But seriously, I think it's more likely because he clocked the fact that He Yan was a little oblivious about it (Xiao Jue's feelings)

But honestly, I crack up everytime Chu Zao and Xiao Jue have a subtle passive aggressive argument about how He Yan likes me all the while as it completely goes over her head, and she's like, "aww you big babies, I'll buy more sweets for the both of you!"

The scene with Chu Zhao saying to his mother’s tablet “I will bring her to meet you” caught me off guard, to be honest.

I was under the impression that the guy understood that he didn’t stand a chance. Sure, he made some weak passes at He Yan but I thought he was aware that there was absolutely zero response from He Yan’s side.

Bro, aren’t you supposed to be a smart scheming politician? Can’t you read the room? Did He Rufei’s delusions rub off on you? Literally everyone who had seen Xiao Jue and He Yan together knows something is going on here. Older bro Xiao and his furen clocked it in within like five minutes when they still thought He Yan was a man. And Chu Zhao had seen them interact how much at this point?

Just watched eps 29 and 30 of Legend of the Female General...

He Yan kicked He Rufei's a** like the absolute queen she is!!!

He Rufei whining like a toddler (this is actually an insult to toddlers, I'm sorry kiddos, you're far greater than that idiot could ever hope to be :)

I was right! Xiao Jue's family had immediately clocked that he had some feelings for He Yan, and just being happy for him without any judgment

His friend (I don't remember his name yet 😅 the one who had given him the punishment) had clocked that Xiao Jue had something *cough feelings cough* for He Rufei, and now He Yan, and told our protagonist just how much Xiao had rooted for He Rufei *excited squealing*

Xiao jue's brother scolding him for not treating He Yan as well as she deserved, mrs, Xiao getting He Yan dressed properly and telling her that they'll get more clothes for her, so that she can finally live freely as a woman (after suffering comes happiness, the line gave me goosebumps 🙃) *happy dance*

Ms. Song giving Xiao Jue a shovel talk was sooooo sweet and scary too (Xiao wasn't scared because if he hurt He Yan he'd poison himself first >.<)

I think it was a scene designed to show just how much Xiao means to her, like, as the audience, we know that they it for eachother (especially after the communication and the appology scene 🤩🤩🤩) but this moment is a big shock to possibly even her, an experienced general, revealing to herself that yes, Xiao means so much to her that it shatters her walls hard enough to distract her mid-battle

I still think Xiao deserves a smack at the back of his head for worrying Yan so much 🥰

I LOVED the war scenes and the military tactics in ep 26 but did we have to have that unnecessary angst where she thought he was dead? Like I don’t think that’s how human minds work in. Aoife and death situation, I think she would have gotten angrier, compartemised and then tried to take down as many people as possible. She’s an experienced general, why did she have to cry so much without even seeing his body?

On the other hand, I loved their fight scene side by side. We finally know why they were called the Twin Suns of Wei. Such synchrony and such faith that the other had their back

the second funniest explanation of why nobody's talking about he rufei's half a foot height leap is they just thought he had a crazy late growth spurt over one month. the funniest is that they thought he'd had e-fucking-nough and bought some lifts

Everyone at some point in Xiao Jue's life has wondered if the man is gay

He gave that healing ointment to only two people ever and they were the same people XD

He had an entire room prepared which suited a warrior and he gave it to He Yan without a second thought. Fei Nu's reaction to He Yan getting the room implied that the room was meant for a special someone *cough He Rufei cough*

Maybe Xiao had wanted He Rufei to come with him to the garrison ('cos it's implied that him going there was planned a long ago, even before the king sent him off) which made his (He's) betrayal worse...

Which is honestly sad to think about ಥ_ಥ

Also, Fei Nu is my fav, the poor man is traumatized by walking in on Xiao and He in compromising positions O_o
