Hello kids, I'm your problematic godmother. This is my Razia's Shadow blog where I will be posting both Pallikias and gen work/content. If you dislike Pallikias, feel free to block me/blacklist the ship, as I do post more than just that (and will not be posting NSFW). Welcome to my blog, and feel free to shoot me a message!

Headcanon: the light and dark have different versions of the myth of ahrima and the lamps
- in the light’s version ahrima was just a man and not an angel that was gifted powers by the angel nidria, who fell in love with him. He decided to create stars to show his love for nidria. Nidria is seduced by the spider, barayas, and falls in love with him. This angers ahrima so he destroys the stars. And then the rest is basically the same as the first act.
-since ahrima himself lived in the dark and passed down the story, this version is more accurate to the first act in the musical. Over time the “lamps”(which I headcanon to be stars) are mistaken for actual lamps since people in the dark find the concept of natural light(the sun and stars) ridiculous
-toba the tura, in the light, is portrayed as a peace maker and judge. While in the dark, toba is seen as a fierce warrior
-in the dark’s version the Oracle came ahrima in a dream, while in the light the Oracle has a physical form.
#yes!!!#someone who agrees with the stars headcanon also!#good headcanons#i live for this kind of thing

I think most of the townspeople in the dark are skeptical that there is even anything on the other side of the mountain, everyone who has ever explored there has only seen a big body of water. It’s mostly some of adakias’s family who believes there is a kingdom of light so they keep anyone from going over the mountain. Pallis himself even believes.
While over in the kingdom of light, it’s common knowledge that the dark does exist, though there may be a few who might think the people in the dark died out a long time ago. Their logic is that since there’s no light there nothing can survive for long.

Incest ewww
Is that about my blog or answering what I had asked about my fanfiction??
Well, I appreciate the feedback either way, aha. But it doesn’t really answer if you would read the gen version of it, but that’s fine. Thank you for the feedback!

Some Razia's Shadow Headcanons
-The Dark is a small society of entirely men and VERY old school monarchal
-Translucent skin and tattoo tears on both Pallis and Adakias???? 1000%
-The Lamps are the stars (while this conflicts with a line in 'It's True Love' I still hold to this)
-Adakias is a douche-canoe, albeit a lovable one
-The Narrator is Pallis, post main events (therefore making Adakias seem like a better person, telling the audience it's their turn to pass along the story, making the King seem greedy when we know he's not, etc. etc.)
Feel free to reblog and add more, I would be very interested to see how people interpret the story!!

Hey Razia's Shadow Fandom
I'm writing a new fanfic taking place after the main events of Razia's Shadow, just kinda about how Pallis is dealing with it and throws in 1000 of my own headcanons.
I'm stuck between making it pallikias because I enjoy it, or making it gen so that other people can read it too if the shipping is icky for them. I'm a few thousand words in, but I just can't decide on this.
I don't know if it will matter, anyways, because if someone knows what my blog is about (from the name even, really), they might not read it on principle. Thoughts? Would you read a gen fic even if I was the one who wrote it?

I'm remembering when that one blog was making a bunch of discourse about pallikias and myself in general because they saw that I existed and hadn't posted anything yet, so they were trying to 'prevent an uprising' in the razias shadow fandom. I'm hollering.

My Razia’s Shadow blog is my most active, and while it doesn’t have as many followers as some of my others, for the ship I endorse and the fandom it is in, I consider it to be a huge surprise that I even made it above five followers! So shoutout to you silent shippers that follow me but aren’t active, hopefully I can hunt down and provide good content for everyone.
And for those gen fans! Razia’s Shadow is an amazing masterpiece and I hope to be able to provide to you as well.

