sister/opposite signs

you might think that opposite signs - the ones across (geometrically opposing) from each other in the sky or in a chart - would clash and argue, having nothing in common. but while they're certainly not clones of each other, i think this is a completely incorrect way to look at it. sometimes you will hear these called sister signs instead of opposite signs, and i think this is a useful way to frame it.

part of the reason these pairs of signs tend to get along well is they will share a modality and a "gender" of their element (i try to avoid gendering my astrology but this is an instance where an archaic system like that can actually be useful).

for instance, gemini and sagittarius are obviously different in many ways but they can also be easy to mistake for one another sometimes. both of these energies want to always be moving, always doing something, they are always thinking, sometimes they are so blunt it hurts. or cancer and capricorn - one is super nurturing and one is often much colder, but both of them are GOOD with money, both of them are good with building a long family legacy, and both end up being the family historians or ancestor venerators.

So the thing about "witchcraft" is that there's no set definition of the term or comprehension of what it is. There are individual people who have very rigid ideas of what is and isn't witchcraft, of course, but (as much as they might wish they did) these people don't speak for everyone.

it sure can be. 12th house stuff is often dreams and forbidden things. but it doesn't have to be, if you don't like it you can find other relationships with more positive 12th house themes! but 12th housers sometimes actually like that kind of stuff. and the dreaming about each other likely goes both ways, depending somewhat on the planets in question and what the other person's house is there.
