I think the reason no criticisms of Superman 2025 are landing with me is that the movie is just how comics are.

A little too much was going on. You're expected to have a feel for the universe and characters already. It's corny. The political allegorys were heavy-handed. All correct statements, and all how comics are. I went in wanting a comic book movie, and that's exactly what I got.