the post you wrote justifying yourself with "lyrics" is so... ludicrous. theres a huge difference between two women who are very clearly and explicitly in love being called "gal pals" and two siblings, related by blood, in the same kingdom, being called "brothers." the constant repetition of brother is just how those characters speak/refer to each other, a sign of formality due to their strained relationship. incest isnt cute
Hey there, thank you for the message! Are you talking about that post that talks about the overuse of the title of ‘Brother’ in Razia’s Shadow? Well, see it was originally meant to be a satirical post, because I still get people who ask things like “you know they’re brothers, right?” Which that to me is what’s ludicrous, because anyone who’s listened to Razia’s Shadow even once knows that Pallis and Adakias are brothers due to the amount of times it’s told, as I said in that post. And I’ve analyzed the lyrics multiple times, so it’s safe to say I’ve listen to it at least once. Yes, I know they’re brothers. The post was mostly meant as a jab at that, not really concrete evidence of something more. If you’d like real analysis, I made another post here.
I’d actually like to refute your statement on their “strained” relationship, however. While I do believe it is just how they talk to each other, I will say it again that I think that Pallis and Adakias had a very positive relationship before the events of the second act. I don’t think their relationship was strained, moreover Pallis was the protective older brother who didn’t see eye to eye with Adakias, who felt as though there was something more out there for him. Pallis was a good brother, and we know this because of what Adakias says:
“Dear Pallis, you’re my brotheryou’ve loved and watched over me…”
Pallis knew what it would be dangerous for Adakias to go to the City of Light and he was upset when Adakias didn’t listen and tried to leave anyways.
“Brother you are shortsightednaive and starry-eyed.You are not the chosen onethis will be your demise.”
“You are so foolishthe dark has been your homeif you elope I’ll hunt you down, through suffering you’ll atone.”
And he threatens him without any real intent. If he loves Adakias (regardless of how you see their relationship) then why would he threaten him? One might ask. The more you love someone, the angrier you can be with them, which is known. So yes, Pallis threatens Adakias because he loves him. Now, I will also say again that I don’t think Pallis followed them to the Doctors’ with the intent to kill Ahnura, it seemed more of an act of passion that led to Adakias’ fated demise.

If anyone would like me to delete anything I reblog because you're uncomfortable with the content I post, please just send me an ask or message in private as to not make a huge deal of it. Be polite, be civil, be mature rather than acting condescending towards others as you in no way have any special rights as the artist. I will always respect the artists' wishes, though not without telling them to step off their high horse if they are unnecessarily rude. Basically, if you would like me to take something of yours off my blog, ask politely and privately and don't make an ordeal of it. You may block me to prevent further incident, and I will block you as well.
#txt#important to note#this isn't to be rude just be nice to everybody even if you don't like what they do

So I’m still thinking about the fact that people don’t think I know that Pallis and Adakias are brothers, because I and other people ship them. In Razia’s Shadow, we’re told they’re brothers directly and many more times than necessary; I don’t think it’s even possible to miss the fact that they’re related due to the amount that it’s pointed out. In fact, I would argue that it’s mentioned far too many times to be normal. Nine times, to be exact, I’ve counted here.
“In the Dark lived two brothers…”
“Why can’t you be more like your brother?”
“Dear Pallis, you’re my brother…”
“Brother, you are short-sighted…”
“Brother, I can’t help this feeling…”
“Brother, NO!”
“Brother, what have I done?”
“Dear Pallis, you’re my brother…”
“Brother, I was shortsighted…”
That may not seem like a lot initially, until you consider that fact that they’re only even mentioned together in three songs, two of which being duets. In the beginning of specific emotional lines, they refer to the other as ‘Brother.’ Now I’m not saying this means anything really, I initially set out to do this because of the amount of messages I get of people asking me if I “know they’re brothers” (which is ridiculous now that’s you consider the effort I’ve poured over these lyrics for a former post and the fact that if you’ve even listened to the musical at the least once before you’d know they were brothers due to the nine whole times it’s pointed out). But the amount of times it’s said is excessive, to the point of ‘gal pal’ in my own opinion.

A very perceptive draw from the song! Though I think I’ve already covered the fact that they’re brothers in a previous post, but you may not have seen it. No worries though! If you’d like to give some more in depth discussion and actual interpretation of the lyrics and characters then I’d be happy to hear it!
So I have a question for all anti-pallikias/neutral people in the Razia’s Shadow fandom! Just some discussion here, I’m interested in know. Here’s something a little thought provoking; I want to know your interpretations of the meaning!
In The End and the Beginning, what does Pallis mean by “You’re a fool to think this princess could ever really love a couple of poor boys like us…” and why all three of them were singing the line: “Place your hand on mine, one last time, and kiss me goodbye. Take the love inside my mind, before I die.”
I mean, obviously as a shipper interpret it in the favor of there being something more with Pallis and Adakias, but what about your thoughts?
