*Boats in a storm*
We are all navigating a storm, but not in the same boat
The waves may capsize yours while gently rocking mine
Or vice versa
For some, quarantine is a moment of reflection, of re-connection. Easy, in flip flops, with a glass of whiskey in hand
For others, this is a desperate crisis
Some experience it as loneliness and isolation
Others a time of reconnection with family and friends
Some lament the absence of a brand they love
Others worry about bread for the weekend, or if the noodles will last a few more days
Some work in their "home office"
Others have lost their homes and offices
We criticize those who break the quarantine
But some have no choice, they have to pay the bills.
Others choose to escape. To their country homes or favorite vacation destinations
Some have experienced the virus, some have already lost someone from it, some are not sure their loved ones are going to make it
And yet there are some who don't even believe this is a big deal
Many are getting vaccinated. Some have faith in God and miracles. Others lack faith in science
Some think the storm is passing, others think the worst is yet to come
So, friends, we are not in the same boat. We are in the same storm. How we perceive it depends on the boat we are on
And when the storm passes, each of us will emerge, in our own way. Some stronger, some unscathed, some scarred, some on a stretcher, and some will not make it.
It is very important to see beyond our own experience
Do not underestimate the pain of others even if we do not feel it ourselves
Do not judge the good life of one nor condemn the choices of the other
Let us not judge the one who lacks, nor the one with possessions
We are all simply on different boats
Letâs navigate our routes with respect, empathy and responsibility

Someone nicely explained the irony of our present predicament ...
â Never have I seen
such a mess in life .
The air is pure but
wearing a mask is
mandatory .
Roads are empty
but it is impossible
to go on long drive .
People have clean
hands but there is a
ban on shaking hands .
Friends have time to
sit together but they
cannot get together .
The cook inside you
is crazy, but you cannot
call anyone for lunch or
dinner .
Every Monday ,
the heart longs to go out , but the weekend does not seem to end .
Those who have money
have no way to spend it .
Those who don't have
money have no way to
earn it .
There is enough time
on hand but you can ' t
fulfill your dreams .
The culprit is all around
but cannot be seen .
A world full of irony !
Be positive but test negative . â

Beginning our CMCO again (Klang Valley) after a relapse from RMCO. The 3rd wave is no fun. Most Klang Valley residents work from home from 22nd Oct 20.
Another feature of the Malaysian's life was the inconsistent and haphazard ways SOPs are being implemented. Then the worst will be the enforcement of SOPs and pandemic laws. The saving grace comes from the good civil service and civil servants at the Health Ministry. Otherwise, we will be much worst off.
Here are a collections of funny yet serious list of the bad and ugly side of the pandemic experiences by the folks here. Have a laugh then pray. (Writer/s unknown)
âThe Malaysian Coronavirus"
The COVID 19 HYPOCRISY ...
Covid 19 is a Virus that is Educated, a very Smart n Clever Virus.
Based on Government announcements, we know that : -
It won't infect people at a wedding, unless there's more than 15 people. And it also won't infect anyone at a funeral, as long as there's not more than 30 people. So not only can the virus count, it can also differentiate between a wedding and a funeral.
This Virus owns a watch and can tell time. It does spread in pubs, but only after 10pm and not before. So, it's safe to go to pubs before 10pm and not after 10pm.
It also only infects if you're in a group of more than 6, but not at weddings or funerals where it's 15 and 30 people, obviously.
Masks do work, that's why people will be fined for not wearing them, but not in pubs, because as already discovered, the virus doesn't infect pub goers until after 10pm.
You can also safely remove your mask at a crowded eating place cause the Virus is polite and won't attack when you are eating.
But don't remove your mask before food is serve, as the Virus will attack if it sees you without mask and not eating.
Cinemas, gyms, etc are also immune from the virus coz the virus can't afford cinema tickets or gym memberships.
It also doesn't like travelling in boats, so crowding on the Langkawi express is safe. The Virus will be seasick and cannot harm anyone on the crowded boats.
Schools where kids gather in large groups are also immune as the virus doesn't like learning. So you are safe without mask in the school, but those same large groups of kids can't meet up outside of school cos that's when the virus will get them as it waits outside the school gates.
The elderly should be isolated and protected from the virus unless they are needed to babysit their grandchildren.
So grandparents can't see their grandkids socially as it's not safe, but can babysit them coz the virus knows the difference between wanting to see grandkids because you love and miss them (which the virus hates) and having to see your grandkids out of obligation (which the virus is fine with).
The virus will definitely get at you at home too if you meet up with family and friends in a controlled environment, but not in a pub where you can meet up with those same family and friends in an environment you can't control with many other strangers... well at least up to 10pm anyway.
The virus also sticks to specific postcodes, this is why some areas have stricter rules than others.
And once you cross the border, the virus will not follow you.
The Virus attacks those who do not queue for public transportation, so you see everyone practices social distancing and queue. But once inside the Buses and commuter trains, then you are fine to be crowded because the Virus won't attack as it hates travelling in crowded public vehicles.
But once you get off the crowded public vehicles, then you are not safe again in private vehicles and cannot travel in the same car coz the Virus doesn't like those not from same address travelling together in private cars.
Oh, and political gatherings are perfectly fine in large groups regardless of any rules. Coz the Ministers sets the rules, and the Virus obeys the rules.
Prisoners are fine to be crowded and since they are in prison, the Virus doesn't like criminals, so they are easily infected and social distancing is not important for prisoners.
If it's a big rich, fancy restaurant, you can sit as many people to a table, and fill all the tables but if it's a Kopitiam or Mamak, you only can sit two to a table, and every alternate table is to be empty. The Virus cannot afford to enter those posh restaurants.
It only dislike the poor and attacks if more than two are at a Kopitiam table. But if you are only two or single person, the Virus will avoid you. It sees you as lonely and so will avoid you.

