well, that definitely made sense. still, she hates how that's the way things are — hates it even more to know that it wouldn't bug her so much if she was a gorgon too, cause then it wouldn't be a problem. but enid keeps the smile on her face, trusting ajax's words. "i do think i tend to come on a little too strong. guess i have to turn it down a notch around them."

"Oh, it's nothing like that." He's quick to reassure her, frowning slightly that she would think one of his own wouldn't like her. "They all really like you, it's just... Remember when I told you how gorgons are taught not to engage? I think they're just a little wary about getting to know people."

a bit of a non-answer, as always. maybe it wasn't a very comfortable topic for wednesday to speak about just yet — tyler was technically her boyfriend, no matter how messy and miscommunicated and short-lived the relationship was. "would you visit him if he was... you know, okay eventually?" she purses her lips to the side, letting a beat pass before adding, "i'd totally come with, of course — if you want me to."

Most of the time, Wednesday humored herself as one to know the outcome, even without the visions. But now, with the impending sense of dread rattling in her stomach, she couldn’t exactly put her finger on where the next chapter might go. “I suppose I have a few theories,” she looked up towards Enid, brows furrowing together ever so slightly. “My mother always believed that the way in which people mold you with their company is never erasable, a smudge on your soul for the rest of eternity.”

"yeah, totally," enid says with a smile of her own. her fingers twitch at her side, hesitating for a second, before she reaches out to hold his hand in her own. "so, it's... not that i've heard anything or whatever, but your fellow gorgon friends like me, right?" there was an attempt at a conversation with one of them the other day, and while she wouldn't say they were rude, they weren't really... friendly either. "or are they like... kind of disappointed you ended up dating a werewolf?"

"Yeah, of course," the gorgon smiled. "And you know I'm always gonna be there for you too, right? Like, whatever you need." Ever since he and Enid started dating, she made his world just a little bit brighter, whether it was her quite colorful wardrobe or her wonderfully sunny personality.

enid beams at her cousin's praise, smiling so wide that she's positive her cheeks would ache from it later on. she's not sure if her parents or any of her brothers would be so receptive about the unique little quirk of her wolf form, but she was glad there was someone in her family who seemed to like it. "thanks, kerr. that means a lot," she says, expression turning slightly bashful. "you mean wednesday? well, she's same as always — weirdly unfazed after everything and still kinda gloomy."

and enid was maybe getting better at reading her room mate, but it was still hard to tell if she was secretly feeling something else. "oh! but there has been progress on the hugging. i don't think she totally hates the gesture now."
