Out of Fight   Hi anon, this is 10 days late and I’m really sorry. Whoever you are I hope you haven’t been    worried this whole time. But I’m using this question as a little PSA type thing. To put it   simply, I’m not okay. I’m in a pretty bad situation right now with my parents. It’s honestly the    worst it’s been in a long time and I’m not even living with them now. 

   I don’t know what’s going to become of this blog. I’m considering deletion but I’ll think on it   for a few more days. If anyone wants to get in contact with me before this blog might be   deleted, come to my inbox and ask for my Discord, I’ll add you there, I’m literally always   on.

Headcanon: Carpentry || Always Accepting Headcanons!

Out of Fight    When it was time to move out of the dorms at Beacon, none of Team STRQ    had anywhere to go. Taiyang’s parents died when he had just finished his first    year at Beacon, the Branwen twins couldn’t go back to the tribes, and Summer    didn’t have a home of her own either. 

   They looked into buying something or renting something in the city, but they were    four huntsmen who were only just making their way in the world. They camped a    lot on Patch for a while since there was a lot of open space and they wouldn’t be    found too easily there. They all took jobs that paid and soon enough, Tai started    buying materials to literally build them a house.

   He’d worked a lot on the barn with his Father when he was younger, so he    remembered enough to make his way. Some things he taught himself or asked    around for advice in town. Within a few months, they had a small, makeshift home. It    didn’t have electricity or running water, no not yet. That came by the end of the year.    Then came the first addition, two separate bedrooms. Then another. And then another. 

   Soon enough he had build a huge one story home. The second story came when Raven    told him she was pregnant. He was nervous and decided to use his down time working    on the second story of the house, at all hours of the day. (Qrow would sometimes fly up    and peck at him if he was keeping him up.) 

   He still works on the house and also the workshop he built for Yang’s bike. He loves the    smell of wood and the feel of it under his hands.

With the girls living at beacon and Qrow only coming back once in awhile (and now them all running off to Haven), does Tai often find himself feeling lonely? If so, how does he cope with being on his lonesome?

Out of Fight   Tai get lonely very easily. When he gets too lonely, he’ll look at old pictures of    his family, his time at Beacon, and his parents even. But those just cause him    to start overthinking things so he tries not to do it too much. He stays busy;    carpentry work, training, meditating, and gardening are just a few of his hobbies.    When things get too bad, there’s always Zwei! Zwei is no normal pupper, oh no no.    Zwei is his therapy dog! 

   He got him after he sobered up and realized he needed a little help keeping him from    falling back into his depression. Zwei can instinctively tell when Taiyang isn’t feeling    too well and he’ll cuddle up to him and let Tai cry it out while staying in his lap.   Normally just having Zwei there to care for will help him, though.

Out of Fight   As things stand right now in canon, both of his girls are gone off to Mistral    right now. All he has at home is Zwei. When he lost Summer, he had a    shut down but someone was still there for his girls and he pulled himself    out of a deep, deep depression just for Ruby and Yang. They’re both gone    and out of the house now with no timeframe of when they’ll be back. If Qrow    died right now of all times when Tai is honestly at his most vulnerable? It    would shatter him.

   In my main verse, Taiyang and Qrow are newly engaged and planning to spend    the rest of their lives together. Taiyang has only been able to come to that    decision to ask Qrow after a lot of soul searching. After Raven left and Summer    died, he told himself he wouldn’t get married again, that he was just meant to be    alone. For Qrow to die? Right after he took such a big leap forward from his    previous thinking? 

   The first thing that would happen would be him would be a relapse. He used to be a    binge drinker. He would drink anything and everything he could get his hands on    just so he wouldn’t have to think about it. Then, if his girls didn’t come back or give    him some sort of indication of when they would be back, he would likely fall into a    cycle of self harm, hatred, etc. 

   He would be a different man and it’s honestly very scary to think about. His anger    would start getting the better of him again, he would loathe himself for not going out    there with Qrow, and he would completely shut out anyone who would try to help him    or was worried about him. Taiyang couldn’t and wouldn’t be able to handle being the    only one alive.

Out of Fight    Hi everyone, I know it’s pretty late but I just thought I should post this in    case people care. My queue is currently only sitting at two which means    it’ll only be good for a day. I have an idea for one more headcanon post    that I’m just going to write but after that my queue will be empty unless I    get inspiration to write random headcanons out of nowhere. So! Out of Fight   Does your muse forgive others easily?      It is honestly really hard to get back onto Taiyang’s good side. He can hold       grudges, but normally he’ll see reason. The only person that I can think he       holds a grudge against is Raven and even then his grudge doesn’t get in       the way of seeing her as a friend. He’s..definitely odd when it comes to this.

