Osamu Kashiwagi is Daigo Dojima's Biological Father

This isn't explicitly canon but with some faceapp comparisons, some theories, etc. it's very hard to refute. Please take a look at all the evidence I've compiled before making your own final judgement.

Daigo's mother is Yayoi Dojima and his father is Sohei Dojima. As you can see in these photos Daigo does resemble his dad but mainly just in the jawline and the similar choice in facial hair. His eyes, lips, nose, etc. seem to be mainly from his mother's side. His hair texture is also most similar to his mother. Comparing how Daigo and his father acted as a patriarch also shows Daigo's leadership qualities fall more in line with his mother's. With that in mind, Daigo is obviously quite the mama's boy and takes after her more, regardless of my speculations.

Enter Osamu Kashiwagi (please don't mind the photo collage he is my favorite and I created it in a love drunk craze).

As you can see he is tall, dark, and handsome with a mysterious energy. Throughout the entire franchise he has decidedly been a supporting character. At one point in the story he even supported Yayoi since she was inducted as interim chairman of the Tojo clan in the absence of Terada. He has close ties to Yayoi, Daigo, and of course Sohei himself.

I am a woman of science and so out of curiosity I decided to download the face app and do some very scientific facial comparisons.

This is 12 year old Daigo. As you can see he is quite the baby.

My thought process is that if I face mixed Sohei and Yayoi together I should get something very similar to baby Daigo. These were the results:

Uh...something is off. If you ignore the mild uncanny valley-ness of all of this in general you can definitely see that these hypothetical boys don't look like baby Daigo that much. Similar lips and noses but the jawlines, hair, etc. is just a little too off.

Here is a face mix of Yayoi and Kashiwagi:

Obviously still not perfect but now, now we're getting somewhere. These hypothetical boys look more like baby Daigo than the other ones. Still not concrete proof but it makes you think, doesn't it?

Another thing I noticed was from scouring the wikis. There is no height on Yayoi, but after doing a little research she would have to be between 4' 9"(145cm) or 5' 7"(170cm). Keep in mind 5' 7"(170cm) is freakishly tall for a natural born Japanese woman.

And this is Daigo's (this is not doctored in any way, this screenshot is straight from the wiki):

The wiki obviously isn't entirely reliable but most of the heights are accurate, if not a couple inches (cms) off. In any case, let's say Yayoi is 5' 7"(170cm) just like Sohei. That would mean that Daigo should be the same height, give or take. Yet somehow he's 6' 1"(185cm)...just like Kashiwagi.

At this point you're either convinced or not at all. Here is my last bit of evidence on the topic.

To create this post I had to look for quite a few pictures of Daigo and Kashiwagi. I found it pretty difficult to find any pictures of Kashiwagi in a perfect, straight portrait. Almost every photo I could find of him he has his head cocked to the side slightly, like a curious dog. It was getting annoying until I moved on looking for images of Daigo. What did I find? Quite a few photos of him doing the exact same thing.

Keep in mind Daigo is 31 in his photo and Kashiwagi is in his late 30s in his (they never explicitly say his age).

Maybe the dev team just reused Kashiwagi’s animation for Daigo, or maybe they were trying to say something without spelling it out, but whatever the case may be you have to admit...these are some very odd coincidences.

Same height, same build, same hair, same mannerisms down to the way they cock their heads, they even knit their brows together the same way, and choose to slick back their hair and ruin their hairlines in the process. 

Even if you don’t agree he’s Daigo’s dad, you have to admit that perhaps Kashiwagi had more of an influence on Daigo than we previously thought. Maybe behind the scenes Kashiwagi was the adoptive dad Daigo needed and didn’t realize he’d had the entire time. Who knows? This is a theory, a game theory, thanks for reading.
