Guysss
My 22nd birthday is coming *real soon*
Any recommendations as to what I should do? To celebrate? Small and big things both are welcome
Something nice I could get for myself??
Any whimsical ideas? I read some people write a separate set of resolutions on their birthday ( cute stuff like smile more, wear your favourite perfume often and stuff like that)
I am someone who ends up getting really sad on my birthday for some reason or the other. I would like to try and avoid that this time around
Do lemme know please <3

iris by goo goo dolls really is insane though. I'd give up forever to touch you? you're the closest to heaven I'll ever be? all I can breathe is your life? and I don't want the world to see me cause I don't think they'd understand? when everything's meant to be broken I just want you to know who I am? does anyone hear me.

The trope where people don't recognize each other because it's been so long since they last interacted and they've both changed so much that they're basically strangers UNTIL one of them does their Signature Thing™ and the other just stops dead because oh. It's YOU. All at once it's so clearly you

You're not actually a better friend for not articulating and respecting your own needs, limits and boundaries. Your lack of communication and boundaries is not some impressive sacrifice. You're not doing anyone any favors by acting like you're okay with things you aren't okay with. You're just building burnout and resentment that will eventually damage the relationship in question. And when you eventually snap and walk away because you silently overburdened yourself to be a "good friend", it won't be the other persons fault
