actually let me explain this a bit more

basically huch was standing around outside spawning grounds just chillin and then mr grizz appeared behind her and it cut to them in a facility that kind of looked like rocket 1??? and then mr grizz ripped her eyes out and sew on salmonid ones (they just looked like normal fish eyes and they were also like 4x the size of her normal eyes) and she was very stressed out bc she couldn't see anymore (grizz commented that he forgot to attach the nerves or something) so they were just running around screaming frying fetal position etc. and then grizz was about to give them a salmon tail and then I woke up and went. wtf

kind of reminds me of the roen dream but unlike that this is never gonna actually happen in cannon I cannot possibly think of any reason why it should be cannon

i had a dream that huch got kidnapped and they replaced her eyes with salmonid eyes so she was just laying on the ground wallowing and crying :(

i have decided smolt and tetra will not be in a relationship it wouldn't make sense anymore. they were in the og version of this story I forgot why but I changed something and now it doesn't make sense

actually I remember now it's bc I put tetra with the salmonids and huch when I reworked this. he was literally just some guy in the desert before this

actually SHE because tetra was originally more feminine and used she/her. and I think she was nb

idk what's going on with now tetras gender now actually I think I said it used he/it in a post but I genuinely forgot about it using it/its I thought he used only he/him but I like he/it so it's gonna stay

I gotta tell the original story of these splatoon ocs. some of them (cough ceph captain sunni and 8) date back to splat 2 and were named shit like TOAST and PANCAKE (those guys are now ceph and captain) so you can tell how good my storytelling skills were lmao

honestly this story wasnt the worst thing ive created because it stuck so much to canon. it was canon but random other characters would show up sometimes. But there's always worse I still think about original ANOS. og ANOS was completely trash HAHAHAHA but that's a story for main blog

I honestly think tetra and smolt should have switched names. it might get confusing but the only reason tetra is named that was because I don't remember he just was named that. most of my splatoon ocs names kind of relate to what they do (which is why smolt is named that. he research salmons)tetra is a completely random fish with no relation to the octoling. I think one of the names I thought for him at first was cichlid or piranha which both work better I think. because I don't really think I should swap his name with smolts it would be confusing

oh yeah tetra is venomous like irl blue ringed octos. the only reason he doesn't poison (ik venom and poison are different I can't think of the word for putting venom in something) the grizzco employees he sees is he also has to wear protective gear when he goes out to fuck up grizzco which means hes limited to weapons