Out of Fight   Is your muse the oversharing type?      No not really. He doesn’t like to talk very much about what bothers him       unless he’s directly confronted about it. He doesn’t want anyone to know       what he’s actually feeling or thinking because he feels like he should be       stronger.

   Does your muse like to collect/hoard anything?      He doesn’t collect anything but he hoards tiny mementos. He has every       single drawing his little girls have ever drawn for him, every letter from friends,       ever last picture he can get his hands on. He clings to these desperately to       remember easier times.

   Does your muse like to have company over?      Absolutely! Taiyang is such a people person and he will always invite you back       for dinner or coffee, hell you could stay the night if you wanted. The house is so       big and lonely when he’s all alone so if he can help it, he’d love to have people       there.

How would Tai react if Raven suddenly had a change of heart and decided she wanted to come back and be part of the family?

Out of Fight      Alright I’m going to have to break this one down in segments a bit because       Tai would have different reactions to Raven wanting to come back and       Raven wanting to be part of the family again. 

      If Raven wanted to come back, he would honestly be relieved at this point.       He knows that the Tribes are dangerous and if he ever thinks too long about       Raven, he gets worried sick even though he knows she can protect herself. So       if she told him she wanted to come back, with no hesitation he would have a       room ready for her when she got there. 

      If Raven wanted to be part of the family? That’s where it gets dicey. When she       left (with hardly any notice mind you) Tai felt like she gave up that right. She       doesn’t get to play mom anymore now that the girls are grown, which is also       why he didn’t want Yang finding her until she was older, grown. She can be a       friend, an ally, but she doesn’t get to be family to the Xiao Long-Rose clan. It       might create some friction with Qrow, but this is one of the few things Tai will       never back down from.

      While I’m talking about it, let me put in my 2 cents on how Tai would feel if he       ever found out about Raven’s rule for saving Yang one time. He would be       absolutely furious, the most angry he has ever been. He would feel betrayed for       Yang and honestly if he did find out about that? He may not even let her come       back to live with them. Or if she was already living with them, he would probably       kick her out. But as of yet, Tai does not know about that little bargain Raven made       with herself.

Does Tai ever get a little jealous at how much Ruby idolises Qrow?

Out of Fight      He doesn’t get jealous so much as…concerned. They’ve had talks about       his alcoholic tendencies and that drinking isn’t cool and stuff. Ruby’s       always kind of known that that part of her Uncle Qrow isn’t super awesome       like the rest of him. Qrow helped him raise both of those kids, especially       when Ruby was a baby (right after Summer died). So no he doesn’t get      jealous because even though they both call him Uncle, he’s basically their       second dad. Though the moment he was most upset with Qrow was probably       when he told Ruby about her special gift. He wanted to hide it from her until       she trained a little more, and initially he thought Qrow just wanted to use her       powers to tip the war in their favor. He still thinks that deep down. Ruby leaving,       to him, is a direct result of how much she idolizes Qrow.

What are Tai's views on murder?

Out of Fight      Well it depends on your definition of murder. Was it done in self-defense?       Was it somehow an accident? If it was just straight up cold-blooded murder,       he would think the person committing it was evil. Could he kill someone?       No definitely not. In any situation, Tai would never bring himself to kill       someone no matter what they’d done. He’s too..optimistic. He hopes that       there can be good in everyone. And yes, this means that even if he came       face to face with Adam Taurus or Cinder, he wouldn’t be able to bring himself       to kill them. Even whoever killed Summer. He would never be able to live       with himself.

    ☀ He sniffles a little, leaning his forehead against the other’s, hugging       him tight. “You’re everything to me, Qrow.” He could feel the happy       tears stinging at his eyes, but he tried to fight them back. He moves to       kiss against his jaw lightly.

Yes, of course I will.” He keeps laughing with the other and shifts some of his rings around before letting him slip the ring onto the now free one. Pulling him up he wraps his arms around him and holds onto him tightly, not wanting to let him go.

    ☀ He slips the ring on and kisses against his head gently. He lets out a teary       laugh before lifting the other up off his feet, He spins him around, despite the       other being taller. “I love you so, so much, Qrow!” He sets him back down       before leaning up to take the other’s lips in a kiss.
