Martin woke up tears streaming down his face it was just a nightmare then it hits him no it wasn’t just a nightmare Martin can’t help but let out a sob he had been glued to the television following the heist with absolute devotion

But then he heard it. Andres de fonollosa was shot dead during the sting operation... the words become white noise to Martin the word dead echoing in his ears dead it hit him like a truck his heart shattered right there as he watched the tv his soul leaving his body.

Martin hadn’t known what happened after that, time went by like a film only playing in black and white their was no point in living anymore he drank to forget.

Forget how he had wished for him to come back how he had hoped and stayed up begging for that call or that knock on the door but nothing happened he had been left broken with only swollen lips the taste of Andres lingering on them.

Why did he have to fall in love was what Martin asked himself maybe if he hadn’t fallen in love Andres would still be here and it ate at him knowing that Andres wouldn’t have died.Andres wouldn’t have left to go rob the mint and that they would have melted gold together

Martin lets out a chuckle he remembered when he had said that to Andres all those years ago ~yo te propuse fundir oro juntos~ he had sounded so desperate anything so that Andres wouldn’t leave but there was no choice when Andres made up his mind he set to it

But that decision had led to him dying and Martin living alone and broken in Palermo, Italy for years until Sergio showed up at his door waking Martin up from his drunken state
