He was still new to the 126 family in mid season 3. By mid season 4 he is the fiancé and firmly entrenched in their ridiculous wonderful family

I can see both of them going overboard for multiple reasons when it comes to celebrating their first anniversary. TK goes the extra mile because he knows Carlos is a little down about the anniversary of Gabriel’s death and then Carlos going overboard to make up for still being a little sad that their anniversary is so close to his dads death. They just completely overdo it very sweetly and neither of them make comments about it because they know it’s their love language way of spoiling each other.

I think my brain was trying to protect me this morning when I queued up that ask up, I wasn’t even considering that their anniversary is always also going to be a few days after the anniversary of Gabriel’s death 🥺 I am home now and thinking about it, think of Carlos going overboard like you said because he feels guilty about the day being tinged in sadness. I might … need to write a little something about that.

It's going to be Tarlos's first wedding anniversary next month! How do you think they'll celebrate?

Something just extremely cheesy and romantic. I bet they both plan a bunch of silly gooey surprises and then the timing ends up contradicting with each other and they just laugh at how sappy they both are and end up going for a nice dinner and dancing in the moonlight somewhere. I have a hc that slow dancing is something that's so, so meaningful to them, because "Do you wanna dance?" "Yeah" is their origin story. Carlos having the courage to ask TK to dance is the reason they have each other, so every time they want to celebrate their love they hold each other and sway to sappy music and get all misty-eyed about it.

I just saw an edit of tk and I thought it was interesting, so it was Gwen saying in the background we saved him Owen (when she said it at the wedding) but I just remembered that at the rehearsal dinner when Owen had his speech he told tk that he saved his own life, and at first I thought it was bad writing like which one is it? But the more I think about it I think it goes well with the characters if that makes sense cause in my opinion I don’t think Owen had any help with tk getting better or if he did really little so Owen looks at it like my son did that all himself where as Gwen we saw she made him go to rehab so she gives herself the credit I wish she didn’t say we but I guess she had to be nice to Owen 😭

But what do you think 🤔

No I have also always been a bit confused about this lol because I dont' feel like it's made clear what the Gwyn appearing at the wedding actually is. Because like ... she's dead 😂 So is she a ghost? A spirit? is this show going the direction of confirming supernatural things exist? Aka is she actually really there, and therefore it is really her saying that? Or is she just in Owen's mind, and like the dream scenes in 3x04 it's not really her? In which case what she says really makes no sense, because if it's Owen imagining her there, he's contradicting himself from the rehearsal dinner. Just days earlier he said TK saved himself because no one else could and then he's imagining his dead wife giving him credit for it instead? Idk it's weird. I feel like the writers maybe just thought it would be sweet and emotional to have Gwyn there and didn't think too deeply about it beyond that. But it doesn't really make sense if you apply any logic to it.

I really think TK was taken advantage of when he was younger. He has this vulnerability along with a spark that draws people to him.

He’s also very attractive which many characters have commented on.

I just feel a vulnerable, needy, looking for validation TK who is between 15 to 22 was an easy target for someone wanting to take advantage / abuse a beautiful young person by manipulating their addiction to drugs.

And then you have Carlos, who’s so closed off and alone. His only real friend disappears. He’s distant with his family and can’t seem to make a connection to a partner.

I’m so glad they found each other. They gave each other safety, love and acceptance

Agreed it's definitely my hc that there are some men in New York who did not treat a young TK Strand as gently and respectfully as he deserved to be treated, and TK was in such a low and painful place that he didn't believe he was worthy of more than that.

Can we please make "I'm depressed" a valid reason to out-of-the-blue fall off the face of the earth?

I'm not busy.

I'm not tired.

My plate isn't full.

I'm not swamped with work.

I don't have a cold or flu.

I'm not laying awake at night. (But I am sleepy throughout the day.)

Nothing tragic or traumatic has happened.

I nor anyone I know or work with is going through anything.

You didn't do or say anything wrong.

But I'm not sad, either. I'm not homesick or in mourning. I'm not angry at anyone or anything.

Nothing is wrong...

I just woke up and suddenly being alive sucked, eating became a dumb idea and nothing mattered. I canceled training for the next two weeks, making up a lie, saying I'd be out of town on business.

And I have no other explanation for that, but I don't [can't] say anything because the word "depression" might as well be "itchy" to some people.

"Here, have a mango. You like mangos, right? This should cheer you up!" But I'm not sad.

"Just think happy things!" But I'm not sad.

"Did something happen? You know you can always talk to me!" About what? I'm not sad.

It'll go away just as it came: on its own.

How long it'll stay in my system this time is anyone's guess.

I've never seen that scene of Gwyn finding TK in the flashback in gif form before, and it's breaking my heart 😭

I'd be SO curious to know how things got so bad for the poor boy, and how he was able to hold down a job.

Out of interest, are you planning to explore TK's history in some of the upcoming missing moments? Or will TK's conversations with Cooper and his group meetings stay offscreen?

Yeah I will a bit! TK's conversations with Cooper will likely stay off screen because 3x13 is going to be from Carlos's pov, but TK is going to share more of himself with Carlos than he has up to this point, his messy past and things that he's ashamed of etc.
