Hello I'm tipsy and I love Dedue Molinaro and you're gonna hear about it.

Dedue Molinaro, who is so fucking smart and good at reading a situation. The guy who always sees right to the heart of other people's motivations. The guy who correctly guesses what the enemy is up to when their movements seem to make no sense, the guy who cuts through the Lions' bullshit and sees exactly why they act the way they do. Dedue whose insight is invaluable whenever he offers it.

Dedue Molinaro, who is so brave and so determined. Dedue who, like Edelgard, went through the most fucked up shit imaginable and decided that he was going to strap on some armor and pick up an axe and personally see in a better world with his own hands. Dedue who, unlike Edelgard, wasn't born for any of it, but chose to make a difference anyway. Dedue, the perfectly normal human who walks fearlessly onto the battlefield alongside literal superhumans and is the bravest and most steadfast and reliable of them all.

Dedue Molinaro, who is selfless and kind, even when it's hard. Who is gentle off the battlefield, whose hands nurture flowers and craft food that sustains his loved ones. Who is determined to better the lot of his people no matter the personal cost, who bears the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune always with his eyes on a brighter future for the people of Duscur.

Dedue, whose pain is as profound and deep as any of his allies, who was formed by trauma as much as anyone else, whose reaction to it was to need to do something about it. Who needs, emotionally, to not be the only one to walk away from the tragedy that defined his life. Who as much as Dimitri needs to have saved just one person out of that nightmare, who cannot bear to be the only one left who was there. Who chooses at every opportunity to do the hard thing, because it is the right thing.

Dedue Molinaro, who understands that things can't be simple and easy just because you want them to be. Who works tirelessly to have his humanity recognized by the people who would dismiss it, and by extension, to have the humanity of everyone like him recognized. Who lives in a place of discomfort, that forces the Faerghan people who would like him to simply go away to look him in the face and feel that discomfort themselves. Who will not be sidelined or silenced or quietly go away so that the people of Faerghus don't have to grapple with what they've done.

Dedue Molinaro, the kindest, bravest, best of the Lions, the most indefatigable, the stalwart example of a lion-hearted man. I adore Dedue Molinaro, and you should too.
