This was going to be my summer project but it's been a weird year. Plans changed, routes altered and just a lot of uncertainty (ex: My boss died while on the road at the beginning of our season). I only made it as far west as Lethbridge and I think Swan River to the east (south was Louisiana). The deadlines made stopping for more than a minute or two difficult as well. Fingers crossed next year will either be different or I finally get out of this (far too often gawdforesaken) business and just take road trips for fun again.
Anyhow, for the signs that aren't super clear and/or where they're located, there are descriptions in the alt image text.

Unfortunately this time of day isn't great to try to take an updated picture with a cell phone. One of these days, I'll be going through Marshall/Lloyd when it isn't snowing, the vegetation is dead or the sun is shining right behind.

Into the Woods - A Hockey RPF Cabin Fic Fest

There’s a surprising lack of cabin fic in Hockey RPF, and that needs to be fixed. If Instagram etc. are to be trusted, about half the league spends their off-season fishing on a lake or stomping through the wilderness, and those stories need to be told. So, without further ado, it’s time to go Into the Woods for a cabin fic fest!
Details are on AO3 here!

I see we're back to crossing boundaries of normal human behavior again. Let me know how shrieking like a howler monkey at him in his dms, once again based on the flimsiest of "evidence", gets him to see your point of view. Truly.
#jamie benn#you are not his friend#you aren't even a passing acquaintance#what is wrong with some of you people#web 2.0 was a mistake#someday they're going to write volumes about this moment in history about how we've collectively lost our minds#and forgot how to human being#i almost wish talk sports would come back just so some of you had an outlet for batshit crazy

The reason why I mentioned Lloydminster (besides Holtby's ties to that community as well) is because of this mural on a train bridge just as you're heading out of town.
I've taken a few pictures of it over the last couple of years and unfortunately because of the times of the year I'm usually passing through, it's either dreary or just after the spring melt so this is probably the best picture I have of it.
