A member of the Future Foundation shouldn’t have been as casual in walking into the practical lair of a Despair as Hijirihara was. However, that didn’t stop the young man from strolling in, hands half stuck in the pockets of his pants, criticism at the ready.

“ Hey, fuck you, dude!! ”     Priority-wise, it seemed that ‘insulting machines’ ranked much more important that the fact that a Future Foundation douchebag had just meandered into his lair like it was nothing. Souda’d been busy, too — draped over his lap was a cookiecutter shark, which would have looked unmistakably real if not for the exposed bits of wires that he was fiddling with.

Souda had to strain his ears to understand what this nobody was saying; he was on the ground, after all, while Souda was perched atop his monstrous tank  ( affectionately referred to as ‘Misa-Misa-chan’ in conversation. )  And the crackling fires of... well, what was a city certainly didn’t help things.

“ Hmm. ”     He made a show of running his tongue along the serrated tips of his teeth in mock-thought — as if this was something he’d need to actually consider! He tossed a worryingly small human skull from one hand to another, his actions laden with carelessness. He couldn’t care less if it broke. Who gave a fuck about babies, anyway?

“ I’ll tell ya what, Makoto Naegi-chi!! ”     He bared all his teeth, pressing his elbows onto his knees and leaning forward, losing interest in his plaything and letting it drop, splintering near Naegi’s feet.

     “ Bring me seventy two virgins that ain’t never tasted cock, and we’ll talk!! ”

He figured he’d let the ‘’gaudy’ thing slide, if only because the sentiment was so pot-and-kettle that acknowledging it would be like explaining the punchline. Instead he ran his tongue along the pointed tips of his teeth and simpered.

Of course he was quick enough to know what was happening before it actually happened. He saw the glint of light against soaring metal from halfway across the room — and he flinched involuntarily  ( old habits die hard! )  But he didn’t do anything about it; he let the tool smash against his cheek with an excited hitched breath. A flurry of delighted noises escaped his throat, and he brought a hand up to touch the point of impact — just to make sure he hadn’t only fantasized about it.
