yes I’ve read that too (amazing loved it!) but I was thinking of another AU where they don’t even get to the point of becoming close friends and more bc events get in their way so it takes them another 3 years to start that journey

with the end of AWY imminent ( 😢) there’s this idea I’ve had where Viv and Beth don’t get close as friends at the end of 2021/early 2022 bc Viv leaves arsenal in Jan. so they part as good friendly coworkers but they secretly wondered if there was more. They stay in contact over the next 3 years (and date others) but each wonder “what if” bc of their connection then Viv comes back to arsenal and they become close friends etc Also my fave line from one of my fave shows might get inserted somewhere where one asks “why are you still single?” And the other responds “because you never asked me out”. Anyway just a random thought 😊

fyi for anyone copying tiktok links, you need to remove everything after the ? (so the link should be quite short really). if you press ‘copy link’ in the app it adds all kind of trackers to the end of the link which then does show your account to anyone who clicks on it

unsolicited update on this is is i’m no longer convinced i have a malignant brain tumour. however, whenever i have a horrible bout of anxiety i get a really stiff neck and then i get awful dizzy spells, so… the cycle starts again

ok! i’ve been feeling kinda off recently which has been absolutely awful for my anxiety, though. v much looking forward to my little trip away this weekend so i can convince myself i do not, in fact, have a malignant brain tumour

it was really nice :) we went down south a bit where it’s still actually cold, since winter seems to have given up here. did some hiking and wineries and had a fire and all the fun things!

how to tell when you’re reading an ai fic??? i feel dumb hahaha

disclaimer that this is just what i’ve noticed and any of these on their own (or even together) aren’t necessarily indicative of anyone using AI! and accusing is not cool!

- as someone else said, repeated but slightly reworded sentences back-to-back

- names randomly being off (similar or totally random) with no acknowledgement

- really overly verbose or descriptive dialogue and prose that still feels kinda empty/flat, especially when things are described with an amount of excessive detail that makes no sense. dialogue that drags on and on and every single line of speech comes with a description

- random tense changes/errors with positioning/location changes/narrative inconsistency WHEN there are no other errors like typos etc. though this is obviously common in non-AI fics as well

- character descriptions that are clearly not based on the real person - not adding a new spin, but that contain odd details about hair/eye colour etc that don’t align with the real life person

- a specific phrase that is often *describing an action* followed by *like… xyz* where the action is either re-described or a totally useless metaphor is used. this is a classic gen AI sentence structure for some reason.

I feel like they weren't for one big announcement just for letting people use their eyes and be like omg what is this” it was really surprising/unexpected as they weren’t even proper friends before so i’d like to see it!

I feel like ur right it would be similar to other early viv and beth stories if it was continued buttttt I fear we do all love early viv and beth and there could totally be some new ways to write about it!

- I'd love to see beth and viv's first time again, but after getting together properly and with more of a focus on after, and them chatting about it maybe?