Everything Is âSuddenlyâ .....
Suddenly, we slept in one world and woke up in another. Disney has no more magic and Paris is no longer romantic.
Suddenly, in New York everyone sleeps. And the Great Wall of China is no longer a fortress.
Suddenly, hugs and kisses become weapons. Holding hands and walking the parks become outlawed.
Suddenly, not visiting aging parents and grandparents becomes an âact of loveâ.
Suddenly, our bombs and machine guns, our tanks and artilleries begin to gather dust.
Suddenly, we realized that power is with God alone. And that money has no value when it canât even buy you toilet paper.
Suddenly, we have been put back in our place by the hands of the universe.
And weâve been made aware how vulnerably âhumanâ we truly are, when faced with a microbe so powerfully inhumane.
Suddenly we realise that things we used to think so important to us is not now

After listening to some pretty harsh comments & arguing over reopening or completely shutting down for another two weeks, someone in their right mind wrote this.
Donât know who wrote it, but itâs spot on.
Perspective:
WE ARE NOT IN THE SAME BOAT ...
I heard that we are all in the same boat, but it's not like that. We are in the same storm, but not in the same boat. Your ship could be shipwrecked and mine might not be. Or vice versa.
For some, quarantine is optimal. A moment of reflection, of re-connection, easy in flip flops, with a cocktail or coffee. For others, this is a desperate financial & family crisis.
For some that live alone they're facing endless loneliness. While for others it is peace, rest & time with their mother, father, sons & daughters.
With the weekly increase in unemployment some are bringing in more money to their households than they were working. Others are working more hours for less money due to pay cuts or loss in sales.
For some not getting on with Family, domestic abuse is rife...we never know what goes on behind closed doors.
Some were concerned about getting a certain candy for Easter while others were concerned if there would be enough bread, milk and eggs for the weekend.
Some want to go back to work because they don't qualify for unemployment and are running out of money. Others want to kill those who break the quarantine.
Some are home spending 2-3 hours/day helping their child with online schooling while others are spending 2-3 hours/day to educate their children on top of a 10-12 hour workday.
Some have experienced the near death of the virus, some have already lost someone from it and some are not sure if their loved ones are going to make it. Others don't believe this is a big deal.
Some have faith in God and expect miracles during this 2020. Others say the worst is yet to come.
So, friends, we are not in the same boat. We are going through a time when our perceptions and needs are completely different.
Each of us will emerge, in our own way, from this storm. It is very important to see beyond what is seen at first glance. Not just looking, actually seeing.
We are all on different ships during this storm experiencing a very different journey.
Realize that and be kind.
