Hello, I'm Corgi! I go by pallysuune on Ao3. I enjoy a lot of games and media, with a current focus on Warhammer 30/40k and Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader.

Trying to force myself back into writing. Reader X cringe is always easier than a formal story for me. The question is: Talos or Dante?

The fact Rushal was a captain keeps me up at night sometimes.
Did all of his men die in battle at Istvan and that’s why he decided it wasn’t worth it anymore and defected? Was watching the people he was supposed to lead through danger die the final straw that made him consider if the Imperium was really worth fighting for? How long did he defend their bodies before he was realised no one was coming to recover them? Did he take their corvia to remember them by? Did he get to keep them?
Or did some of them survive and never really got an answer to what happened to their Captain Rushal, one day were they quietly split up into separate units without so much of an explanation and even now whenever they get the chance to talk it feels like they’re being watched? How long did it take for one of them to go digging and realise it was for the best they were never told? Do they want revenge on their traitorous captain? Or do they believe that he was taken and hold onto hope he could be rescued one day?
#i have so many headcanons#but some of this is stuff i never even thought about and need to kick around some more#alastor rushal#his men -at least his closest most immediate men- dying aligns pretty well with the bitterness i headcanon him with#hmmm

To answer the like 5 different asks I've gotten for saying Night Lords and Konrad have eye whites (white sclera, if we're being fancy); yes they do. It is never said that they have black sclera. What is stated is that Nostraman Night Lords have iris-less black eyes that are more sensitive to light (giant pupils, basically) and non-Nostraman Night Lords have blackened irises that create the same look as the Nostramans.
Firstly, let's start with Konrad, in his own primarch novel:
A lot of black, but still white in the corners, which means, kids, his eyeballs are in fact white and you'd see more of them if he was giving a good side-eye.
Now, let's move on to Nostraman-born NLs with everyone's favourite Murder Medic, Talos Valcoran in the Night Lord Omnibus:
This is a very basic colour comparison. Hers are hazel, his are black. They are not stated to be all-black, they are simply black. It's a very straightforward bit of comparative writing.
Once again, a very straightforward description. His eye is black and devoid of an iris. It's a giant pupil. For those who go "Wait! It's clean and black! Does that mean-" No. It's clean because it's being compared to his other eye, which is fucked up and nasty.
Now, let's look at the comparison points between Nostraman and non-Nostraman NLs, which are pretty clearly shown in Child of Night:
We can clearly see that the eyes and skin of all Night Lords are so similar that they are, by the admission of NL librarian Fel Zharost, fair to compare. The differences lie, among other things, in facial structure and light sensitivity, because -
As stated in Prince of Crows, Konrad's gene-seed creates a uniform eye style by blackening the iris. Not turning the sclera black. Blackening the iris. It means that, while Night Lords look the same, Nostraman-borns dislike light more, because their eyes have giant pupils.
Finally, I direct everyone to official remembrancer art of Jago Sevatarion (a Nostraman-born):

In conclusion: No, their eyes are not entirely black. Okay? Okay.
#this is genuinely such a small thing in the greater scheme of fandom stuff#but as a RG and a NL lover its always been a pet peeve of mine.#xS

Nonnie,
I've got the ask, I'm so sorry. It's not too much, and I will answer it I promise. I've just been away from Tumblr with real life things, and the hyper focus worms aren't playing nice with RT at the moment. I'm really, really sorry. I genuinely mean that.

Tag Game
Tag your moots and friends to ask where their nickname came from
thank you @fenlirias for tagging me, I'm sorry it's taken me so long to respond. I really should check my tumblr more often. XS
My name here is pallysuune, and it's pretty simple. In world of warcraft, I used to main a paladin named Suune. Suune's just a random name I made up.
I go by Corgi often because I had a corgi. I always used a picture of him as my pfp, and eventually, people started joking that I was a corgi, and that just sort of spiraled from there. That's it. Pretty simple. :D
Uuuh... I think everyone's done this tag game now, soooo.... Oops. XD

Rogue Trader Positivity Week
I haven't been very active in a while, and I apologize for that. I'm also sorry for being a little late on this. Life has been lifing lately over here. But I ca'nt let this occasion pass me by.
The Rogue Trader fandom, with some exceptions, has been one of the most welcoming and most encouraging fandoms I've ever had the pleasure of being in. I've met many wonderful people here, and I've seen some utterly amazing works of art, both visual and literary. I am truly thankful to have been a part of this fandom and, even though I am not as active as I used to be, I look forward to being a part of it for a long time.
Below the cut, I wanted to address a few specific people. If I don't mention you, please don't take that as a knock against you. As I said, I haven't had the time to be as active as I like, so there are many, many wonderful people who have come into our fandom that I haven't had the time to get aquainted with yet. I hope I can remedy that in the future.
@holylustration - What can I even say? I started out as a fangirl when reading your works, and since then I've continued to be a fangirl, but I've also gotten to be your friend and that is more than I could have ever hoped for. Holy, you are amazing. Talented, creative, supportive, and a great influence on our corner of the fandom. You're an inspiration to a lot of us. And I will always be happy that I got to 'meet' you here online and be friends with you.
@skolas-a - You are such an amazingly talented artist. I've always loved getting to see what you create, Skol, and I've always had such a fun time getting to write for Elena. You're another person who's been a great influence on the fandom, and instrumental in bringing a lot of us together.
@redbatchedcumbermayned - I don't even know where to begin, honestly. You're a fantastic writer, and anotehr person who's always been a positive and encouraging force here. On top of that, the effort of bringing people together for fandom readings, showcasing people's writing, and giving us all a place to show off and experience each other's work is a beautiful thing, and I'm so happy that you and Holy have kept it going.
@maggotknight - Finn! You're wonderful. You're such a good, positive influence on things, and your drawing style is so cute. I love how unique it is to you, and I always enjoy seeing the things that you draw and doodle. You've always been such a supportive person. We're very lucky to have you.
@fenlirias - I have always loved your art. Your style is so elegant and almost surreal at times. It makes me happy to see your art whenever I spot it. And your love of Achilleas makes me so happy. There isn't nearly enough art of either him or Kunrad in the fandom, and I'm always excited to see what you do with them.
@jaal-ama-daravv - I couldn't make this post without mentioning you. We don't know each other very well personally, but the contributions you've made to the fandom through organizing the gift exchanges is amazing. You've helped a lot of us meet each other, and interact in ways we wouldn't have otherwise. Thank you for all you've done.
There are so many other amazing people that I know I'm forgetting. Please forgive me that. But the fandom wouldn't be what it is without all of the wonderful people who contribute to it and have kept it going for so long. Thank you all for that, and thank you for allowing me to be a part of it all. <3

i am FULLY against the sentiment that we don’t owe anybody anything. we owe people common decency. we owe people respect if it has been given to us. we owe people apologies & explanations when we hurt them. i don’t care.
