narrative just as I have, and really interpret this into a story so it’s more than just a picture.
