I love how the plural for sheep is sheep and there's no separate singular form. as though there's no separate word for individual sheep because there's never just one sheep, one sheep is an aberration and gets depressed and sick from the allostatic load of being a sheep, singular. sheep are properly always sheep like water is water or rice is rice and they only get named individually for procreative purposes, a ram or a ewe or a lamb. mass noun mode animal. absolutely geographical.
